Idk if either would really win, I mean you need Hamon or sunlight to kill a vampire. As a vampire, Jonathan wouldn't be able to use Hamon, and he'd be hard pressed to get Dio into sunlight without killing himself. And as the comment above me says, Dio would be constantly feeding, so he would be much stronger than Jonathan in pretty much every way, and would have an army of vampires. So if head smashing was an option as I sorta remember it being, Dio would win. The only way I could see Jonathan winning is by some how stealthing his way to Dio, catching him by surprise and taking him into the sunlight, sacrificing himself. Also, I guess if he got Zeppeli on his side, he could help Zeppeli finish him with Hamon.
Last time we seen Santana he was locked in the Speedwagon Foundation basements under UV lights, but pretty much alive. If they didn't move to a new timeline, I could see a part revolving around Santana escaping, becoming the Ultimate Lifeform and/or gaining a Stand. The two things I wanna see from this idea A. Vampire Jonathan fighting a Hamon trained Dio, but with Jojo still being the good guy and Dio being the antagonist. Bonus points on this idea if you can somehow still explain Dio getting into part 3, either through Hamon, or through the power of a stand, WITHOUT turning Dio into a vampire. and B. I do think it be difficult for Part 2 to happen in either case however, since its hard to think that Jojo would still have a child with Erina if he knew he was a vampire. I dont think Vampirism necessarily transfers to offspring but Jonathan doesn't know that.
I don't think he could have a child as a vampire. The only reason Dio could was he had Johnathan's body. So, everything changes in big ways. Part 2 could easily end up being Johnathan + Caesar & possibly William vs the Pillarmen. Since stands and the arrow exist, something like part 3 could happen with someone like Pucci leading & creating the villains, assuming Dio didn't turn himself into a vampire somehow. Johnathan returns yet again, this time teaming up with people who can use stands normally, like Kakyoin, Polnareff, & Avdol with him potentially getting a stand too. Not sure if Caesar survived to this point, but if he did, he'd easily be a contender. Valkyrie sprites 420 He would beat every enemy using Za Warudo and kill Dio with only a fist. No chance for the enemy, Speedwagon is the strongest of the serie obviously
I think it would go like this: Phantom Blood: Jonathan flees, never to be seen for three years. George soon succumbs to Dio's poison. Dio begins to study the stone mask, meets Zeppeli, and the two decide to stay in contact. After three years of sleep Jonathan confronts Dio at the end, and Dio walks backwards too far, falling and impaling himself on the statue. Jonathan, feeling his bloodlust drastically increase, and not wanting Dio to suffer as he slowly dies of blood loss, he drains Dio as fast as he can. Zeppeli arrives and sees Jonathan holding a drained Dio. He charges at Jonathan, but Jonathan escapes. He heads for Whitechapel, having heard of a serial killer that he could drain without feeling guilty of killing an innocent person. On the way, he passes through Ogre Street. Speedwagon and his gang attempt to jump Jonathan, but fail. Speedwagon begins to run away from Jonathan but is quickly pursued. Jonathan corners Speedwagon in an alleyway. Speedwagon, sensing his doom, accepts his fate and closes his eyes. Only... Jonathan instead offers his hand. Speedwagon takes it and asks Jonathan why he didn't kill him. Jonathan responds by asking him if he knows Jack the Ripper. Speedwagon laughs. He thinks that Jonathan is crazy if he wants to try to kill Jack. Jonathan tells Speedwagon that he is a vampire, but was turned into one against his will. Speedwagon listens closely as he tells his story. Speedwagon is moved by Jonathan's resolve to fight against his vampiric nature and not take the lives of innocents. He agrees to do everything in his power to help Jonathan find a way to go back to normal, while also searching for villains for Jonathan's food supply. In the meantime, Jonathan tries to find out more about his own abilities. He discovers how to use his eye beams as well as stone skin, an ability where he can turn his skin into rock, allowing hamon to travel harmlessly around his body. Speedwagon finally locates Jack and Jonathan sets out to find him. Jonathan finds Jack about to murder a very familiar face: Erina. Jonathan gets Jack's attention and tells him to leave Erina alone, only for Zeppeli to appear on the other side of Jack and scream, “Begone, foul vampire!” Jack, annoyed that he now has two witnesses to take care of, suddenly cleaves Zeppeli in half with a single swing of his gargantuan knife. Everyone is shocked. In an unstoppable rage, Jonathan clamps his jaw around Jack's throat and sucks him dry. Erina, even more frightened than she already was, asks Jonathan if it is true that he is a vampire. He admits that it is true, only for Erina begin hugging and kissing him. Erina states that she knows that Jonathan is still a noble man inside because he did not drain Zeppeli who was bleeding like a fountain. Jonathan feels very emotional, but pushes his tears back and faces Zeppeli who is on the brink of death. He asks Jonathan if he feels hungry looking at him. Jonathan admits that he does, but he refuses to stoop so low as to drain blood from an innocent man at death's door. Zeppeli ponders briefly about whether or not he may have been wrong about Jonathan before passing away. Jonathan has a one-night stand with Erina, and she becomes pregnant with George II. Jonathan continues his journey of vigilante justice to feed himself, while helping Speedwagon with his business pursuits occasionally. Battle Tendency: Jonathan and Speedwagon discover the presence of multiple stone masks in Mexico, and decide that it would be best to destroy them in case any new vampires surfaced. Speedwagon enlists the help of hamon master Straits who betrays him and uses the stone mask to become a vampire. While the rest of Battle Tendency is happening, Jonathan does not really do anything. He is only a vampire, so he isn't strong enough to defeat the pillar men on ability alone. He can't use hamon either, so he has to hope that his grandson Joseph can prevail against the pillar men. He has complicated feelings about Caesar, and doesn't know what to think of it. After the main events of Battle Tendency, he has the Speedwagon Foundation retrieve the stone so that he can personally study it. He eventually figures out how to use it to turn himself mostly back into a human (ages very slowly, no other abilities). He undergoes hamon training, seeking a way to help discipline himself to resist his still-lingering vampiric blood lust. Stardust Crusaders: Dio, having been unwittingly turned into a vampire by Jonathan, has been secretly formulating his plan to take over the world. He develops his stand, The World in 1983, which causes a chain reaction and results in the Joestars developing their stands. Jonathan develops his stand, “Deep Purple”, a vine-like stand that wraps around his fists to form boxing gloves that focus hamon into his fists and amplifies it. His signature move, Sunlight Yellow Overdrive, is replaced by Ultraviolet Overdrive, a much more powerful version. Being a hamon stand, he can also use spirit photography albeit a much more refined version than Joseph's. This is a trade off that he makes in exchange for the stand's abysmal range. Its range is only about five centimeters (under 2 inches). When Holly falls ill, he finally reveals himself to the rest of the Joestars and states what he thinks may be the cause: Dio, due to his vampiric connection to Jonathan, has awakened the stands of everyone in the Joestar family. Thus the journey begins. Jonathan is killed by Dio in the final fight.
wait how the joestars gained a stand if dio didn't have jonathan's body? And since johnathan drained dio he shouldn't be alive by stardust crusaders and finally:how can johnathan use hamon with his stand since he is a vampire?
If Jonathan died, hadn't impregnated Erina, along with the actual death of Dio then Phantom Blood would be the only part. George Joestar II wouldn't have been born and would have never met Lisa Lisa so then Joseph would have not been born. No Joseph means no Holly which means no Jotaro and if Joseph hadn't been born then there would also be no Josuke. No Dio + Jonathan means no Giorno. Jotaro not being born means no Jolyne. And if the Part 7 and 8 Universe depends on Part 6 happening then they wouldn't even exist.
@@Yobnana Stand User: Vladimir Putin. Special ability: KGB (enemy gets taken by a black vehicle that comes from nowhere, never to be seen again and nobody will suspect it was the Stand doing it)

to be honest, it'd be cool if vampirism was able to pass onto offspring. all Jonathan needed to do was have the sexy with Erina and then boom bang boom the Joestars are saved.
Even though he had Jonathon's body, I'm pretty sure after 100 years of being connected to Dio has somewhat altered some of Jonathon's DNA considering Dios' son's still have similarities to him.
Okay Phantom Blood : Dio Brando Battle Tendency : Dioseph Brando Stardust Crusaders : Diotaro Kulo Diamond Is Unbreakable : Diosuke Vento Aureo : Silvio Palervanna Stone Ocean : Dolyne Lujoh Steel Ball Run Universe Steel Ball Run : Diego Brando JoJolin : Diosuke Ligashikata Well Look Like Old Joseph Is Going Be So Mad And Jonathan And Jorge Joestar Will Rolling In Them Graves

What if Santana came back (he didn't die, remember?), and an older version of Shizuka Joestar (the baby Stand user that old Joseph adopted from part 4) was the protagonist for that part? I can't think of what the conflict would even be. However, seeing how Achtung Baby would be used in combat would be pretty interesting, and a Stand vs Pillar Man fight would be pretty cool.
Since most of the knowledge about the pillar men that led to their awakening came from speedwagon's researchs, in this version the pillar men would not be found and it would take longer for then to awaken Maybe time enough for Shizuka to grow up and be somehow end up in a bizarre adventure
I would like that. Hell it could even happen in the main universe since it doesn't contradict anything. I think santana would try and become the ultimate lifeform or gain a stand (or both) and maybe shizuka was entrusted with the red stone by joseph and so she has to keep it away from him.
Alternate universe: Jonathan is corrupted by the mask. Turns Dio, George and most of the town into zombies. Goes on to fight and defeat Zeppeli. Goes into hiding to discover how to cure his immunity to sunlight. Has a child during this time named Joseph, whom the mother smuggled away. (Possibly joins the Germans?) Finds and accidentally awakens the Pillar Men. Dies. Joseph searches for his father. I'm not sure how the story goes from there. Most likely with Lisa Lisa not being around (or maybe she is), the pillar men can't find the Red Stone of Aja. Joseph is half-vampire so is as strong as pillar men but immune to sunlight (sunburns easily though). Finds one of Jonathan's zombies, maybe Speedwagon, fights him and wins. Learning of his father through the zombie, he travels to Mexico and finds the pillar men. By this time he knows Hamon, but extended use injures his body. The pillar men want to use his body for experimentation. Hilarity ensues.
Jonathan would NEVER. I just can't imagine that. Maybe he still falls in love with Erina and has a child and then kills himself to prevent himself from going rouge.
I think it would be a lot more interesting if they both became vampires. after seeing the drunkard become a vampire, Dio would still be very interested in becoming one himself before facing Jonathan directly.
Question: does the stone mask influence personality of a person? Did it make Dio even more cruel, than he was? Straits less noble? It's kinda strange, that we have never saw a good person becoming a vampire. Dio was evil, Staits was possessed by the lust to live forever, that vamp killed by Lisa Lisa also was some sort of a murder.
Imo they're gonna get hungry for blood tho. Only those with high mental capacity could stave off the hunger but not for long. Of course we don't see good vampires because the vampire characters are evil in the first place. Dio is evil, Straits want to live forever, the lackeys are picked by their boss so they tend to get the merciless. The good vampires are dead, the stronger minds and morals can only stop themselves for so long. They go beastly and just get killed off by the sun sooner or later
@@hawtyboi like I said, a high mental capacity can stave off the hunger and we all know Dio has that. But then Dio is already evil from the start (before becoming a vampire) and he has no qualms on drinking blood in the first place, with that he can retain his sanity, he knows he has just to wait. They have accepted it and will do it. But the Morally good people would have a different time. They would have to concentrate the whole time not to drink blood, a little hole of relaxation would allow to let the hunger flow and lose themselves. The more they stop themselves, the bigger the rebound, the harder to maintain the hunger. Even if they have a willing victim, how long would the victim will last. Only levels of anime protagonistic mental capacity can endure that... but for normal people it's out of reach, that's why most people turn feral, and those who accept it, just drink and drink.
When I read the title, I figured the video would go in a different direction. Don't get me wrong though; it was pretty thought provoking. What I though this would focus on is if Dio turned Jonathan into a vampire to preserve his body while Dio's head bonded with it, leading to a noble yet annoyed Jonathan head to later be discovered by the Speedwagon Foundation, leading him to have some involvement in the plot of a part after SDC but before SBR. Maybe in the hypothetical part 6.5 with Shizuka as the lead.
What if Dio accepted to become immortal when Jonathan asked him? The whole story would've drastically changed and honestly I'm curious to see the consequences.
but couldnt Jojo as the paragon of justice he was become a good vampire? All vampires we seen where either evil people or servants of an evil vampire. I think Jonathan would become a hero of the night.
I actually thought of this after watching Phantom Blood, being that Dio’s original plan was to use the Stone Mask on Jonathan rather than himself. And overall this video is a very thoughtful and insightful analysis of what I thought’d most likely happen. Well done, good sir!👍🏽
Part 1 is the base of ALL of Jojo, even up to Part 7 since that's the alternative world of Part 1. SO YEA... This What-if could have changed Jojo completely. No Joesph, no Jotaro, no Josuke, no Gio, no Jolyne. In some extent, no Pucci so no reset so no Part 7 and 8. As far as this goes, this what-if ends with the Pillar Men and that's it... except no Lisa Lisa since the events of how Part 1 ended never happened. We would see Caesar but that's as far as it goes. Now what would be interested IS what if Jonathan, as a vampire, had mated with Erina before his death DURING the second scenario? I mean Gio, how he was born, shown no signs of being a vampire and I doubt the same would happen to George the second... but what if it did? What then?
@@ydn2911 I said Part 1 connects to Part 7. I really dislike Made in Heaven. It's cool but it's... like.. it kinda ruins what the original timeline was.
thanks for introducing me to this, i paused the video when i heard it was a manga, read the whole thing and came back to watch the video. i cried my eyes out at the ending, so beautiful, and honestly a tasteful encapsulation of the theme of fate in jojo. it shows the mangaka knew and loved what they were working with.
Zeppeli tried to kill Jonathan at first in the manga, but true that he stopped after he realized how much pain and suffering Jojo has been going through being a vampire. Unfortunately he did say there that there’s no turning back. This story is just from one of the manga from Virginia Room though, so I’m not saying there’s anything wrong on what you said. Ideas of the stories can vary by any fans.
You make awesome videos dude, you've brought up a lot of points regarding characters or concepts that I would have never imagined before. I'm always looking forward to your next ones! I also think that a video regarding Fate would be a really interesting topic to delve into, just due to how Fate and its themes work in JoJo.
I mean she technically did kinda except she has like a different name and no stand I'm sure she might get on if we get a story based on after the end of part 6
Damn I was hoping Dio would learn hamon and then it'd be the Brandos rather than the Joestars all teaming up to stop Johnathan in an alternative timeline completely
If he completely killed Dio before the ship scene, Lisa Lisa probably wouldn't have met George Joestar II, so no Lisa Lisa with hamon, no Aja Stone and no training for Joseph nor Caesar. Pillar men would probably win. However, if Jonathan survived the ship explosion, George II and Lisa Lisa would've met, they would have had Joseph. In both cases Dio is death or in the depths of the sea. Now we have a bifurcation: -If Jonathan leaves his Hamon training he would get old (assuming that he left his Hamon training in order to get old with Erina), afterwards all the events of Battle Tendency would happen. -If Jonathan kept training, he probably would have gone with Lisa Lisa in order to kill George's murderer. Maybe after that, he would've convinced her to come back and they both would have kept training their hamon, so they would be a great help in Battle Tendency. After Battle Tendency... Well, Joestar's history would end, because without Dio taking Jonathan's body, he wouldn't get the arrow and the Joestar family wouldn't develop stands, so parts 3 wouldn't happen. Also parts 6, 7 and 8 wouldn't happen neither, because without DIO's diary, Pucci wouldn't try to achieve Made in Heaven, and without MiH, there's no universe reset. It's curious how the death of a single character (the main character, but only one) was the trigger for the develop of 3/4 parts of the serie.
I read a fanfic where Dio used the mask on Jonathan. Zeppeli taught both Erina and Dio to use Hamon to try and hunt Jonathan down, while Speedwagon tried to convince Zeppeli that Jonathan hadn't turned evil and Erina didn't believe he had either, but Dio kept trying to rush Zeppeli into battle to erase the evidence.
I feel like Jonathan would use his vampire powers for justice since he is Jonathan and like team up with his whatever descendant or something to beat the pillar men. That would be epic
‘Kind sir, may I please borrow some of your blood? I apologize, but I have gotten rather thirsty, and being a vampire has its downsides..’ Jonathan as a vampire under an umbrella
If you want to read the doujinshi, the link it's pinned on the first comment. If you don't care about spoilers and you only want to know how it ends.........basically it's the same as Phantom Blood until the part when Dio should test the mask on someone and Jonathan meets Speedwagon............ Here Dio used the mask to try to kill Jonathan instead, then Jonathan becomes a vampire. Dio changes majors to archeology to continue Jonathan's research about the Mask. He's the one who meets Zepelli and he tells him the mask is evil and that he had to kill his father because he became a vampire because of it, that there's no cure. Speedwagon helps Jonathan, later becames confused when he finds out he looks just like a famous disappeared person, but with no signs of aging, later Jonathan reveals he's a vampire, but that he doesn't really want to be one, wants a cure. A lot of past characters meet (mostly Erina and a very old George) because too many years have passed, so Jonathan has finally left for dead and they celebrate a funeral even if they don't have a corpse. Erina visits Jonathan's grave. Jonathan also visits from afar. George finally dies. Dio and Jonathan die in a fire in the mansion. Dio didn't really need anything to fight because Jonathan wanted to die (although Dio still acts like an ass in the end and that's why he dies too).
If Jonatan Became A Vampire Then The Story Will Change Just Like. Part 1 Phantom Dio. Part 2 Dio Tendency. Part 3 Dio Crusader Part 4 Diamond is Dio. Part 5 Golden Dio.
I feel like both that doujin and this video are forgetting how becoming a vampire twists one's personality. A vampire Jojo wouldn't be the same kind-hearted gentleman we know.
Jonathan would’ve actually become a Vampire if Drunken Dio didn’t met those 2 Old Dudes in the alley. Instead he would’ve just continued his plan to put the mask on Jonathan lie he intended.
Dió: I just be waiting to jojo to use my (without testing) stone mask on him hahahahahahahahahahaha. 5 minutes later. Dio: hahahahahaha I i'm in danger

Battle Tendency:
Jonathan and Speedwagon discover the presence of multiple stone masks in Mexico, and decide that it would be best to destroy them in case any new vampires surfaced.
Stardust Crusaders:
Dio, having been unwittingly turned into a vampire by Jonathan, has been secretly formulating his plan to take over the world.
And since johnathan drained dio he shouldn't be alive by stardust crusaders and finally:how can johnathan use hamon with his stand since he is a vampire?
uh it just works

oy, where's the rest? i was having a good time reading this!!!
@@NexusBreaker I guess the rest would be the same
If Jonathan died, hadn't impregnated Erina, along with the actual death of Dio then Phantom Blood would be the only part.
Pokemon Soldier Red but the part 7 and 8 universe aren't related to the original universe
part 6 Didnt affect 7 and 8
Then they would be untouched or slightly altered correct?
Pokemon Soldier Red yeah pretty much, although they are a parallel of the other parts, so maybe they'd be altered alot

Well, Dio had loads of children as a vampire, so it's entirely possible.

Forte Erick history Theatre
What if Santana came back (he didn't die, remember?), and an older version of Shizuka Joestar (the baby Stand user that old Joseph adopted from part 4) was the protagonist for that part?
I can't think of what the conflict would even be. However, seeing how Achtung Baby would be used in combat would be pretty interesting, and a Stand vs Pillar Man fight would be pretty cool.
Since most of the knowledge about the pillar men that led to their awakening came from speedwagon's researchs, in this version the pillar men would not be found and it would take longer for then to awaken
Maybe time enough for Shizuka to grow up and be somehow end up in a bizarre adventure
Giorno is Dio's son yet he doesn't seem to have vampire powers or weakness. Although, to be fair, he does the WRYYYY thing at one point...
His son would be named Jorge not Joseph
Jonathan would NEVER.
I just can't imagine that.
Maybe he still falls in love with Erina and has a child and then kills himself to prevent himself from going rouge.
JONATHAN WOULD NEVER.
And thus, Humanity met it's end in 1938 by Ultimate Beings.
Good Fucking Job, Pucci.
"I DEMAND MY HUMANITY BACK, DIOOOO"
I think it would be a lot more interesting if they both became vampires. after seeing the drunkard become a vampire, Dio would still be very interested in becoming one himself before facing Jonathan directly.
Than Giorno would probably have blue hair.
Mom pick me up I'm scared
What if Joseph became the ultimate being instead of kars?
oh lord
His hamon would accend beyond the suns capabilities
He'd be fucking around for no reason probably.
His brain would get tore and pierced apart only kar’s kind can do this
You fool
As he reads the manga left to right, so he is omnipotent and therefore ultimate
Question: does the stone mask influence personality of a person? Did it make Dio even more cruel, than he was? Straits less noble? It's kinda strange, that we have never saw a good person becoming a vampire. Dio was evil, Staits was possessed by the lust to live forever, that vamp killed by Lisa Lisa also was some sort of a murder.
Maybe, like Will Zeppeli's Father who murdered all 58 crew in a boat
Imo they're gonna get hungry for blood tho. Only those with high mental capacity could stave off the hunger but not for long. Of course we don't see good vampires because the vampire characters are evil in the first place. Dio is evil, Straits want to live forever, the lackeys are picked by their boss so they tend to get the merciless. The good vampires are dead, the stronger minds and morals can only stop themselves for so long. They go beastly and just get killed off by the sun sooner or later
@@DeathkaiserG well dio did live without blood for a century tho
Jonathan, being the man that he is, would probably thank Dio and continue his research of the mask and it's abilities while serving them tea.
I want to see a story with Dio as a good person and Jonathan is still the same.
then what happens to Part 3 lmao
@@idan8259 they'd have died of age.
it exists. its named dio's bizarre adventure
Try Dio's bizzare adventure, its hilarious
So a sitcom
What then?
parts 7 and 8 are independent of the other 6 parts, so they could still happen
Part 7 and 8 would still have happened
People who think Made In Heaven is tied to Parts 7 & 8 have definitely not read Stone Ocean at all.

thanks for introducing me to this, i paused the video when i heard it was a manga, read the whole thing and came back to watch the video. i cried my eyes out at the ending, so beautiful, and honestly a tasteful encapsulation of the theme of fate in jojo. it shows the mangaka knew and loved what they were working with.
Jonathan is so innocent I think if he's a vampire he'd run away to avoid hurting anyone
I don't think Zeppeli would kill Johnathan, rather, Johnathan begs Zeppeli for help and Zeppeli caves and helps Johnathan return back to normal.

Now we have a bifurcation:
-If Jonathan leaves his Hamon training he would get old (assuming that he left his Hamon training in order to get old with Erina), afterwards all the events of Battle Tendency would happen.
El Tío Enroca La Roca 7 and 8 aren’t related to universe reset
I love how Kaleb is just explaining all of this to a mudkip Lmao
I read a fanfic where Dio used the mask on Jonathan. Zeppeli taught both Erina and Dio to use Hamon to try and hunt Jonathan down, while Speedwagon tried to convince Zeppeli that Jonathan hadn't turned evil and Erina didn't believe he had either, but Dio kept trying to rush Zeppeli into battle to erase the evidence.

Jonathan as a vampire under an umbrella
Ah yes, Zeppeli's bizzare adventure
He’d be a good guy that eats cows and drinks their blood and lives in a small castle. He helps out all other JoJos in every other part.
What about Erina though?
Jonathan would have to have met Erina because of the whole two guys taking Erina's doll.
Proto Man In the manga she moved somewhere else with her dad during the first section of the story, and that was when Jonathan turned into a vampire
“I rejected my humanity, Dio!”
Me: *reads title*
Also me: "Wait, didn't he, when dio took him over?"
