    Great video. 3 additional tips: try isomorph mode („Push Mode“) for Keyboard mode (settings > hardware > page 2). Shift + Auto locks automation record (same as on MK3/+). Shift + A enables follow on the step sequencer. Step sequencer bonus tip: press step(s) until blinking, then: swing + encoder = nudge note, volume + encoder = velocity, press + turn encoder = note length.

      Automation lock only works on the device, that you have enabled the lock.

    • @BlezzBeats
      @BlezzBeats  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeblo05 By device do you mean the Jam/Maschine? Cause I noticed about automation not being recorded when auto is active on the Maschine and i move the jam and vice versa, but locking auto on the jam doesnt work at all for me. Or do you mean a setting on a device like the sampler or audio engine?

    I learned Maschine on the Maschine Jam. TBH it's all I need along with my laptop computer to produce a track. It was my traveling instrument for a few years. It's underrated by those who didn't take the time to learn it. Those who really did can do some things with it that can't be done so easily with the 16 pads Maschine. 10:50 yup!! That's one that I love to use. Great video Blezz Beats

    mmmhmmm....the hawk has arrived to claim his tutorial surprise....you know sir.....this is the beginning of the next level of experiments. After a few minutes I instantly saw why you doing this video was exactly what I thought it would be. While there are some MJam courses out there....there's only one Blezz and it's your production perspective that is unique. The way you think like a user and make the connections of what works and what doesn't and how to get around. You have a way of speaking like one of us only from an elevated understanding of the entire Maschine workflow. I'm ready again...when you are...to purchase the Jam course when and if you decide make one. You asked some basic questions and explained some general ideas that I also was questioning...your perspective is priceless bro..for..real...for....real...I just recommended you again to someone on FB to so....you cannot stop me from singing your praises see you in tbh homie!!

    Maschine Jam is getting rare now! two on the bay, one from japan. Used to be 6 or 7 most days, but sometimes none now, and as they get more rare, the price goes up. Anything under £200 is a bargain especially as native instruments have updated the Maschine plus to work with Jam.

    Thanks for the great video. Two questions, how do you record volume automation and group/instrument mutes? It's one thing to be able to perform, say, the volume of a synth pad or drum group coming into or out of the mix, but how do you record this change as part of your arrangement? Also, let's say you want to mute drums a few bars before the end of a scene? I cannot seem to find a way to do this, and it's one of the fundamental ways of mixing and arranging and, in my opinion, a massive oversight of the Maschine workflow.

    • @BlezzBeats
      @BlezzBeats  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! That's what the erase button is for, just make sure those patterns you wanna mute on are duplicated as unique and you're good to go. I've made like 3 videos about workarounds though, most recently a few weeks ago. Just search record track mutes blezz or something like that :)

    Wish there was a good way to record the maschine output in multitrack format. You kind of have to loop it into the sampler and if you screw something up, congratz... You do it all over again.

    Hey there, I'm considering getting a jam to compliment my plus, the inspiration was from seeing people use launch pads to be able to trigger patterns, and lock states on the same device and page. I am less interested in having to figure out how to make that work, so the maschine jam looks like a great plug and play solution, but I see that patterns and lock states dont seem to exist on the same page, so my question is... can you be in pattern mode on the jam, and lock state page on the plus, so that you can change them both at the same time? Thank you for your considerizing lol Also thanks for the fantastic content.

    • @BlezzBeats
      @BlezzBeats  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you can! That’s one of the things that’s so dope about it, the navigation on the Jam is independent from that on the Maschine. So you’re just expanding the spaceship control deck.

    I already own a Maschine MK3 and a KK S49 MK2. Would the Jam be benefitial for song structure/arrangement tasks? And I find the metering for group and master volume kinda neat. Could get a Jam for a decent price.

    • @BlezzBeats
      @BlezzBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely, if you have many patterns across many groups piecing them together to new scenes is so fast

    • @MakingMadBeats
      @MakingMadBeats 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlezzBeats Thx! Well, most of the time, the amount of patterns in each group isn' t that huge. Maybe 3 to 4. So, I' m not really shure if the Jam would help me in my setup.

    Yah Mang, i just traded my Maschine Studio for my Maschine Jam which i sold because i thought i wouldn't need it, but now I'm rocking the + and want it BACKKKK!!!.... My prayers been answered. Hey Blezz, I'm still trying to understand if my CPU is way overloaded if you load CRATE CUTZ (> Answers Kit It's idling at 43% Just one Group. It doesn't seem like there's that many effects. Sometimes I wonder if my maschine is wonky, and i just traded it for a new one... Maybe I don't understand the concept of just loading what i need but usually i load like 3 or 4 groups and then pick and choose sounds and jam along... I can't tell if it's the limitations of the Maschine or i'm not using the CPU wisely (on the standalone)

    • @BlezzBeats
      @BlezzBeats  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Crate cuts is notoriously packed with long fx chains on every sound and group, but ye you gotta keep an eye on them. Idling around 40-50 is like default, its pretty much never at 0

    • @lofi_soul_jazz
      @lofi_soul_jazz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlezzBeats Hey Blezz, thanks man, it's good to know that it's notoriously packed, lol i just want to know if i'm working within the limits of the maschine + or if i got a dud ya know... it eat's up my own personal memory!...
      One more question if you don't mind,
      Sometimes if I'm like got a few groups going, then I'm at like 75% or so,
      Sometimes some of the sounds clip...
      usually bass drum sounds, though can't say for certain...
      Is this normal too or should i only expect clipping when it's 100% or very high?
      Thanks so much,
      Fan and student of Noobs Course!

    Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm unsure if you could use it as a mixer in the DAW or just paired with another Maschine. I'm considering this controller as a control surface and for expression ccs, which I'm aware it's not what it was originally designed for.
