I’m still amazed at those folks out there actually thinking these cool controllers are ONLY for beat making and EDM and the like. I’m into Rock and Indie only personally, and amazed at the integration and NEW workflow I’ve now adopted. Native Instruments have the best sound libraries to cater for everyone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is great, but how do you record this performance? I cannot figure out a practical way of recording instrument/group volume automation. It seems like a routine task, but I have yet to find a good solution that is as simple as pressing the record or the auto button and playing it like you're doing here. The same goes for group/instrument mutes, i.e. just recording turning a pattern on or off or changing patterns mid scene. I do this live all the time, and it's great to jam that way, but you cannot record any of it, which to me seems like a massive oversight. Any ideas?
I'm so close to pulling the trigger for Maschine and Maschine Jam, but the only thing I'm struggling to understand is how to incorporate external audio in the creative workflow. This video is awesome because a lot of what I do is composition type stuff and "conducting", but I also incorporate my guitar as a drone device. My goal is to create drones and sounds from my guitar, loop them and manipulate them post loop while mixing them with other midi arrangements. I already own the Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 which is why I'm curious about Maschine and Maschine Jam. Would this work with Maschine or would I be better off using something like the APC40MK2 (or even a Push 2) with Ableton?
Christopher Murphy thanks for the kind words! It’s a hard question... did you see my video comparing Push 2 to the MK3? The Maschine software excels at creating long loop based arrangements, but if you need a non looping timeline based environment, neither controller can help you (including Akai) - you’ll be using the software mostly
Check out NI's website they're having a huge sale, they got different Maschines bundled with different Komplete 11 packages for crazy cheap. I had already picked up my MK3 just before the sale started >:( but upgrades to Komplete 11 Ultimate are also 50% off so I managed to get in on that
i got a jam, studio, and komplete 11 ultimate. absolutely no regrets. you can't go wrong with it so long as you're willing to invest some time learning everything. the workflow is very intuitive once you learn how to do everything but it does have an initial learning curve.
Spend the time learning the workflow and you will reap the benefits of NOT using mouse for the mundane stuff. I’ve integrated S88 +mascjine mk3 + Maschine jam...I play and record guitar into maschine mk3 and control the patterns so fast with all other Kits Bass Keys ( jam + mk3) work flawlessly together...and your DAW can control also by using the Maschine 2 software plug in. Sync works perfectly...studio one v 5. And earlier
Wow....that's pretty amazing that all of this can be done with Jam! Now this is on my list of "things I wanna try." I have Jam for almost three years, and just upgraded to Komplete 12. I am guessing that the individual KONTAKT instruments are part of the factory instruments? I'm really inspired; thank you!
Hallo , thank you for this useful Video, I have 1 question plz, how could I play 2 Maschine in one like you ? Should I use 2 Maschine software or ? Thank u ✌️
I wouldn't really call this "conducting", per se. It's more like live mixing, and in this instance its with orchestral instruments. Still pretty cool though
That's partially true. The whole point of a conductor is to have someone give a tempo and modify that tempo expressively. Of course, mixing is a huge part of conducting but that's not necessarily live.
@@loopop I can add maybe / Traktor Kontrol F1 DJ and Traktor Kontrol X1 MkII DJ with maybe a 25 key midi keyboard could probably do some dj stuff with the combo with mk3 and jam all together just not sure how I would go about all the connections together
For orchestra stuff I'll better spent money for the A61 keys, anyway you no need to switch groups and scenes that fast, so with addition MK3 is just ok
A61 Keys for Orchestra? Worst Keys I own for expressional Playing. If you need good Keys get the Keylab MK2 Series. Had the S61 from NI and those Fatar Keys make terrible Noise while playing. Never played anything worse than NI Keys in my Life and I play Piano since 1993. Peace ✌🏻
Best audio gear site on the web, hands down.
Best Jam video ever, and the Song is Amazing. I‘m inspired!!!

Beautiful Thank you
Sometimes our most simple compositions are our best. This example confirms the theory.
Hmm planning to buy this for my live shows thanks

So many groove boxes, so little time :)
Thomas Hoffend so true
Great video and well pro edited for a good experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks! I don’t remember what I used here but 12 has everything
my jam just stopped booting up from the Machine+ usb.. :(

I used the software and the two controllers
Can make more and more detailed it?

LaunchNinja thanks ... I made this video after I met with a friend who is a conductor - he said “all I do is mix and balance”...

Do you have a full class for Maschine Jam?
No sorry
🙏❤️🙏
Is it possible to record the movement of touch strips in an automation line? Thanks
yes
Bro you using it standalone mk3 and jam or with laptop
mk3 only works with a computer; you need Maschine+ for standalone
@@loopop awesome can I mix any music with mk3 and jam add any house music and blend together?
@@pierrefitch these are more for creating tracks, rather than mixing songs like a DJ

Could you share the project file for this? Have been trying to reverse engineer without success.
Sorry I no longer have the files unfortunately
