Love the vids man they have helped a lot. High str items have saved my business. I see people everyday on marketplace trying to offload their entire eBay inventory and it’s just low str junk, people think they can sell anything if it’s “vintage”. This is why we will rise while they fall.
Yes, please do a media video. For a person like myself who has limited storage space, media is a direction I'm getting into. Knowing that media items weigh the same on each format is helpful for listing. CDs 5oz, DVDs 3oz.
This was an amazing video. Please do more like this. I like how you did a sold/ comps, and then also went out, also the stuff your friends sold that are in a different niche. So helpful
I love love this guy! Thank you. I must say though, as a “mature” aka gray haired old lady, I love how you explain not all colors or shades of makeup sells well. Duhh say the women watching. Kind of like when you discuss golf clubs, bats, and gloves. I am TOTALLY CLUELESS😂😂❤
You have the most helpful resell channel by far. Most of the resellers on youtube are not reselling at a high level like they claim. They are making money selling a dream to their audience:
Today I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found a magnavox vhs/ dvd recorder with remote. Had to pay $20, but looks like I can sell for $140. Finding electronics in my area is a miracle! I think I just happened to walk in right as the guy was putting things out.
If anyone is looking for those boxes with dividers, they carry them at just about every board & card game store. Mostly used for card games like Magic etc
Klin-eek. Thought you needed another translation lol. My mom and I used to buy only Clinique stuff for like 20 years. Then a rep told us its basically the same as Cover Girl. I don't think she meant to say that out loud 😅
I find the retail arbitrage thing very interesting, I found and sold a few things you mentioned in the last video you made about it. You should share which tiktoker you saw that advertised the sales, it would help alot
I'm practically crying, I curbed our busted Dyson like an idiot. Wish I saw your video first. I'm also getting back into reselling after a long while and nothing is selling yet lol Just clothes so far but hoping with your tips, I'll do better. Thanks!
I've been full-time reselling for almost seven years and still learn a lot from your content. I'm impressed by the amount of inventory you have. How much staff do you have handling listing and order fulfillment tasks?
I would like a video of how to authenticate sunglasses and eye wear. We never buy them because there are so many fakes and we don’t want to get messed up and lose our eBay store. More than that we don’t want to sell somebody a fake and then think bad of us.
Hi Jake, excellent vid! I'm new to your channel and I have a question., Some of the resellers are complaining about Ebay recently. Do you have any issues as I get into this?
Good list. I avoid selling anything that goes in you (food) or on you (makeup) though. Too many potential issues from VERO's, allergic reactions, spoiled, etc. Too many risks to deal with.
I've heard many TH-cam sellers say "good" STRs differ for different products. With this in mind when you are going through individual products like this and you say "Make sure it has a strong sell through rate..." (about 1:15ish) it would be really helpful if you could estimate what is a good STR for this product and/or catagory, in your experience.
I talk about this often on my channel. 80% 90 sell through rate or better. Regardless of category and items. that’s what I recommend but you can adjust that for your business and goals as you see fit 😃
Because of your recommendation, i recently got a large lot of dyson parts for $10 because a guy wanted them out of his house. Have 2 cannisters already listed for $40 ea since those were easy to identify. Im trying to figure out what some of these other parts are so i can list them. Have any recommendations or education materials you used?
@@Janparchanski-s7q not necessarily. He is talking about the cost of shipping. He doesn’t say who is paying for it. I assume it’s the buyer, but some sellers ship free. I was directing my question at the maker of the video, so let’s let him answer.
The thing that frustrates me is the fact that no reseller talks about Tax. In any business setting aside 30percent is standard practice. my question is do you charge tax when you sell on ebay and all of these other sights or does that eat into your profits?
I’m intrigued when you say you lost items for parts. Do you have a video with any info? Do you post the whole piece and say parts only? Or do you take it apart?
This is all stuff I used to buy to resell but I never find this stuff anymore. I guess too many resellers here. I am not finding near the good inventory that I used to.
FYI: you said that you sold those pair of Bose Speakers for a little over $80...On Ebay they were selling around $180-$230, so someone got a really good deal from you!
So when you are looking at the hundreds of CDs in the media area of a thrift do you have criteria of what to comp or do you comp everything or do you guess and check
I am trying to get a group of seniors together to sell their gently used stuff in an effort to downsize. Sell through rate will probably not be good on most of their items. What can we do to sell stuff like that? I would lot up some of the clothing, take great photos, and pay for eBay promotion. What else do you suggest we do with long-tail items? Thank you, Grandma Bunny 🐰 in Phx.
Do you always sell the wifi routers with power cable and ethernet cable? I've gotten a couple free that only had ethernet cables and don't know if it's worth trying to sell without the power adapter. (I've also heard that you need to plug them in and clear any previous settings / passwords from the old owners?)
I know its a lot, but are you able to provide and example for me of a item: listing the purchase price, ebay fees, and income tax deducted. I'd like to know how much profit you make per item. About 50%?
You can’t do that on a single item. You can’t reasonably deduct gas, rent, employee hours, tax credits, donations, employee costs, interest from a possible business loan etc on 1 sale. You do this on your total revenue and total coast of doing business
If I pick up a collectible figurine and it says Japan on the bottom, I instantly put it down. Mass produced, usually knockoffs of better produced pieces.
notice you mention the cost to ship that vacuum hose was only $9 even though the buyer paid $20. Did you opt out of the option to offer the buyers equal shipping discounts?
Bro, you had me when you said, "I want you to sell more so you can spend more time with your family..." I dig it. Great video!

These are the comments I love most. Thanks for reaching out and keep bettering your present and your future!
They may sell it but not for what they thought. There are TH-cam creators making it look easy to see vintage items so people try it. Ughhhh

Such great info. Thanks for never gate keeping your knowledge. I’ve learned so much from your videos.
Please do a media only video!
Will do!
BARBARELLA is a movie from the 1960s. Jane Fonda! Giggity!
Good family movie.👎
Hanoi Jane.

Clin-eek, my sister-in-law was a rep for them
“Clinic” ha

BARBARELLA is a futuristic sci fi movie that came out in 1968.
Classic movie.
My Walgreens had the cereal on sale for $3.33!!! What an easy $15 profit for each sold...
I find the retail arbitrage thing very interesting, I found and sold a few things you mentioned in the last video you made about it. You should share which tiktoker you saw that advertised the sales, it would help alot
I use a software called deal solider link below 👇. I just use that and walk into stores and scan stuff I don’t follow a tiktoker for it😃
There is a youtuber/tiktokker who uses that same software.
The Barberella that you sold was an old movie with Jane Fonda. Great sale.
Finally caught up on all your videos from your very first one. Thank you for content i have been learning so much!
the last hour of the day has been very good for my goodwill.

I Love the trading card monster boxes as storage for this stuff.... so clutch
Thanks, Jake. Great content...as usual.
You have one of the best channels on youtube ! We are everything sellers as well.
Hey thanks so much!
wow, the food stuff is cool...i wouldn't really have thought to look out for special current boxes and such
Watch me retail arbitrage video on this channel
This guy is the real deal.
Haha thank you!
this video was so filled of good ifo i wanted to re thumbs it up several times
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! You're awesome

One part time currently and then my dad just listed 10 items for me today for the first time
@@JrideFlips It's a massive effort. You have my respect and admiration.
My mother used Clinique products. They were sold at Meyer & Frank and higher end dept. stores.
Its pronounced
Clin eek

Great video. Just discovered your channel. Just wondering what kind of box do you ship the cereal in?
Great video! No one teaches this better!
Good list. I avoid selling anything that goes in you (food) or on you (makeup) though. Too many potential issues from VERO's, allergic reactions, spoiled, etc. Too many risks to deal with.
Loved it Jake!
Great video do u do calculated shipping?
Very informative much appreciated bro
Media only video would be awesome...VHS..dvd..CD's...by the way awesome videos
Clinique = Clen-eeek
Barberella is a late 1960's film with Jane Fonda.
"Clinic" gave me a lil chuckle! 😅 But that's how good he is. He doesn't need to know how to say the brands, just gotta check the sell thru 🤷♀️
What you called yarn ( the multiple ones)
They are called Embroidery Thread.😊
Great video as always!!👍👍👍
Thinking about reselling…. Thank you for the all of the info
Watch TH-cam content daily for awhile and your have an awesome start and you’ll do great!
Omg sir jride uploaded
I need to start looking up phones. I see them everywhere!
Individual CDs don't do well for me on Ebay, but CD lots do. Especially lots of artists or genres.

What about a video on the items you part out. Just picked up 3 dysons for $10 and don’t know where to start?!?
Hi! When you’re talking about the shipping, do you ship everything free?
Of course not, that's why he says PLUS shipping.

Hi great video! I recently seen your video about free shipping can you do a video accepting returns or not?
I go over all these questions all the time in live Q&As. I have free 30 day seller pays shipping returns
@@JrideFlips Ok thanks
How do you sell makeup, like lipstick, during the summer with the heat? Don’t they melt?
Selling makeup and skincare on eBay is a disaster waiting to happen lol. Those companies are bananas
How come?
What's this mean?
Nothing - this is what you call a looser
He doesn't know what he is talking about when people are selling food on eBay😂and I see cosmetic products all the time on eBay
22:37 That's a Black Lantern figure I don't know the name of it off the top of my head.
Edit: I realized the name while typing it out it's Nekron.

Look for cheap lots of baseball cards with those 5000 count boxes - toss the crappy cards and keep the box!
Where do you get cosmetics so low? Thanks
Could you explain how you make money on shipping, please? Thank you!
How do you test the routers
thank you homie
Have you ever had success with art prints? Like concert or movie posters?
Do you have the url for ross? I can't seem to get it on the internet. Thanks in advance.
I would like to see a media one.
Question on internet modems and routers. Used. How do you know if it’s not locked? With someone else’s account password or whatnot?
On 3/10 I have to call the company and get them unlocked. Usually takes 15 minutes
Do a cd media video! Thanks for everything sir
Is there a way to test routers and modems?
Fantastic video.
Mecha-Godzilla, just bought one new for $25

Tell us about the yarn ??? What’s the deal on that I see that everywhere and walk on by.
Where on ebay do you see the sell rate of an item?
Modems - I had issues in the past when they were locked or they were not usable. Not really sure what that was about. any tips on that?
Call the company and get it unlocked. Usually take about 15 minutes
Do you test the modems?
How do you ship big items
If I pick up a collectible figurine and it says Japan on the bottom, I instantly put it down. Mass produced, usually knockoffs of better produced pieces.
I Instantly look everything up and let eBay tell me what to pass on and what to buy😀
They put you on a G-fuel can. Awesome dude!
Haha a few people have said I remind them of pew Dee pie 😂
A media and video game video please!

Generally shipping includes handling in business. This s and h line in receipt s.
How many items do you have for sale?
He has done videos on this subject. I think last I heard he scaled down to about 1500 items but usually stays above 2500 items
It’s not about how many items you have but most importantly is str that’s everything!!!
I don't understand how you can sell used modems when new ones go for cheap on amazon?
Do you sell the food on eBay?
Where did you buy your shelves and what are the dimensions ?
Home Depot, husky, 73x64x24
Last clip game me dejavu haha
Did I run the same clip 2x?
So most of you inventory comes from thrift stores?
You’re just awesome!!!
I didn't know about the router's, i just donated 2
