12:09 REALLY IMPORTANT if you can: TAG these with a DATE , not just the word "vintage". People get so SLOPPY with this and it will cost them sales. These are OBVIOUSLY from the mid to late 1960s - and possibly EARLY 1970s. I will approximate - generally - just so that people's EYE will go right to it - IF they DON'T want 1980s stuff (or 1940s stuff) . "Vintage Easter Die-Cut Decorations 1967 - 1971 Era Mixed Lot" . Was there a BRAND name ? Did it say "Hong Kong" or "Taiwan" or "Japan" or "Made in USA" ? It would not hurt - to throw in the word "Hallmark" because that is pretty much the audience for this.
13:28 Same deal- ADD a date . Tornado is like 1971-1974 ish. Nice to add a date- gives the item more "flavor". The person buying this would not want it if it was from 1982.
Great video! I've been searching for a good collection to purchase, but I can't seem to find much here in Georgia. Even if I do, it's usually pretty far away, and since I don't have my license yet, I have to convince my dad to drive me three hours 😂. Hopefully, someday I can get my first collection to sell, especially once I get my license; I can really upscale my reselling business. Personally, I focus on garage sales, and with the weather getting warmer here in Georgia, more and more sales are popping up. Your comment about Goodwill is so true, lol. I rarely find anything there, and everything is overpriced. I prefer local thrift stores; I've been flipping a lot of cheap plushies from 50 cents at my local thrift shops, selling them for $10 - $25. Also, had my greatest sale a couple of days ago for $300; I paid $25. Love watching your videos, especially the side of pulling and packing orders. It feels like that's not covered much in the reselling community; mostly, it's just Go-Pros at garage sales and flea markets. Nice! I really do think there should be a mix of both lower priced items and higher priced items. With the economy what it is, not everyone can buy the expensive things. I see a trend of resellers listing only higher priced items as a business model and I get that, everyone should have their own goals, but I think you are smart to include a mix. You'll get the customers they miss out on. Just my thoughts anyway! 😊
We just absolutely love selling a little bit of everything.. it keeps it fun and interesting!! Actually excited about this deal we just made Friday because it’s a lot of items that we typically don’t have a chance to buy so it should be fun to learn a little bit from it and fun to show on video

Yes, it does eat into the profits quite a bit but with these items we list we just try to make anywhere between $5 and $15 leftover after shipping and fees of course. We definitely don’t plan on getting by with such small orders, but it really helps fill out each day with minimal time invested.
@@resellcny I feel like u have to sell little stuff in lots. If I don’t get 20$ or more per sale I’m not making much at all for some reason. Still newer to the game so maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Most of my smalls do not cost much at all to ship. If they do then I just add the shipping cost to the price or just charge shipping from the get-go. As long as your purchase price on the item is within an acceptable range then your profit margin should within reason. I’ve noticed that, while I do make ok money on smalls, the biggest positive is the clientele that it brings to my eBay store. They might come for the small(s) but I notice that they eventually come back and purchase something else that has a higher profit margin…as long as you have a good mix of items

I was definitely surprised by how well the ones we had sold.. I think it’s just those specific ones that do well and the fact the most of the stuff we had was brand new
How do you deal with ebays rediculous high final value fees ? I sold an item for $120 and after tax and value fee I was left with only $75 outta pocket. Which I feel like ebay is scamming its sellers more so now that customers servies sides with the buyers not the sellers for return items.
Good answer on sourcing. I live in Kansas City and there are 50+ thrift stores. Some good, some bad. Clothes are king, and you have to know 500 brands to be the ace. I also find good toys, games, books, and kitchen stuff. You just have to know when and where to go with thrift and go a lot.
Yep some areas are just sooooo much better when it comes to stores like that! Our area just doesn’t support too many like that… I wish it did though because it looks like a fun treasure hunt!!
I am not a big fan of thrifting either. I really only go when Grandma has to go to a doctors appointment. Her primary is in the same plaza has a Goodwill. I more enjoy pallets and now getting into online and retail arbitrage
I’ve had a little bit of luck at thrift stores but not much.. and I don’t think I’ve ever really had a good retail arbitrage find. It’s crazy because some people are so good at it
7:00 I would have charged a bit more for these . You left the word "JOKER" out of the title . I'd switch out "Joker" for "Robin". Also "D.C. Comics" for "National Periodicals" .
Oh no! I see too much fodder for $10.00 w/ free shipping in there 17:21 That's what we were trying to stay away from . P.S. You guys are NOT short of merchandise. LOL
Lolol with that last shipping price hike we have upped the lowest item we’d list a little.. a lot of these you’ll see going forward are ones that are listed before we changed our minimum.
Hey clearly you guys are well-established and very well organized, but you need to block out all natural light in your storage area or you risk degrading a bunch of the vintage items that you have sitting in there. Literally everything is at risk from being bleached and faded by sunlight. It doesn't have to be sitting in a direct Sunbeam to get damaged.
@@traviss977 that's not true at all if you mean the sun takes years to damage things. I buy sell and trade vintage toys and games and books for a living, and have done several tests where I've left a GI Joe in the Sun for half an hour and then compared it to another part of the same figure that I kept in a bag in the dark. Believe me when I say it doesn't take forever. It takes a matter of minutes to degrade plastic and fade paint. I've literally tested this stuff
@sequoia1171 I do as well, if you have products damaging quickly, you're more than likely selling cheap China plastic counterfeits. I'm an engineer in plastics. You better get rid of your toxic items
Tell the person that lives in a desolate area who needs to travel to source : even if you have to drive for HOURS : FIND A FLEA MARKET . One single GOOD flea market is better than 50 Goodwills and 100 lame garage sales with baby clothes. Flea Markets tend to be "unfiltered". People tend to make pricing mistakes. And lots of sellers - are "house cleaners and JUNK removal" - and they RENT trucks to HAUL . Many of them DO NOT WANNA go home with the stuff! Many of them- at the end of the day: do "Everything Here: $1.00". TRY to find something at Goodwill for One Dollar . Not happening.
Actually, flea market was something Paul and I were talking about utilizing for our sourcing… we have never been and we have scoped out the Syracuse one.. hopefully that happens some day soon! I’d love a new treasure hunt
Wow ; I'd never make a cash offer just by looking at pictures ! I have to have the stuff right in front of me . Learned that - the HARd way - many years ago.
Yep definitely flirting with danger a bit if you do this- usually nothing is written in stone though and with this deal just a portion was agreed upon and with great upside and little risk. We had a great idea with that chunk of the deal

Literally everything is at risk from being bleached and faded by sunlight. It doesn't have to be sitting in a direct Sunbeam to get damaged.
That would take years
@@traviss977 it would take years to hang up a half dozen curtains? Ok
All this chit chat is quaint but I'm here for an answer to a question and I'm 4 minutes in and you're wasting my time...
