    Funny how so many people think or said that this SUV is a large vehicle and some said is huge, but I was walking today on my streets and I saw this X7 parked right next to where I was walking and I thought it was the X5 at first because I thought it was quiet small, until I saw the X7 badge on the back. I was considering buying the X5 because I watched so many videos from X5s and X7s and it seems like the x7 was kind of big when the guys doing the review were next to them, but now I see that they are the small ones and it makes the car look huge when they are next to them.

    How was the ride with 22” performance run flats vs the 21” all season run flats? Same comfy ride over rough roads or lots different with the great air suspension? I am deciding on my order now. Thanks.

      @@Thatit777 exactly. I’m 6’2, 240lbs and to me it’s perfect. I do a lot of road trips and keeping the third row down gives me a lot of room. With all the seats down, it’s even more impressive. I test drove a Yukon Denali, Tahoe and Escalade before building and those feel like tanks compared to this. We’re happy we made the right choice.

    Nice car but too much of it for my taste. It's more suitable for US then for Europe. Also, diesel engines are more suitable for such a big and heavy vehicle.
    As for the seating, I would prefer a 5 or even a 4-seat setup if available, cause this is a way too expensive and luxurious car to be used as a mini bus. I think BMW was just following market trends here. This is supposed to be an elevated 7 series, right?
    Personally, I'm OK with the boxy design as it suits the intended purpose. I never liked the split hatch door though, for the same reason you mentioned (hard to reach deep inside). Also, a longer, one-piece hatch door, when open, provides better protection in case of rain.
    Great review, BTW, as always, slightly long though.

      this car is totally for the US market. the target audience: say you have 2 or 3 kids, but can't stand looking at a mini van in your driveway. if so, this is a fantastic option. its a great looking Bimmer for how big and practical it is.

    • @philmuda
      @philmuda 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benicia21 if its for 2 or 3 kids why not just a 5 seater x5...it does seems too much for 16 000 more. an x5 totally does the job in north america. in the worst case the x5 comes with a 7 seater option now and even all traction. I suspect the x7 only purpose is to feed the ego of soccer mom and new rich.

    • @benicia21
      @benicia21 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@philmuda absolutely, we got the X7 because it looks fantastic. who doesn’t want their car to look good? but I would argue that a show-off car would be more like the Lamborghini or Bentley or Aston SUV, not a bimmer, they are super common in USA. have you sat in the X5 third row? unbearably tight. the X7 provides a nice amount of more space in 2nd row with captains chairs, and third row is suitable for 5’ 7” and under people. but it is actually much smaller than the other common American family SUV’s, like the Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Suburban. a nice balance.

      Any piggyback on the b58 engine can get you another 40whp. Grab a JB4 or BM3 and gain close to 100 more horses. Not close to M50i numbers but no slouch either and peanuts compared to the price for the V8.
