How To Make An Elevator (The Basics) | UE4 Tutorial

In this video I show you one way of making an elevator in Unreal Engine 4. It's not a full elevator but the basics of how it would move up and down. I plan on making a more advanced elevator in the future.

whenever i reach the top i cant go back down by pressing e but when im in the middle of the transition i can go back down

It goes up but doesn't go down right away for me. The only difference I have is it goes up 800 instead of 300.

the timeline length should be as the time

Does not work, just switches violently to a location (I think it' X 0 and Y 0) and then rises :/

Did you fix the problem? I believe its a problem with the timeline .

I figured out the issue. You likely as I did have you elevator in a random position so it is jumping to 0,0,0 when the animation starts. You either need to set you elevators location to 0,0,0 in the viewport or set the location on the timeline for x,y and z where your elevator platform is located. Hope this helps.

@@HeyShotgun It worked later, you should check the position in x, y, z of the elevator and the sequence you are creating, that's kinda tricky
