There seems to be a couple of issues concerning dropping frame rates with this upload, It seems to be on TH-cam's end as the original video file I uploaded plays perfectly. I hope this gets sorted out by them in the next few hours otherwise I don't know what to do? ... re-upload and hope for the best?
There's a couple of other channels, like "My Mechanics" and "Sarah N' Tuned" But I agree, this is a great restoration channel, and I've been subscribed for years now. lol
@ I’m just a few steps behind you with my 1987 FZR1000 restoration. I had some really disappointing news on the pistons, head and valves but I’ve got a great machine shop helping out. I can’t wait to hear my engine fire up again…your enthusiasm and excitement are both contagious!!! I can’t wait to get that feeling again. Thanks so much for all the work you put into this channel.
This is what i love about your projects. You keep them as OEM as possible, and any upgrade you do, is tasteful and subtle. Well done, it looks amazing.
Hello! This is an exceptional restoration where the vehicle is better than when it left the factory! A colossal work of mechanics, bodywork, upholstery! I watched all the episodes of this Honda CRX You are exceptional! Well done and thank you again!
We are very lucky to live in a world where we have people as gifted and as passionate as you are. TH-cam is a better place with you in it. Thank you so much for the continued extremely high-quality content and wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Best wishes from Bournemouth Mark
There really aren't enough superlatives to cover your attention to detail, patience, skills and down right hard work you put into every project. You sir are a King amongst men. I doff my cap to you.
It isn't boredom watching the wiring loom work, it's empathetic frustration. The headers and exhaust produce a sound that will make you forget it's not a V-Tec.
What a moment firing up the engine! I think parents get the same feeling when their baby is born, hearing that first cry. Thank you once again for a wonderful video. I read in the newspaper yesterday that Nissan and Honda are having talks on partnering up.
This video was awesome as always. I think my favorite part was your expression when you had started it for the first time. That joy can be shared with many who have felt that experience themselves. As always your attention to detail cannot be surpassed. Well done and it sounds tough. What a difference the panels make. I am looking forward to the next video
Between you and my mechanics I've finally found two human beans who understand doing a job properly and not passing your problems onto the next poor sod
Nothing like driving a manual transmission with the gear shifter on the left side! I'm a Yank, by the way. I did that once back in 1997 when in Newcastle for a business trip. I'm glad I survived and didn't hurt anyone else!
Another brilliant video. Quality filming, quality restoration and always interesting. Best channel on you tube. You deserve a knighthood for services to restoration and recycling!! 👍👍
Superb restoration! Love these models, I had a fair share of Civic and CRX of this era. Best one was a ‘90 Civic vtec EE9. I can still feel and hear all the switches, handles, gears, pedals etc. many years later. Wouldn’t mind to have one at some point again.
Well done another fantastic restoration job from the best you tube channel you and citrohelo the best restoration cars and bikes absolutely brilliant 😮
Another brilliant episode. The engine sounded sweet. Those rear plastic panels came out looking great. She’s coming together nicely now. Well done Big man.👍🏻
What a BEAUTIFUL thing, a CRX in its original form. I just love it! And may I compliment you on a job extremely well done. That thing is going to be a great joy to drive !!! I'm so jealous.
É muito legal poder restaurar carro antigos e dar uma nova vida a eles, eles realmente são mais bonitos que os novos e com seus estilos únicos e clássico, belo trabalho e empenho nesse seu projeto.
this is so satisfying watching every video, seeing the entire process. I'm not going to lie, I'm going to be sad and happy when this is completed. You sir are awesome and thank you for allowing us to go through this journey with you.
What a masterpiece restoration, the knowlege ,the précision and the patience on doing every steps of this icône japanese fun car.Thank you for sharing those wobderfull moments whit US.
My mind just went back to 2001 when all you would hear was Honda's running around town sounding like that. Made me cringe, lol. But it reflects nothing on what you built! Love this whole build!
Haha I know as soon as i heard it fire up and rev like that I couldn't help but laugh and think of the old days lol I think i may modify the exhaust a bit just to tone it down a bit lol
Maestro, there is only "a" reason to reuse the condenser unit cuz "there is nothing wrong with it" you always reuse if it is all good maybe you make it better but you dont toss stuff out just cuz you can. Never have to worry about you doing product plugins for crap.. Stay authentic & true mate you are awesome :)...
Fantastic work, when ever i see paint correction/sanding taking place it seems so brutal, i would be petrified of the making a comlete mess of it. Really enjoy watching your videos and the style of them, excellent.
Thank you so much, paint correction on a car ive not painted myself i find scary but doing it on my own paintwork I find quite relaxing as I know exactly how thick the paint is lol Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Merry Xmas to Mr RRC and Family and thanks for keeping me entertained with all your terrific vids. I hope Santa delivers all the tools and parts you need.
Incredible amount of work! I know you really didn't show much of it, but that wiring conversion/retro-fit must have been a real PITA. Major props on your success with that! The little CRX is really coming back into its own now and looking great. Looking forward to the next episode!
37:58 Did you get that light blue electrical plug on the bottom right of the cluster (from this perspective) plugged-in off-camera? Or was that what you meant by making sure the cluster worked at the end?
well done! it's always about the details and OEM is so difficult to find. we pay and we wait hoping for the best haaa. So reviving what was already made well is amazing.
The tweezers on the cooling fins trick I learned from your STI restoration video. I did the same to the intercooler on my 16 STI. Also, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE FIRST CRANK! LETS GOOOO
It is coming together so well! It's going to be great to see this out on the road again. I always loved the CR-X and so glad you have spent such great detail restoring it:)
Wonderful job yet again- regret not buying a silver F plate in 1993. Bought an XR2 instead- regretted it ever since. The company I work for are Japanese and we supplied Honda for years - the colour of the interior is NH178L black and NR167L grey - 😂 etched in my mind for 30 years ! Loving this and especially the manual conversion and 1.6i motor! Gotta say I was envious of your NC30 ( had one in 1993/94) and this is another one where I’m slapping myself. Cracking work - have a Merry Xmas! Enjoying this thoroughly!
Another fantastic update, thoroughly enjoyed following this project as it's the first time I've caught one from start to (almost!) beginning! A real eye opener and has provided me with plenty of food for thought when I think about doing my own type of project... I think I'll stick to the motorbike that is desperately waiting for my attention in the garage! Looking forward to the final episode of this CRX, it sounds and looks a cracker.
Thank you so much I'm really glad to hear that you've been enjoying the series :) Yeah I love restoring cars but bikes are much more fun to restore theres less parts haha
I've noticed that too, I've pinned a post just to let people know. the original footage I uploaded is fine so must be on TH-cam end I hope it gets sorted soon. :(
After a long wait a episode of 50 minutes. Great to watch (I enjoy every minute of it) and worth the wait. Especially the first start up is always a relieve. (For you too I see 😉) Oh yes ... get well soon.
After all the videos I have been watching, you have bought back the CR-X back to life a Bloody good job mate it runs perfect. You will be looking forward to taking it for a drive when it's all completed, greetings from Qld Australia 🦘
27:44 - If anyone ever writes a book about "Restoring Modern Automobiles", there should be four or five chapters concerning techniques to revive all these older types of plastics. The bumper covers on my '84 2nd Gen Prelude are as gray as my hair. Your solution looks pretty good!
Fantastic, just fantastic! Can I make a suggestion? Bilt Hamber's cavity wax is really good sprayed on the metal surfaces behind the bumpers and helps keep the fixings in these places honest. Such a lovely little thing though, bet you are very proud of this one!

I thought it was jumping slightly
@@RRCRestoration Yeah, it’s a bit stuttering, but still watchable. Still enjoyed it. Thanks, buddy!
It makes a visual style that is not disturbing. Don't worry about it
@@MTY_garage Yup, I wouldn't worry about it. If you do reupload it, I will gladly rewatch it!
So it wasn't just my semi-sh***y internet.
Still the best restoration channel on TH-cam. Always quality work with no bs
Agreed
My favorite fake restoration nonsense is when they have to clean "rust" off of wood.
There's a couple of other channels, like "My Mechanics" and "Sarah N' Tuned" But I agree, this is a great restoration channel, and I've been subscribed for years now. lol
15:40 I think the whole world was cheering!!! Great job! She sounds purrrrfect!
Love it! :)

@@RRCRestoration You do know they make radiator fin brushes that straighten the fins right? lol...
The exhaust note is spot on btw
Ya beauty indeed😂
Best channel around.
Most attention to detail, nothing short of genius, and no BS. Thank you for letting us watch!

Love seeing a classic Japanese car going back on the road. Nice quality restoration as per usual man!
A perfect end to the week to start the holiday break!
All the best for Xmas and the new year! Hope the channel goes from strength to strength for you!

What a Hell of a job! I'm enjoying watching all of this. You , sir, have a LOT of patience!
素晴らしい仕事です。ホンダを愛してくれてありがとう。
I remember when the CRX was common to see on the road. I miss them.
You sir, are a genius. I'd pay to spend a day in your company, and dream about spending half as much time tidying my MX5 😊

I'd love to see the MOT tester going over this. I bet they'd take a couple of hours just gawking at it.
What a great series.
I don't always watch automotive restorations but when I do it's always RRC!
What an epic build mate! Well done and thank you!
Props on the wiring harness…what a job💪
Beautifully done. Those interior components are in remarkable condition for their age. Honda quality.
Between you and my mechanics I've finally found two human beans who understand doing a job properly and not passing your problems onto the next poor sod
The restoration God has gifted us with another divine video from the heavens, thank you O' Mighty One. 🙏

Thanks RRC for new video... Fantastic ...
No problem, Thanks for watching :)
I can't imagine the satisfaction gained, after all the hard work refurbishing each part, re-assembling the whole thing. Great job!
It certainly is a satisfying process, there are a few jobs i wont ever repeat though like stripping the paint and underseal off of the shell manually.
It is a pleasure to watch you working... thank you very much.
Honestly, will 2025 be the 1M, Gold Plaque in the garage over the tool rack, subscriber milestone???? God damned better be......
Now that would be nice :)
Excellent progress with the Honda. Dedication and attention to detail are your hallmarks on the channel. Brilliant viewing. Keep it up!
So great to see this CRX running and almost complete. This has been a phenomenal series.
Another brilliant video. Quality filming, quality restoration and always interesting. Best channel on you tube. You deserve a knighthood for services to restoration and recycling!! 👍👍
I want to buy this car from you so bad. My first car was a 1989 CRX Si. So many memories. I should have kept mine forever!

Wonderful restoration, something we all aspire to. On the exhaust down pipe bolts I might have used some copper antiseize.
毎回素晴らしいレストアを見せてくれありがとうございます。完成まで待ち遠しいです。貴殿また才能あるスタッフに感謝します。

Dude. Amazing attention to detail. Love what you’ve done with the interior. Can’t wait to see the finished car…TOP JOB…👍

excellent work mate! this is my favourite childhood car and something i plan on doing in retirement. great hobby
37:58 Did you get that light blue electrical plug on the bottom right of the cluster (from this perspective) plugged-in off-camera? Or was that what you meant by making sure the cluster worked at the end?
That back seat looks like it was nothing more than a pillow! Great work RRC! I am truly jealous I don't have this car in my garage!
That weirded me out.. thought all CR-X models were two-seat only..
Now seeing that some markets had the 2+2 feature.
well done! it's always about the details and OEM is so difficult to find. we pay and we wait hoping for the best haaa. So reviving what was already made well is amazing.
If that was genuinely the first turnover after all that wiring then totally amazing and I can tell why you were so obviously chuffed! Fine fine work.

Power steering?!? Luxury! In my day my '85 CRX-Si didn't have that!
I cant even remember the last time i drove something with no power steering... Oh i tell a lie It was a mk2 escort
Very fine work, a high level of restoration. Best regards from Picardie, France
I was literally typing in that you needed to straighten the rad fins….then you did 😂 ! Love your craftsmanship. And OCD 👍
Looking so fresh and clean! Congrats on the start up!

Loved the polishing at the end 😅 can’t wait for more
Keep up the great work. I love this series as I as well had a crx when I was younger and I loved the car.
First time commenting, but following closely since the beginning! Beautiful work man. Such a pure art form. Thank you for your efforts. Cheers!
