I always say if Miku were an American teenager in high school. She would be head cheerleader, class president, and voted most likely to succeed.

Yay, random tangents! I've seen the documentaries before (several times). I just enjoy the feeling that I'm watching them with a friend who's into Band-Maid as much as I am!
I have been waiting for you to start this part of the documentaries for a while. Congratulations on this. A very, very good reaction to it. BTW I noticed your sweat shirt showing Salt Lake City. This is where I first saw Band Maid live last summer. What a concert. I was absolutely blown away seeing them live. There is nothing that can prepare you for such a performance.. I feel I owe Miku so much because she has brought so much joy into my life through Band Maid. It was inspiring seeing how she never quits what she starts out to do. None of them do either. They only get better. I loved this video and am looking forward to the next one. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

19:52 This audition announcement made some people wonder if Band-Maid was actually a corporate-created band.
In last year's radio interview, Miku revealed the behind the scene story about the audition. According to Miku, nobody applied for the audition (I don't know if she meant literally nobody applied or no qualified applicants. Anyway, Miku said "Nobody gathered for the audition".) . Therefore, Miku and the manager started looking for potential members on the internet, and they found Kanami! The rest is history as we all know.

If you are planning on looking for some more obscure songs from Band Maid that don't have official videos, I would suggest checking out P in D's channel, he has an extensive photo collection of the band and all of the members and he does a lot of hard work in creating photo collage videos that are in synchronization with the music. You might contact him to be sure it is okay for you to react to his videos, but I don't think he will mind, he is a really great person. Great reaction. As a long-time fan of Band-Maid (discovered them in 2015) it's nice to relive that discovery through others now. I highly recommend their Music Gold Rush interview if you can find it. It was used in this video. There was TH-cam upload of it with a really good translation, but the channel seems to have disappeared. There's an older translation on TH-cam that's still up, but it's pretty inaccurate. The interview is form about 2016 iirc, so when they're in character, Saiki comes across as a bit cold towards Miku, but that's just an act ( they're all very close in real life).
Another fun video is "The roots of Band-Maid. Miku's hometown Kumamoto) on Ice Bear's TH-cam channel. He has a few other Band-Maid videos you may enjoy, too.

A woman who had worked in a maid-cafe in Japan, came to Davis, California, and opened a maid-cafe-themed crepe restaurant where the servers wore Victorian-looking maid outfits that were very non-sexy (non-revealing). Nonetheless, some women's libbers from the university came and convinced her that the maid-theme was offensive to American women and so she dropped the maid-theme and had to close down shortly thereafter due to loss of customers. In this way, women's lib ruined a woman-owned business with their lack of appreciation of Japanese culture.
Thats so sad, people should be more open minded. Seriously people like them makes it hard to bring great things out in the world

Saiki: "It's a brothel."
Miku: "It wasn't when I worked there Po."

Band-Maid's first performance with Saiki was opening for Silent Siren. Interesting. Akane and Saiki were dancing to Silent Siren's "Esper" in one video -- and Misa is good friends with the bassist from Silent Siren. They have more than one connection with that band. Silent Siren are a decent J-pop/rock band, lighter than Band-Maid.
Miku is the strategic genius in the band. She is an outstanding poker player -- someone you want on your side when negotiating with management.
I agree with you totally about languages. I have listened to songs in French, german, Italian, Latin. Why not Japanese? Japanese lends itself well to singing.

Sofi, you need to react to Band Maid's "After Life", the official music video. It is filmed as a maid cafe incident. I wonder what incident incited Miku to use a maid cafe in the video.
And the opening scene was shot at the @Home Café where Miku used to work too!
