I use a Kwikset electronic deadbolt for my Airbnb. The battery does last 2 months with frequent use. The Schlage lock doesn't have wifi so it's not as great for Airbnb but probably best for long term rentals.
I know this was posted one year ago, but one concern of mine for the kwikset would be to have to rely on WiFi. We don’t provide the WiFi for our rental, so maybe the Schlage would’ve a better choice for me.
Love the Landloard product reviews. I have been looking for this kind of information for the longest time. This is awesome, looking forward for more reviews. My PM won't try neither one of these brands due to bad experiences (different brand) in some of the properties that she manage. Tenants calling her at 1am complaining that the code didn't work. I have the Kwikset smartkey installed. Is LPV flooring going to be included in the review list? Great information. Thanks!
It looks like both of these products are deadbolts. I have a keyed deadbolt and a keyed door knob. What do you do about the door knob when you install one of these deadbolts? Do you put in a non-lockable door knob, do you leave the keyed door knob or is there an additional electronic door knob that you install with the same code as the deadbolt? Thanks for all the info you guys provide. 😀
I’m interested in flooring pls. Recommend durable flooring, materials and labor cost. What LVP material is recommended and cost. Labor cost to install lvp. What are the recommendations for installing lvp on current tiles floor?
Thanks for the info guys. Do you feel any different about using these in an area with short walkways leading to the door? As in condos or apartments. Not sure if I am overthinking it but I don't like the idea of people seeing it, walking up, and trying to punch in some random numbers.
I need to open TWO locks at my condo, main front door, and actual door to my unit. The main front door can be opened with my iphone if the dial code of my unit is activated. So is there a lock that can activate my main front door code and also my actual door to my unit???
Any update on this? I have the same condition@@OneRentalataTime - seems like it should go on only the the main door and just remove the security door or switch the security to a passage hardware... that or on both, which is just added cost
@@OneRentalataTime Thank you good sir. Love your channel's name to. I have been going back and forth with family on this, invluding my wife. They all tell me the lock connects to your phone, and you don't need a network yadi yadi yaw.. and I tried to explain that to them and they think the lock has a built in network, or it works off BT (33 feet not 1600 miles FFS) but I am wrong and don't know what I am talking about. I used my Trager as an example, I can control the it from the phone BUT it needs to be connected. New Sub BTW

Loved this! Keep the product reviews coming and any landlord hacks you would be willing to share.
Will do
Sounds like a plan.
I was just looking at these types of locks ( little late to the game). Thank you!
Awesome
@@OneRentalataTime Matt's coded lock is no longer available on Amazon. Would you be able to ask him what would be the new version of that lock?
These product reviews are fantastic! Keep them coming. I would like to hear Matt’s product review on doorloop
Thank you

Yes. Wi-Fi needs would change my lock too.

Ur in charge. Tell him to pick one of those. No issues in 5 years for me. Sounds like he's lazy. Maybe.
Thank you
LVP reviews is a great idea
We need an updated/follow up video for this product. Do they still use their product or have they changed.
Matt Yes, Dion No
keep em coming!
Fun
Thank you 😀
Out of state long term rental here, what should I use?
Will ask them

Would be easier to lock in a door or break a window than to enter the right number.

Can I do this remotely

Suggest the august WiFi smart lock instead
Thank you
Thank you
No thanks.
Dion, have you had any problem with the numbers wearing off on the physical buttons?
Go great question
I haven’t. Even at our schools where we have a lot of staff using them.
That is an issue with cheaper locks for sure
My units have security door than the front door, basically two entry doors. Would you only put this on the front security door on one on each door?
I will ask

or the key fob keeps failing and i have to call maintenance over and over.
Ouch
How does the lock work if my rentsl is in another state, no wifi or power?
Badly would be my guess
