What a great video. We are coming to Texas in 8 weeks and we were thinking of visiting Lockhart, now thanks to your video we are definitely visiting Lockhart. The food looked great and you gave us some great info on the sites. Thanks Don.
What an incredible journey through Lockhart's BBQ history! Your insights were fascinating. Can't wait to try the mouth-watering BBQ at these places myself!
Awesome video! The barbecue food looks absolutely mouthwatering. I want to try that delicious BBQ too. Thanks for sharing your fantastic day filled with tasty food!
Here come the best foodie😀 The food look so tempting. Texas has some amazing BBQ would love to try them someday, while the dessert is always my favorite part.
Born and raised here and eat at all locations often with the family but when I'm by myself I find myself in the drive thru at Chisholm Trail BBQ ordering their smoked ham sandwich on homemade wheat bread, a side of cucumber salad and a large sweet tea
That’s pretty cool that the Lockhart got named the place of BBQ in Texas. Omg that piece of meat is huge! I would be eating on that for days! And yes regardless of the way you say pecan, it still goes down the same way!
Ok so the mistake I made was watching this while hungry!! No lie my stomach started growling and mouth watering while watching. The smoked fajitas looked do good. Mac and cheese and peach cobbler yes please!!! And that beef rib at the end 😳...All looked so good!!! Yummy 😊🤤
This looks like the BBQ capital! You sure have a hard time as a youtuber, always trying out the best food! I do like a bit of history! Dessert early, sounds good! 😋
You missed Barbs BQ it’s the new hot spot a block behind Smittys. It is in Texas Monthly and winning awards! The 25 year old girl that runs it was the pitmaster at Goldees in Ft Worth.
All the old standard BbQ places are really not that good anymore even in Lockhart. They rest on the laurels of their past reputation and don’t produce as premium of product as the new school places. Kruez and Smittys bbq are a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 compared to someplace like Franklin or the other new guys.
While I admit I'm partial to some of my spots in Austin over Lockhart nowadays, for those that aren't from Texas originally like myself. I feel like Lockhart is a great introduction. Also the big boys in Austin: Franklins, Terry's, LA Barbecue, etc...are starting to have longer and longer lines.
If you love Texas BBQ or BBQ in general then this video will be for y'all!!!

I'm happy you guys enjoyed the video. Definitely enjoy all the BBQ.
I love the old-timey feel of the town, and I love a good BBQ!
Sooo good

It's so worth it.
Awesome video! The barbecue food looks absolutely mouthwatering. I want to try that delicious BBQ too. Thanks for sharing your fantastic day filled with tasty food!
Glad you liked it. All those spots were absolutely delicious. We had leftovers for days 😂
The girls want to head to Texas right now to get some of that BBQ!
Lol it'd be worth the trip.
I love a good Texas BBQ. This looks delicious. The smoked Turkey at Smitty's meat market sounds great. The Black's Barbecue Beef rib looks so good.
Oh that beef rib was to die for
Your videos just make me hungry. The food at all the places look delicious. My take will be the last one the Blacks Barbecue. Yummy......
That's my favorite as well
Here come the best foodie😀 The food look so tempting. Texas has some amazing BBQ would love to try them someday, while the dessert is always my favorite part.
Lol thanks for that title.
yet again, such delicious food and unbelievably mouthwatering one after the next! I really have to make sure I eat before I watch your videos!

Thanks for joining the journey. Texas BBQ is my favorite style of BBQ
Yum Texas Barbecue. Sounds good to me. Great options.

@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon No never have

Chisholm Trail was the best service. Love that place.

You'd be surprised how much people fight over the correct pronunciation 😂
Another great video - and now I’m hungry.
That place looks bomb, love barbecue food
It's so good!!

It was indeed a delicious video to create 😂
Good to see the hub for BBQ. I also liked your thumbnail, quite catchy. I think one should definitely try it out, looks so delicious.
Indeed it was. Thanks for watching
NICE LOCATION! GREAT VIDEO ABOUT BBQ. I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT TEXAS ONE DAY, BUT IT'S SO FAR FROM WHERE I LIVE...
Put it on your map and you'll find your way there someday.
Those sausages 😋 wow
Bbq chicken looks amazing I love the skin too.
I need to visit Texas that bbq joint beef rib is massive 🤣
Blacks is a delicious spot for sure.
I Love the BBQ food and it was mouthwatering. I am sure you had a great taste to relish.
I had a blast that's for sure.
This looks like the BBQ capital!
You sure have a hard time as a youtuber, always trying out the best food!
I do like a bit of history!
Dessert early, sounds good! 😋
It's a terrible life I lead 😉. In the real, staying in shape ain't the easiest 😂. Gotta keep up my hiking just to break even on the weight sometimes.
Enjoyed it again.
Thanks
FYI, Kruez is pronounced "Krites." It's German. (I only know this bc I grew up there and all the locals knows the pronunciation.)
Ah I got it wrong. Thanks for the correct pronunciation.
My food envy is through the roof! I need a trip to Texas pronto
Lol it would be so worth it
its just meat, meat, more meat and then some WOW! You need to go back to Lockhart for the salad tour next ;)
That is something that doesn't exist in that town 😂
You missed Barbs BQ it’s the new hot spot a block behind Smittys. It is in Texas Monthly and winning awards! The 25 year old girl that runs it was the pitmaster at Goldees in Ft Worth.
I'll mark it down for next time
You’ve gotta try BOTH Black’s as well as Barb’s.
I missed Barbs on that trip. My uncle loves that place though so I'll be back.
Charles "Cruz" lmao at the first place.
German not Spanish in the way you say it.
For some reason, it doesn't matter what language I try, I tend to go Spanish in the accent. I don't know why.
its a german name sounds like krites
Yeah my Germans not the best 😂

It’s pronounced krites
Is that "I" as in "I"T. Or "I" in "it"
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon Long "i". Rhymes with "nights".
Pronounced croitz
You're not the first to get on me about that 😂
Just my opinion because im from the area, Lockhart has the most overrated bbq in Texas. Every other town around definitely has better bbq.
Please let me know some spots outside Lockhart. I'd love to visit when I get back to Texas
