Most doctors told me that STD test should not even include herpes! Please if you test positive for type 1 and 2 and don’t have outbreak don’t worry you go about your business as normal. The first OB ( outbreak is the most painful over time it gets less painful and they become less frequent) I highly recommend to abstain from sex during an OB as it will only do more harm to yourself
On my first outbreak of Genital Herpes...my penis had painful and bleeding blisters and urinating was painful too...using the shower was a problem because the water gets in contact with the skin. Also, doing a number 2 was a major nuisance...but after taking Herpesin/acyclovir tablets for a week or 2 weeks, the blisters and the pain all disappeared. I had my first outbreak 10 years ago. I have not had sex for 10 years (because I am not the type of person that likes casual sex/one night stands) so so far I have not had any outbreaks for 10 years other than that one time 10 years ago.

No only if you performed oral sex with that person while the virus was active could it pass from genital to mouth. You probably got it from kissing even if they didn’t have a cold store visible as the virus sheds

If you didn't have sex when she had an outbreak, and she was on antivirals, the chances of transmission are less than 1%. However, please note that the antibodies can take some time to develop. It could be a few weeks to a few months.
My gynaecologist told me that herpes is not detected in blood. If she's on antivirals, and did not have an outbreak at the time, the chances are very minimal. Condoms don't really protect against herpes, unless the condom covers the whole area of an outbreak, otherwise condoms have others function

If you have an outbreak, it's very likely you will transmit. If you don't you can still transmit it to someone via viral sheding. It happens and we don't know when it happens, but that's how most of the time virus is transmitted.

Condoms do very little in terms of preventing herpes, unless they cover the whole are where one gets outbreaks. Antivirals are, according to FDA, the most proven way not to transmit, but there is always a chance. If you use protection, dental dams, condoms & even layers of clothes, for example, so there's no direct transmission, that's probably the best option, if you are up for that. Hi, not sure why the doctor prescribed ampicillin or hpv vaccine, to be honest, if the symptoms are only are only herpes related. Herpes is not something to worry about. It's an annoying skin rash and it won't affect your life greatly. It's a stigma that people fear, the virus has very little impact as it is. As far as other prescriptions, talk to your doctor why has he prescribed them. The drug he prescribed is not typically prescribed for herpes and you take the HPV vaccine if you decide to do so.

Hi, if you actually tested negative on a blood test, that doesn't really mean you don't have it. If you are experiencing symptoms, you can ask for a swab test which is more accurate - if you still have an active lesions. As for blood test, it would take a few weeks to a few months if you did indeed get it, to show positive result. You can do whatever you feel comfortable with - you and your partner.

There is no such thing as genital or oral. It is HSV1 or HSV2. Either can show up in both places. Almost everyone has HSV1, and a lot of people have HSV2. You can kiss her wherever, just be educated and safe. You probably already have had it from when you were a kid anyhow (HSV1).

First outbreak is very painful. After that the outbreaks are less painful and last shorter(in my case, ~ once a year).

Practically everyone has oral herpes. More than 70% of the population. Even if you have it, you’ll be fine.
I was with a partner for 6 months we just broke up last week, she has herpes, we used condoms for most of our relationship and she took her meds regularly I didn’t use protection for a little over a month, we maybe had sex once a week on average because we were long distance and for this last month we used protection, we never had sex during an outbreak -I don’t believe she ever had an outbreak while we were together and for the last month we were together we always used condoms, I’m getting tested tomorrow and I’m still terrified, I know I could technically be asymptomatic but I guess I’m just trying to get some type of assurance that I’m probably going to be negative because I’m stressed out.
If you didn't have sex when she had an outbreak, and she was on antivirals, the chances of transmission are less than 1%.
However, please note that the antibodies can take some time to develop. It could be a few weeks to a few months.

I still remember getting a test done , but the tests were negative , and gynaecologist even said the sores or the pain may also be due to condom or lack of proper lubricantion. Actually there have supposedly been studies to prove that people with any HSV have a better immune system than those who don't have it, as our immune systems are already on high-alert so apparently just generally do a quicker & better job at attacking viruses & bacteria.

I had 2 outbreaks within the 1st month. Then nothing for almost 5 years. Besides how you think about it, the physical is less than a common rash.

It's really just a bunch of baloney that is needlessly making people hate each other and question their partners for no reason. Herpes is just a skin irritation from something either consumed, or from an external irritant. Pay close attention to the number of people who have never gotten it from their own partners after years of unprotected sex. And just figure out what irritates, inflames, or triggers yours, that's the real cause.

It would be silly to let someone go just because they have herpes. If you want to take it easy, and see if this is the person whom you want to spend time with and be in a relationship, take it easy. You don't need to rush and decide today or next week. See where it goes. Many people accept their partners with herpes. You can take precautions to protect you against herpes, and it's up to you to discuss that if you ever come to that point of being intiamte.

But yeah... pay attention to how many don't seem to get it even after being with their herpes positive partner for years! If she's on antivirals, and did not have an outbreak at the time, the chances are very minimal. Condoms don't really protect against herpes, unless the condom covers the whole area of an outbreak, otherwise condoms have others function

And what to do when herpes leaves wounds in place of blisters all arround anus. It's terribly painful and burns. Going on nr 2 to toilet is torture.
Try fasting for a day or two, and/or go on a carnivore, no sugar, no carb diet or low oxalate diet for a few days and see what happens. A lady had reversed all her aggressive herpes symptoms with carnivore. I think I got rid of most of mine with intermittent fasting, and reduced sugar consumption.
If slow to heal, eat more Vit A rich foods, and/or try manuka honey. I had a non healing wound that finally started healing after using manuka honey topically.

You can pass it to someone's genitals, if they come in contact with, yes. You can cover the area where you have herpes. When there's a barrier, so there's no skin to skin contact, you're fine.

Not necessarily. It could mean you're rarely shedding, or having outbreaks and that's good. It could also mean he actually has herpes, but not showing symptoms.

If you have an outbreak, it's very likely you will transmit. If you don't you can still transmit it to someone via viral sheding. It happens and we don't know when it happens, but that's how most of the time virus is transmitted.

Go talk to your doctor about this. You can take medication to shorten your outbreak and control viral shedding the rest of the time.

Condoms do very little in terms of preventing herpes, unless they cover the whole are where one gets outbreaks. Antivirals are, according to FDA, the most proven way not to transmit, but there is always a chance. If you use protection, dental dams, condoms & even layers of clothes, for example, so there's no direct transmission, that's probably the best option, if you are up for that. As a couple you have to decide what you want to do. Androgprahis are a supplement a non-HSV partner can take, as it can prevent viral entry. Herpes is not something to worry about. It's an annoying skin rash and it won't affect your life greatly. It's a stigma that people fear, the virus has very little impact as it is.
As far as other prescriptions, talk to your doctor why has he prescribed them. The drug he prescribed is not typically prescribed for herpes and you take the HPV vaccine if you decide to do so.

Hi, if you actually tested negative on a blood test, that doesn't really mean you don't have it. If you are experiencing symptoms, you can ask for a swab test which is more accurate - if you still have an active lesions.
As for blood test, it would take a few weeks to a few months if you did indeed get it, to show positive result.
You can do whatever you feel comfortable with - you and your partner.

Yes, it's transmitted with skin to skin contact.
There is no such thing as genital or oral. It is HSV1 or HSV2. Either can show up in both places. Almost everyone has HSV1, and a lot of people have HSV2. You can kiss her wherever, just be educated and safe. You probably already have had it from when you were a kid anyhow (HSV1).
