Well most teachers only hear their last name from the start to the end of the day. I had one teacher (Jeff Ludwig) who hated his first and last name so we just called him Lud or Mr. Lud. The one time I called him Mr. Ludwig he looked at me and goes, "Don't ask for advice on your tattoo art ever again." I was flabbergasted cause dude was like a father to me because we connected on that level through our shared love of art. I was just like, "I'm sorry, Lud." Outside of home they probably don't much, I hear my first name all day everyday from my family, but when I'm with my friends I hear only my nickname which is "boner" have since I was in middle school, I still do at over 30 lol
One day one of my friends while in high-school (we are still friends lol) took me over to his house to play his ps3 and I'm use to my friends introducing me to their parents with no shame about my name haha he was like this is... I was like wait hold up, did you just say my name? 😂 his dad also calls me by my nickname these days lol so do my other friends parents 🤣

I also got introuble once by the school board superintendent for getting called down to the front of an assembly by a war veteran taking questions, because of the "rude outburst" I caused because all of the other 100s of students started screaming my name as if it was my fault they recognized me, and I was called to ask a question, I wasn't the only one, the man was taking questions, but I was the last one haha
