Watching your video made me cry a little, I miss my work a lot, even those little moments where I prepare my lunch, have everything ready in the classroom to receive my children but my favorite part of the day was that peaceful way from my house to school that I enjoyed so much, I was able to live it again through your video, thank you!

You can be a Speech and Language Therapist. You will be able to teach kids with disorders (like leaning disorders, dislexia...) and help the teachers with but you will also be a health professional. Best of both worlds, lol

Love your videos! I am studying education right now! Is it normal to sometimes doubt yourself a little when you are teaching. Sometimes I wonder if I am teaching the right way or when the kid looks uninterested even for a few seconds I feel I am doing it wrong. Any advice on teacher confidence?
Hi! I just finished my first year of teaching and it is completely normal to doubt yourself or feel like you aren't teaching right. Everyone teaches in different ways and you'll be able to find your groove soon! Try to leave feedback for yourself and get into the mindset of "I did my best today and that's okay". You got this!

The thing that stinks about most schools is that you don't get to pick your grade level.. teachers obviously have preferences, but it's mainly where you're needed! Also, the amazing thing about education is there is so many outlets! Just because you start off as an elementary school teacher, doesn't mean you're stuck in that spot for the rest of your life! You would have the ability to get your masters in pretty much anything! You could become an administrator, curriculum coordinator, media specialist, etc. So many options still in the amazing field of education without being tied down and committed for the rest of your life! :)
@@bezamesfin4329 it definitely depends where you teach. I’m in Oklahoma, and my school district is extremely hard to work for. I’m going into my 6th year and I’m already looking into other options besides teaching. I’m burned out, but if your entire heart and soul is in to teaching and doing everything in your power to give your students the success they need, I say go for it! Know that it’s a lot of hard work, but it’s the most rewarding and important job you could choose ❤️

I’m a bit jealous of your day. I have no breaks during the day. I take my students to lunch and recess and when they’re at specials (the only time they’re not with me) I have a meeting. Currently 3-4 times a week. Also, we’re now being forced to do planning after school. It’s an actual “mandated” time written into our (extended) day. Once you include committee meetings and staff meetings, I’m looking at 6 meetings some weeks in a 5 day work week.

So different from Aussie schools. Our school hours tend to be 9am until 3pm. We have two breaks: recess (around 11am) and lunch (around 1pm). Most days, teachers have compulsory meetings after school. Most schools require teachers to stay until at least 5pm and arrive as early as 8am as that is their contracted hours.
We need to appreciate teachers more for what they do and how greatly they impact our lives. Thank you
