If you don’t want want to compete as an open team don’t hire an attorney that goes on every platform saying his clients will compete as open teams. Number one rule always shut up.
Whenever NASCAR has their yearly State of the Series, there’s nothing good that comes from it. Just same stupid BS and defending what hurts their own series and company.
I think the biggest mistake on 23XI/Front Row's end was them saying they had "all the evidence" in their case, because even if you think you do, you very likely don't. The way today's world works, you need to get a hold of EVERYTHING YOU CAN to stay afloat, so basically everything that 23XI was pursuing, including NASCAR opening their books, etc - and heck, even stuff they might not have thought of - is important in at least *some way* to a court case, so it seemed silly to me that they said they had "all the evidence they needed." The denial of this injunction simply reinforces that idea. Granted, I'm not an attorney, but I've seen cases where there wasn't enough evidence to get a proper conviction. All I'm saying is that this doesn't surprise me.
@@JamesM-v7tdog when you own half the tracks in America deny other racing series or prevent other reasons series to race at your tracks the Monopoly accusations no longer become accusations
My thing is: this company (nascar) is owned and ran by one family, and 23XI & FRM are trying to make it into their vision of what it should be. What they need to do is make their own the acing business and take everyone with them, which f they want to go.
@ sure i kinda agree with you but that doesn’t end well. History told us what could happen. Kart/Indy Car. IMO The best thing for Nascar is that the France family sells. Make it a global sport and make bush/xfinity series race only in America. Grow the sport but sadly this will never happen. Thats why the contract says no anti monopoly suit. They know what they have & I bet they will fight tooth and nail to never let it go.
If they wanted to be a charter team, they had a chance to sign the charter…just like everyone else. Just because you want to turn one family’s business into YOUR business doesn’t mean that you can. 7:20 this format makes money, NASCAR is in the money making business…not the who is the best driver business.
Yes Ryan Blaney would still drive like that to get the win. What they don’t like is back in the day, drivers when they got a big lead would not push their cars any more and just hold they 5 second lead from second place to save their cars and the middle of the race and would get boring, with this format forces the leader to keep going as hard as they can to put as many cars a lap down as they can.
Well can't blame Michael Jordan or Denny Hamlin for at least trying and NASCAR doesn't even want to get rid of the playoffs anyway so why even bother anymore at this point.
Yep It's official, Nascar is too far gone, they are on full damage control. May as well abandon ship and let nascar crash into the iceberg than try to beg them to change course. Edit: but in all seriousness, I think nascar themselves are the main thing holding the playoffs back from being removed for good. That and the current tv deal based on this format. As much as we all glamour for nascar to remove the playoffs, what needs to happen first is for the mangement of nascar to be reformed.
That's how the legal system works. It's dumb as hell but the harm has to have already taken place before you have standing to sue. They can't rule on future harm no matter how certain it is to happen
Jet!! nascar is a monopoly 100% the teams are S O L and nascar is eventually going to fall or have to change!!! the playoff format sucks the old system was best!!! they need to quit jeopardizing racing for safety yes keeping drivers safe is great but then say they can't crash cars or fist fight. A sanctioning body opens there sport with a set of rules. If you want to race in that sanctioning body, you have to abide by those rules. Period. NASCAR has always had rules. Teams and drivers raced. NASCAR offered ( OFFERED) a charter system in their rule package that allowed participants the opportunity to be guaranteed a starting position in all races if they joined. That 'offering' was not a mandate. But, the incentive was big enough for teams to want to buy into the 'Charter' system. UNTIL SOMEBODY GOT GREEDY, and wants to get into NASCAR"S now big money. Could Nascar give them 23XI & FRM an ultimatum to sell there charters to other teams? Another question is could Nascar ask Haas Factory to keep 2 or 3 charters unless RFK buys a Charter from SHR & have RWR gets Zane Smith for 1 year until the court hearing ends?
Here's a fun fact for Penske fans. Team Penske is the only team to win the championship in the next Gen car. If one of them wins tomorrow, it will be 🔥

Uh …. The 23/XI and Front Row teams declined to sign a contract to participate as full time. NASCAR is not trying to force them into it.
