@colinwescott5004In my 'top five" songs. I said "f#ck it and finally took up guitar at 16. My extraordinary Mom died, not unexpectedly when I was 16 1/2. I was lucky and had extraordinary older brothers and "crew".I Dr. Booze and Doc Cocaine began their conspiracy to kill me. Hard and fast😂. But guitar sounds and songs like this were "body guards" superior to the Secret Service for sure😅 . Living in N.England I got to see Joe Perry right up close and by luck Eric Clapton still playing "Blackie" about a month after learning the "Blues Scale" . I took lessons and kinda thought I was cool because I knew theory. The instincts on those two MFs taught me young that feel and gut communicates to people most from the strings. But this solo and tone, at 110 mph going to the beach helped my brain stay sane more than May, Beck ...pickem'. Don't get me wrong, all were phenomenal. But God can this guy play. I turn 60 this weekend and I still like to busk after B's, C's and Sox games .Tonight at Fenway I unleashed this song, the studio cut, over my little PA. I shoot the sh#t and watch peeps all the time. Never seen so many Youngins' feet slow down, even stop, heads turning. Never having heard it, their ears accepted, perhaps needed this intense sound just like ours did. Like you imply, they've got some eerie mysterious stuff coming their way, trust and believe, and the guitar here might be a warning sound , a navigational tool😅, or something in the DNA😅! Whatever! I saw about thirty "twenty something's " get punched in the mouth by this solo. A "beating "they accepted . I knew it would happen too. Never understood why this song wasn't a "smash". Sorry to chew up your megabytes😂 but this is.a true story from late August 2024. Keep the faith!
Saw this Winds of Change Tour 1982 with .38 Special opening act at the Worcester Centrum, Mass. During the concert fans were chanting .38 Special during Jefferson Starship onstage. Grace Slick got pissed and started swearing. Paul Kantner and Mickey Thomas quickly moved in to calm her down. At that time, .38 Special was far better onstage than Jefferson Starship that night. Great show w/both bands.

Fuck 38 Special, I came to see Grace Slick ..
Perhaps you can say that one set of drums/ one drummer was never good enough for those fickle fans
Ansley Dunbar!
this is starship at the height with him
@@ChrisFlintmaya Agreed, tip top for sure!
This cameraman is UNCANNY for his utter inability to capture the guitar player during the guitar solo.
thank you. so I'm not the only one
