    Jefferson Starship has a lot of good songs. They don't get the credit they deserve despite their pedigree and their hard rock songs like this one stand up to any band of that time..

      This song got lots of airplay on Detroit rock radio for years after it was released. It was definitely one of their heaviest songs, and that's what we like in this town.

      There are only two kinds of music my friend, good and bad. I watched American Bandstand and Soul Train every Saturday morning and Saturday night wasThe Midnight Special and Don Kirshner's Rock Concert growing up. I'm still loving great music all these years later, it never gets old.

    Craig Chaquico is an absolutely underrated guitarist. This is probably my favorite example of his playing. And good God,that guitar tone!

    Always loved the strong, constant, bass line in this song. It's a rarity in rock music to have the bass nearly carry the tune. A nice change.

    Grace Slick is doing her "Bride of Frankenstein" routine in this video and it works so well!!!! Not just anyone can do it. She has those dangerously, piercing, blue eyes, that are forboding and ominous and on top of that she is drop-dead gorgeous.

      Their 3 best songs, in my opinion. My favorite period of the band, late 70s to early 80s. Their most hard rocking period. After the psychedelic period in the late 60s to early 70s and their soft rock period in the mid 70s and before their commercial pop period in the mid to late 80s

    This is such a great track -- the whole band is firing on all cylinders! Brings me back to a very specific time/place. Used to hear this a lot on KSFX, so I thought it was a pretty big hit, but I just looked it up, and it didn't even crack the top 40 (only got 48 🤔). Don't know why it wasn't bigger, but the band's output from '79 - '81 was some of the best music they put out, IMO (still love Balin's stuff, too).
