Honda tech here, allso recommend people to look at the cables going to the sensors. They are placed very close to where mice would chill, so they chew up everything 😅

Thanks for posting this. I checked the wiring before I went ahead and ordered the part. Sure enough the wire was chewed with little poopies all around. Fixed the repair and It stopped the flashing “D” and I’m sure the code will reset in a day or two. . Not a horrible repair getting in there with tools.

Fantastic - I was able to fix my 2009 CRV with this (and another video). So far so good. Couple of things to note from my project - The air filter housing base was a pain to slide out of the rubber holder on the far left corner. Seems like the trick is to pull it firmly straight up through it (and push it straight down through it during reinstall). I removed the battery too for better access. My crush washer (10mm) was stuck to the transmission housing and needed a couple of knocks from a flat head screwdriver to knock it loose. But other than that, it seemed to have worked so far. I drained the transmission fluid and replaced it with new fluid while I was at this. Drove around at different speeds and still no check engine light. Fingers crossed. Thank you for the video, very helpful.

Great tutorial! Same code came up for me on my 2009 Honda CR-V. I bought the part, followed your steps, cleared the engine light, and it hasn’t come back.
Make sure you have a 22mm deep socket. Most deep socket sets only go up to 19mm so don’t be surprised if you don’t have one in your toolbox.
Great work putting this together! Big help!

    • @scrapdaddysgarage5027

Also the what if the flashing D stops after a stop and restarting car, is it still the 2nd clutch? $75 for DX at shop but if the part I found that is same price than I'd be paying at least $100 more.. only have today to work on it b4 work and holiday

I would try compressed air to blow any debris out of the connector first, lubricant like wd40 is a last resort will make it slippery and difficult to pull off.

Thank you! This cleared the code and stopped the flashing "D" as well. I used the BlueDriver OBD2 tool to pull the codes (worth the $99) which also had two Evap System codes the came up and the BlueDriver also shows most common fixes for each issue. For the Evap codes changing the gas cap was top of the list. I swapped in a new OEM Honda gas cap and those codes cleared as well. Check engine light has been off now for almost a week so I'm confident these changes fixed the issues. *** Other note, recommend noting the exact tool size used in each portion of the job. Besides the noted 22mm deep socket driver used for the pressure switch, it was a 10mm driver for the air cleaner base removal.

@@scrapdaddysgarage5027 When I tried to scan the code when the D wasn't flashing, there was no code and the light didn't clear when I told it to cancel the code. I haven't tried clearing the codes since I fixed it. If it doesn't go away soon, I'll try clearing it again. I know regular CEL codes clear naturally but this seems to be different.

Thanks for sharing. I did it yesterday in my car. Just a little complicated but finally done. No more D blinking.

Great video but putting metal tools and parts on top of battery and or near battery post wether battery connected or not is not a good idea. Be careful you don’t want to ride the lightning!!!

Positive terminal is covered with that plastic cap to prevent situations like that but yes, something to be aware of
