Thank you sir this fixed my noise problem! A tiny bit of advice, I would try and break loose the top bolt before draining just in case you are not able to get the fill hole bolt off.
I would highly recommend to open the Fill Plug first in case you have difficulty getting this plug out. Sometimes these are very difficulty to remove. If you can't get it out and you have already removed the drain plug, to are stranded as you cant refill the diff with new oil. Good Video, Thanks
Nice, thanks. I have to do this on the GF's car. BTW, best way to get fluid back in is to use a garden pressure sprayer. May need to slightly modify it but better than your method. TH-cam videos abound with this method. Garden sprayers are cheap.
*_WHAT IF THE FILL PLUG DIDN'T COME LOOSE?_* How're you going to get the new oil into the diff? Loosen the fill plug first just in case, then the drain plug.
my 2010 got bad grinding noise when half turn, it sounds horrible ,just change the fluid by myself ,even though the old fluid looks not too bad ,(brown ) , the noise goes away instantly !! only a bit effort on lose the bolts , I even used impact wrench , and I didn't jack the car at all, , just squeeze my body in , good life hacks : )
Hello, i got a question. I got the problem that my car is making vibration sounds when im turning the steeringwheel left and right at 5mph. When i'm driving straight i got no Vibration sound. I already changed the differental oil two times that fits to the car model, but not the original Honda oil. Could it be because of that, that the vibration did not disappear?
You should always start from upper cap. Trust me. Once you will meet cap, which you will not unscrew .... And it will be pain) But atleast you will have full diff of fluid. Lol
Very dangerous lifting with jack front end and 2 jack stands rear since loosening with breaker bar could tilt the jacks and fall over. Suggestion, drive onto 2x8x8 foot boards front and back which is enough lift to access & use an old gear oil cap to squeeze the oil in.😄
if its a sharp humming almost winning noise coming from the front right, it may be the alternator .. if changed for an aftermarket one...@@stefanosoderi4152

Always loosen the fill plug first. You don’t want to drain out all the fluid and then not be able to get the fill plug out.
cant believe he didnt say that, but great point. Happened on my lexus, I felt stupid.
Thanks for advice on fill plug before drain, all of you! Appreciate it.

Always open the fill plug first, just in case it does not open

hello. the fwd use separete gear oil for differential. or the fwd only use transmition fluid for trans and diff
Hi.
Thank you for the video.
Can you tell me please what size are the washers and if houbhave the parts number?
Thank you
I think you need to start from the fill plug, not from the drain plug to avoid surprises
I haven’t seen anyone mention it in the comments….. ALWAYS LOOSEN THE FILL PLUG FIRST BEFORE DRAINING.

Is the vibration coming from rear?
@@BrianBalatbat yes, the vibration is coming from the rear.
@user-ed5mt6dc6j you sure what about the front differential?
You must use genuine honda diff fluid.
I did use honda fluid its solved the problem for now 😂@thomasking4136

No
hey thank you, it helped alot!
Awesome, no problem!
My Honda starts a hum at about 25 mph , is that what yours did? I’m thinking fluid change 133,000 miles?

You were sooo lucky that filler plug opened 😅
