Sir I have the Tab s6 lite 2019 should I get this instead?
I want a good tab with Sim card slot and microsd slot, but i also want decent power for saying multitasking multiple apps and not hanging
My S6 lite 2019 still would be usable but it lacks a good processor so it has poorly aged in that aspect
I want to get something like the OnePlus pad which has crazy good performance but it lacks sd card and sim, please mention some alternatives (preferably not Xiaomi)
@@mrwhiteinca 269.99 (128) at best buy right now, amazon has it on sale for 229.99.(128) I just purchased from amazon using my rewards came to 198.99, I call that a decent bargain ❤
The wifi only version of this, does it support full HD streaming of Netflix, Amazon Prime etc?
@@JLK913 yes, why would that make a difference... wifi only means no sim support
finally been waiting a while for a review..
Thank you for your review, I got myself a A9+ (got the 128/8GB) and I am really happy with the performance for a budget Tablet with Dex in 2024, subscribed and like the Video
For sure! I'm about to pick up the 8GB version for myself. Now that it's on sale!
@@AndroidDigestJust bought on for my boyfriend to work on digital drawing and reading. He loves it ✨
Is voice calling feature available in this? I asking about the 5G one...
Great review as always! You're a true professional
Thank you so much, means a lot!
Play at 1.25 speed
Play at whatever speed you want 😂
Wow. It actually plays so much better 🤣
Man.. 1.5x sounds like normal speed.. this guy speaks slow😂
@@DiaSp-ff4kf I don't think it's slow really. I can listen to him at either speed but I can hear him just as clearly at the higher speed. Good video though.
I have an old Samsung tablet from 2017. I think its the A7. Still works. This A9+ looks impressive for my needs. Great review. 👏👏👏👍Just subbed👍
This A9+ uses the same +/-7000 mAh battery as the old A7, it has lower resolution than A7 (even if the display is larger) - I really wanted it to be a good next tablet for me (I, too, own the A7 10.4"), but I'm afraid it is not really that much of an upgrade, apart for the RAM and processor.
@@FlorinUIs there an in-between tablet that's higher than the A series and the Galaxy S tablets? Or some have to buy the older S tablets when they go on sale? I just bought the Galaxy S9 at a discount. It comes today. I like your reviews.👍
@@ChuckDavis360 Definitely an older "flagship" is a better choice. S9 is a very nice tablet, how do you like it so far?
@@ChuckDavis360 As far as I know.. S9 FE is like $400+ Tab & it's med tier Tab (better than A9+ but worse than normal S9)
But S9 FE goes under redar since people will prefer picking Vanilla S7 / S8 which costs the same but have better performance (at least for 2nd hand or deep sales)
@FlorinU I like very much. Its faster and has a better screen than my s7. No complaints. 👌
Love your tablet reviews Zachy
Haha, haven't been called Zachy in awhile, but thank you
Got mine yesterday and am spending time learning.
Enjoy it
Nice video. Been thinking about getting one - time to upgrade. Also, nice hat fam!
Thanks man! This should work for you. And yes it is a good hat
Thanks for reducing conflicts between the brands over in my head. Now I'm damn sure to go with this. I'm from India and there many people does review but they create confusions over there. Thanks for a good and balanced review .😊 ❤
Just picked one up for £168. 😮 Thanks for confirming that it was a great idea 😊 Subbed!
Great price. Really good
I have an old Galaxy S, after 10+ years, it finally stopped charging. So it's time to upgrade, thanks for the review.
10+ years of service? that poor phone.. it's must died from old age xD
Samsung built to last compared to chinese phones.. even against Apple phones.. at least if U don't abuse them
@@Jack_Sparrow131 I retired the old Samsung Galaxy S Tablet. I received my new Samsung Galaxy A9+ that he reviewed in this video, and love it. Great review and great tablet.
@@DobieDad Cool man.. I also bought A9+ before a 2 days.. it's better than expected in everything
The only 1 negetive about it.. is viewing angles.. any slight of bad angle will result to not clear image
Bu hey.. it's budget Samsung.. Budget Tabs are always have some con or 2 I guess
Wow, hopefully you enjoy this!
Very good review, I'm replacing my old A7 (still working very well) but after your review I'm buying this one, Thanks
Enjoy it! I think you will like it
I had bought the tab s6 lite during Black Friday but returned it because of its performance. Here this one comes out with better specs and practically the same price. Im glad I did what I did, now I want this.
This is a pretty good review, I just recommended this tablet to someone who doesn't really have the money for the flagship series at the moment which later on they will buy when they do
It's a good move for that
Great review! I plan on installing it in my car for Google maps and other apps such as TH-cam tv.
Hope it works great for you
Awesome, awesome, detailed review. Love it!
I only wish we could have got some case recommendations.
Again, awesome review.
amazon has the cases heavily discounted. I bought a leather like book cover in black for $8 and it is premium, very nice for the price. They have a MOKO one for $4. The big box stores are probably $40!
Those will come eventually. I plan to do a case video! It will come, among the other several videos I have coming up. I'm going back to the Tab S9 Plus and some other things, but I'll get to a case video!
@@Jon-ho5tkenquanto isso aqui no Brasil eles estão super caros!!
As vezes entro na Amazon dos EUA e fico só invejando os produtos por alguns dólares
the one i bought came with a protective case in the box
Bought A9+ with 8/128 yesterday ($200 deal).. and let me go straight to the point (some things did not mentioned in this video)
Pros: 90Hz mode / SD 695 (smooth) / Lightweight / Loud 4 Speakers / Efficient Medium Battery thanks to SD695 / DEX mode / Long OS Support
Cons: Viewing Angles is not that good / Battery charge speed is meh (15w) / no Vivid Mode (Screen colors are weak)
Value: it's defenitely there.. especially for avg users (not heavy gamers).. it's will do everything U want, but nothing fancy
Get the 8GB RAM model.. 4GB won't hold in 2024.. A9/9+ model will have support for 3 years.. The 4GB model will be very slow with time
Personally I only recommend this model if U can get a small discount on it.. at full price.. it's value is ok at best
Note: A9+ still has better value than S9 FE (which only has 10% better CPU) & costs 2x, it's best budget Tab since past 5-6 years for Samsung
Fun Fact: Samsung.. didn't even wanted to improve this budget Tab in noticble way.. so people get S9 FE.. even Vivid Screen mode is missing.. but still, this A9+ still trade punches with a lot of Chinese Tablets.. but with much better UI, stable Android & a lot of features
I had the Tab A8 and upgraded to the Tab A9+, I agree with most of your points here but I would like to add:
1. Battery life seems worse than the Tab A8. By how much? Not sure, but I'm at 50% after 3 hours of constant offline video playback (started at 85%).
2. Although the display colors are weak, they are definitely noticeably better than the Tab A8. I still have the A8 so I did compare.
3. Speakers are also noticeably better than the Tab A8, there's more dynamic range. Keep in mind that there is still a lack of low-end response.
4. Processing power is MILES ahead of the Tab A8. Even when I first bought the A8, it already felt a little laggy. The A9+ by comparison handles everything I've thrown at it like a champion (considering the $200~ price point of course). I'm honestly kind of shocked at how fast it is.
Definitely get the 8/128 model though, 4 GB RAM will become unusable soon if not already.
Overall I'm very very happy with my purchase and I'd recommend it to anyone that doesn't need to take notes or draw with the S Pen. I wouldn't have made a recommendation for the Tab A8.
@@stevehartt I agree with most of your points.. except the battery
A9+ have like 7 hours of usage.. which is not bad considering this Tab screen 90Hz.. at 60Hz U might get an hour or 2 more
Also, SD 695 (6nm) is basically SD 750G (8nm) which was med tier back in 2021, but SD 695 slightly more efficient
I tested the Tab with light usage.. The Standby mode is super great.. I charged it only 1 time in past 5 days Lol
The Screen also is slightly brighter than A8.. so it's more brighter + 90Hz Vs A8 dim screen + 60 Hz = drained battery
Personally.. I think Samsung didn' even tried in past years for their budget Tabs (they only promot high end Tabs).. but now they feel high comptetion from china Tabs (which is cheap & have better hardware).. so they improved Tab A9/9+ drastically
I wished they had better IPS display (especially the viewing angles) & 7700mah instead of 7000mah battery (10%).. but they don't want to give U the best experince for cheap.. they want U to pick Tab S9 / S9FE which does have eveything better but more $$$
Got the 8G model and I agree with you mostly. Battery life gets better with useage. After 2 weeks mine seems settled in and I can watch TH-cam for about 7 8 hours.... where I disagree is the s9FE. That model on sale for 369 is probably worth it if your really into watching content as the display is far better. And ip68. For the a9+ as the display while good enough isnt anywhere close to my s23 ultra which bothers me a lot. I ended up buying the S9 plus 512G for my personal use. But I have enjoyed my A9+ a lot. Highlights are speakers. Dex. 90hz. Accessories are cheap.
@hingautomotiveeta5839 As far as I know.. All S9 Tab models (S9/S9+/S9 Ultra) are using AMOLED X2 (which is same as S23 Ultra panels)
But I won't be surprised if Samsung cut a few corners since S23 Ultra is small device compared to large S9+ Tab..
In fact, S23 Ultra is like $1200 for base model, while S9 Tab is $800 and have a huge screen compared to S23 Ultra (bigger screens costs more)
So yeah, S23 Ultra screen probebly is slightly better.. but trust me.. Tab S9 screen is probebly best screen out there for any Tab
I can even afford Tab S9 Ultra with no issue, but for me it's now about what I can afford?.. it's more like, Should I afford?
I use Tabs rarely.. maybe 2 times a week.. so I didn't want to pay $800-$1000 for Tab.. $200 for decent tab is more than enough
I always go with "Should I afford?" not with "Can I afford".. that's helped me a lot skipping some expensive items that I don't use on daily basis
Thanks for the comment. It's very spot on in so many ways. And you list a ton of great pros and cons. I agree with you. Samsung has never really had a vivid mode in their budget tablets which stinks.. But I'm not sure I agree that they didn't want to improve the Tab. They made it WAY faster than the A8, they added a higher refresh rate, added DeX, overall I'm impressed with the upgrades in a big way. Obviously can't compete with the value of Chinese tablets like you mention, but it does very very well in the US overall.
Either way, your comment is full of great value, always welcome on my channel, thanks so much.
Ive been researching Galaxy Tabs for a few days. Was stuck between the A9 + and the S9 FE. Tmobile just did a promotion to get a free A9+ when you add a line. So that made my decision for me! Cant beat free. Ive had it 1 day and really like it. The screen resolution and size is nice! Its very thin and doesnt seem very durable but nothing a case cant fix. Ordered a second one for my son today. (Also free)
Sounds like a great deal! Glad you like it! And hope you enjoy it
Thx Mate, gonna buy one for my Mum to replace her tired laptop which she used only for web browsing.
Good idea
Excellent review. As someone who has an OG Tab A, an A7, A8, and now the A9+, I agree with all the points you make here. The A7, oddly, has a better quality picture than the A8, but the A9+ beats them both. And it's noticeably faster as well, making it a big win for, as you say, the same price as the previous models. Pretty impressive.
Going for more ram and s snapdragon CPU is what makes it a win.
Thanks for the comment and for sharing!
Excellent review.
Awesome. Glad you're enjoying the reviews. Appreciate the comment
My last comment was wrong. I didnt have tab7. I have the Tab A. I am typing this comment on the old Samsung tab A. Still works. It still can play my Megapolis game. Its slow because I bult my 5 cities really big. But still plays well. I playthe game on my galaxy s7 now which is much faster.
This was a nice review! I never really owned a tablet before but i was getting my mom a new phone and saw i could get the a9+ for $162 so i decided to get something nice for myself. I'm excited for it to come in.
You won't be disappointed, it feels premium with it's squared aluminum sides, Amazon has the tempered glass screen protectors for 3 for $8 and nice cases for $4, $8. It gets bright and loud also.
Hope you enjoy it!
Just subscribed!!! I’m considering this tablet to replace my Galaxy Tab A 10.1(2016) model, it’s been a great 8 years with it!!! Has been very taken care of as I do all of my devices but I’m ready to replace it!! I also use an iPad 7th Generation(128GB) as my personal tablet and a Samsung tablet as my secondary/backup.
I feel like the Galaxy Tab A9+ would be a HUGE UPGRADE over my aging Galaxy Tab A 10.1(2016), which only has 16GB of internal storage.
This is a fact. You're dead on. It's a big upgrade. I also compared it to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in a separate video. And made another video about the RAM. So stay tuned. I cover a lot of galaxy tab stuff. But also a lot of budget phone, mid range, and some higher end phone stuff too
Good review...bought the A9+ to replace an old Samsung Galaxy S3 (but still works)...
Not bad. It's not flagship like the S3. But if a new replacement. Just remember, if you want to see huge improvements you'll have to get a flagship model like the tab s9. Regardless the A9+ is great. Hope you enjoy it
I have a question, what are the magnetic pins for on the tablet? What keyboard is it compatible with?
awesome upgrades
I think so too!
I'm still rockin' the galaxy tab S6 and still works like new. Still holds a charge, has dex.. i get lots of updates.
I'm not fond of the new table prices.
For you, I hope you continue to enjoy that as long as you can. If you want a great tablet but don't want to pay the prices, you might want to eventually look into getting a used Galaxy Tab S9 in mint condition, something like that. Ebay and swappa have some reputable sellers (check feedback). (99% and up on ebay is what I look for). And you should be able to find a great condition one for cheaper. The S8 doesn't have an AMOLED screen, like your Tab S6, that's why I say S9 or higher.
Great review! Very clear summary of the tablet and it's features. Good speaking voice too. Gonna have to get one of these!
Thank you so much, seriously appreciate it a ton
Great video! My GF basically "lives" in her phone so I,m getting her the A9, 175 USD, hoping it is worth the price:)
Thanks for the review Adam Sandler
That's a new one. Normally people say I look like a white Drake. I do like Adam Sandler though 🤣

A9+ is on $50 OFF sale currently at Best Buy and Amazon, $219 for the 8GB RAM version.. I just picked one up to upgrade my aging Galaxy Tab A 10.1 that was a few years old
Did the same for 219 today
@@everythingautomotiveeta5839bout to pull the 🔫rigger
Nah bro U got scammed.. I got it for $202 yesterday xD
Well.. each region have different sales.. but overall.. $219 for 8GB/128GB is a good deal.. at $280 U should pay $100 & get S9 FE
I also had Tab 10.1 & it's lag from day one (3GB RAM) which suffers from weak CPU & low RAM
A9+ is like 2x stronger in CPU power & 2.5x in RAM.. also it's support 128GB (UFS 2.2) which is 2x faster than older (EMMC)
Yep, great deals!
Thanks!
Thank you!
@@AndroidDigestYou bet!
I own the smaller version of the A9 in the Philippines and here the A9 makes phone calls and texts with its own number. You can also answer calls from another Samsung phone if they are both signed in on the same account. It would be cool to have that capability on a larger tablet.
Hi.. How much did you pay for your A9 tablet?
I paid 9,000 Philippine pesos ($159 usd) at the Samsung store@@cath.is.an.erizen
For video watching this tablet is unbeatable in its range, the speakers are better than those of the S9FE and it's 11" vs 10.9". And the 8G RAM option is pretty great to avoid reloads
It 100 percent NOT unbeatable. Xiaoxin pad pro 12 inch lenovo tablet with 870 snapdragon wipes ass with this trash. It litterally twice as good in display, processing power, charging speeds, and just overall powerformance playing every game on ultra settings. Do some research before commenting. 9a plus with LTE is litterally same price as the lenovo and they not even close in performance and quality
@@droo9466 screen twice as good is the funniest bs I have ever heard 🤣 you have no idea of how good Samsung TFT displays are (and I have tons of devices to compare from S7FE to S8 ultra, to S9 to iPad pro 11 and 12.9), and you are probably confusing them with TN panels... Also sure 870 is better, I have in my lenovo, but for video watching who cares... and you had to find the LTE which nobody asked for just to get close to the price of the levono... And in terms of local support Samsung and Lenovo are not even close (even less if you buy on Aliexpress).
@_Digitalguy tab a9plus is what we are talking about and the screen is much worse than lenovos p11. And I compared it with 12 inch If you want cheaper same price go with the 11 inch . And if you have just a little brain, then you would see that every single reviewer who showed them side by side shows a9 plus is straight trash compared to lenovos display. Both in colors and clarity. That you think a9 plus display is better just proves how drunk you are . All you have to do is open your eyes. And besides that the a9 plus is much much slower and more laggy. Please stop lying to people and say that a9 plus is better just because you want it to be good lol
@@_Digitalguy and stop spreading misinformation and giving bad advice. Lenovo p11 is a much much better buy . S695 is pure garbage . Don't you know anything about tech at all ?
@_Digitalguy yes twice as good. Difference is totally visible in display.. you called it unbeatable . Totally delusional to call s695 with horrible display unbeatable . Are you drunk . Lte or not. I said the 12 inch. Just go with the 11 inch p11 then if you want to act dumb
A9+ is an amazing tablet I have it with 4GB with 64GB storage but still a great tablet. I do want the S tablets but they are out of my budget right now. I had the tab A6 old tablet but jumping on to the A9+ yes yes yes better tablet for me and very affordable
Nothing wrong with the A9+. I'm shocked they made it so much better than last year for the same price.
This tablet is good for budget specially I have version with 5g capable
Very pleased with mine 😊
Glad you're enjoying it
Hi! Great review! I am looking for the tablet for kids and in general movies/cartoons and some internet surfing, maybe some easy games. I am thinking about A9+ or Lenovo P11 Gen 2. Which one would you recommend? Whic one in your opinion is better in terms of smooth and speed operation, better screen visibility ( in bright condition) and angles and futureproof ( support from samsung - security updates and android updates)? For now the price of a9+ is a bit better than P11 Gen 2 - also important factor.
Recently Lenovo released M11 TB330FU - also considering this device, as much more budget friendly option. Are you planning the review of this model? Most likely M11 will be worse option copmaring to a9+ in terms of performance ( benchmarks and heavy gaming), but for enterainment: movies and internet, it can be very good and cheaper alternative. thanks!
I chose the Samsung over the Lenovo because Samsung has a more stable UI and more consistent OS updates. The Lenovo is known to have stability issues with apps crashing etc. A9+ is currently on sale, $50 OFF, so $219 for the 8GB RAM version makes it a no brainer.
Sorry for the late response. I would recommend the A9+. But it's complicated. The screen is better on the P11 Gen 2, that's for sure. And would be better in more viewing conditions. But I'd say the A9+ is the better all around choice and the more "stable" choice. Lenovo is iffy with software updates, and sometimes they release bad updates and don't fix for awhile. This tablet has good updates coming, 2 years at least with 4 years of security updates from what I heard. Speed will be very similar anyway, maybe even better on the A9+. My daughter uses the A9+ and loves it. I will eventually cover the M11 on my channel for sure. Or I plan to. Hopefully this helps. Sorry for the late reply.
I just bought this tablet. Like it so far. Tonight I went to install an SD card... put it in the sled pushed it in and the card went above the socket and is now lodged between the screen and the SD card slot... now I have to disassemble it to retrieve my SD card... idk if I somehow did it wrong or it's a poor design.
I'm so sorry about that, Yeah, not sure if your unit had a defect or something. I know I try to be very careful if an sd card slips upon inserting, that can happen and things can get broken.
Hey, does the back have any flex? Like push into the middle and middle left and stuff on the back of it... Any flex at all?
I didn't really notice any. I just pressed on the front. I've got my daughter's case on it and it's a pain to get on and off right now 🤣 but I'll just say I didn't notice anything in my time with it. Maybe others will share though
Tried the A8 and didn't like it, the A9+ (8GB version) is a massive improvement over its predecessor: Better processor (Snapdragon), faster memory (UFS), much faster touch response, better display viewing angles, better display colours...
Everything U said is correct.. but not sure about better viewing angles..
Already had A9+ and it's super great for it's value.. but viewing angles still bad..
But I guess Samsung had to reduce costs even more.. my Lenovo P11 have much better display viewing angles
What is your experience in gaming at this device?
@ghadabalaw didn't game to be honest
But according to reviews.. it's entery level device.. will work great on old games.. but won't run bew heavy games smoothly
If you want heavy gaming device.. go for SD 7 series.. or 8 series if you willing to afford it
@@Jack_Sparrow131for sure so that I am asking, I want some light games like Family farm lol, so that I am asking before purchasing. Thank you !
@@ghadabalaw I didn't tried it hard tbh, just some light gaming and it performed great. The processor on the A8 wasn't too bad but the biggest improvement for gaming, in my opinion, is the faster touch response.
I'll buy it eventually but they have some kind of multi touch issue going on like I bought two and both had it. Like if you try to expand the screen with two fingers or even one hand there's a point where it doesn't register two fingers. The strange thing though I think maybe the 64gb 4gb might not be bugged but the 128gb 8gb ram one is which is unfortunate because that's the best specs lol If you try to expand it like linearly like fingers towards the middle of the screen it may trigger it but expanding it actually works if you do it diagonally like towards the corners for some reason
I'm not having the issue at all right now on my 8 GB of RAM model. Maybe updates solved it. But I just played goat simulator and was able to use both fingers at the same time. I also zoomed in on Google maps with no problem. Is it possible that there are just some defective units? Possible. Did software fix it? Possible. Have I had the issue and it was fixed? Maybe I didn't notice it? All possible. All I know is I don't have any issue right now
I believe I've read on Reddit and some other sites that Samsung said 3 years OS updates, 4 years security updates. But it's with an asterisk, if it's the customer base demand is there for 3 OS updates.
I think Samsung is to the point where they will update devices til their specs can no longer handle it unless there is no customer demand for the product.
I did some research and I read multiple things. That's why I didn't want to make any firm guarantees. I thought I did actually read more years than I said in the video. But I couldn't even find it anywhere. And I read a few different things from different places. Even then, they aren't making any guarantees on their end. So we'll see what they do
@@AndroidDigest I tried to connect wired mouse and keyboard through otg adaptor but it's not working. Can you please help me with this
I got the Tab 10.1 back in 2019 and have been thinking of an upgrade, the main thing that slugs it down is having a few things going at once (say the browser and a streaming app). How does the 9+ handle that kind of thing?
Handles it pretty good. I guess it depends on what tablet in particular you're talking about having in the past. You should have a much much better experience now. There is an 8 GB of RAM version that handles things even better. That's the one with more storage. Feel free to watch the video to see how fast some things can load. I think it does pretty good
How do we think this compares to Lenovo P11 Gen 2? Also Excited to see this compared to the new Lenovo M11.
exactly the same dilema: P11 Gen2 vs M11 vs A9+
Late response, but honestly, I prefer the Tab a9+, the biggest reason is software updates. I also like the performance of this snapdragon chip and Samsung DeX. I prefer Samsung software on tablets, personally, and Lenovo is often slow to update, they have less long term support as well. The P11 Gen 2 has a better quality screen, slightly, and performance will be similar, but I'd still pick the Tab A9+ because I think it's the more long-term stable device, even for a techy like me.
Makes perfect sense! Thank you!@@AndroidDigest
It is an upgrade for sure just bought it
Can you please make a review of the Honor pad X9? I really think it's one of the best budget tablets and I will like to now your opinion. Thanks
Maybe one of these days, I'm in the US though and have so many things to cover. I already have 4-5 videos planned out and more to come after, not sure if I'll get to it, and honor devices are hard to come by. I'll try to get something like that eventually and see how it performs on the channel though.
@@AndroidDigest thanks
According to Samsung two model of the Tab A9+ support Spen and it is does have waterproof and dustproof rating.
Hmm? Spen support on this tab?
It doesn't support the S Pen
Not seeing any support for the s pen like some say. And no water resistance per multiple sources I'm seeing.
Just picked one up on Amazon for 189 for work and I’m very excited
A very good deal for that!
Currently using matepad T 10 inch. Worth to switch this one? Mainly using tablet for youtube and movies & series. And sometimes web browsing.
Yeah it's definitely worth a switch. It's going to be faster, it comes with more RAM.
Good review...
Thanks so much. Really appreciated
You can actually do some pretty heavy gaming on the 8GB ram option... I was playing COD Mobile on Max graphics and the frame rate only dipped like twice in a 2 hour gameplay.
Good to know
That's awesome to hear.
I just paid $45 with the purchase of the Galaxy S24 Ultra....I think I made a good choice.
Great great review ❤🔥🔥🔥
Great as long as expectations are in check. For basic browsing, reading, or for video watching you will enjoy it. But it won't compare to a $1,000 phone by any means. It will really have to be viewed as a basic companion, and for $45 that's an absolute steal.
Great choice as long as expectations are in check
@@AndroidDigest yea. The s24 ultra is for me lol the tablet I'll give it to my dad. He's very simple so a $1000 tablet I think would be overkill for him. So getting this tablet for $45 is perfect.
@@AndroidDigestI understand that perfectly.
My current tablet is a 10 inch onn tablet i got for like 40 bucks in 2020, honestly i only use it for youtube so it still works fine but this seems like it might be a worthwhile upgrade. My one question is does it have a micro sd slot?
It does have a SD card slot. And this would be way way better than that tablet. A good upgrade for sure
Just updated my A9+ to Android 14 & UI 6.0 😊
Awesome! Hope you are enjoying it!
Did you notice any lag or slowdowns?
@@Mosestylez No, runs like clockwork. Generally >4Gb RAM free (8 Gb version).
Actually I'm watching this with my Tab A9 plus lol I love this thing
That's awesome. I hope you enjoy it!
I just saw this in person and the screen looks pretty similar to the screen or iPad 10. The specs say the iPad has a higher ppi but I couldn't tell in person and it gets brighter than the iPad 10.
I know you've had an eye on it. The iPad is something I want to compare it to at some point, just so many other videos to do.
Connecting a monitor has been standard Android feature for many years since micro USB days etc. I think you mean it does not support DEX to an external display? Or it kikda does anyway since you have screen mirroring but normal DEX can run seperate from the phone or tablets normal UI.
USB-C ports have to support connecting physically to a monitor. Some usb-c ports do not support it depending on the usb-c version. Obviously any android device with the correct usb-c version can connect to a monitor, but many low end devices don't have that. I'm talking about full monitor support, and support through Samsung DeX.
@@AndroidDigest Even all Android devices with microUSB supported display out... There is the basic screen mirroring via usb-hdmi regardless unless they remove the software and hardware.
which pen suits this tablet?
Is the wi-fi connection stable on the A9+? The wi-fi keeps dropping on the A8 and it drives me crazy. Thanks for the informative video.
I have that same problem on my A8....especially when on TH-cam...I wish he had answered you
@@jackfistfite1922 I bought the 128GB Lenovo P12 Tab to replace the A8 for $270 on Amazon USA and highly recommend it. I did read on the Reddit Samsung Galaxy Tab sub that the A9+ DOES have the same wi-fi issue as the A8. I won't by another Samsung tablet again after my experience with the A8. Happy trails...
It has been stable for me personally. Sorry for the late response. I called out the wifi in the S5e, I had big wifi issues there, but no wifi issues on this device.
I have an A8 and I've never had problems with the wi-fi.
I’m looking for a tablet only for reading graphic novels and books, specially to use the marvel unlimited app. Would this be enough? I don’t wanna spend much money on a tablet that I wont be using for anything else
Oh for sure. I think this would be great for that. Just remember that it's not going to be a mind-blowing screen quality. You're not getting AMOLED like you would on a flagship phone. So the colors might feel a little bit dull compared to a flagship phone. But it's still a really good device and it's still a 1080p screen, so the screen looks fine. I think it would have worked perfectly for what you're doing
Checked this one in the physical store a couple days ago (legit Samsung store in big mall). It did NOT have a headphone jack tho which is odd.
WAY better screen in reality than what you read in the spec sheets.
Compared it side-to-side with more expensive tablets and the A9+ still looked crisper and brighter.
It's so easy to read "TFT screen" and nope out, but seeing it in person is totally different from the old days of shitty TFT's.
It's possible you looked at a different tablet and they just had it labeled wrong 😂. Could have been the S9 FE or something
i bougth the a9 and the a9 plus. my a9 plus has 8 gig 128 gig storage with sim slot for 5g.
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it!
Just bought this tablet , played online poker for 6 hrs straight and still had 50% Battery ..Lovin this tablet so far great buy for the price 👌
Awesome. Glad you're enjoying it
Soon after setting up tablet theres a notification that pops up that says "finish setting up your tablet" does anyone know what this leads to since when i clicked it, the notification didn't go anywhere.
Sorry for the late response. It leads you to a set up screen and asks you again (for a second time) if you want to go through and restore from a backup, things like that, after you go through all of it, even though it's the second time, it will go away, they do that for those people I think that accidentally skip past restoring from a backup, then they are stuck.
Has anybody had issues with it being locked for North America. I got my daughter the a9 and when setting up the device canada was not an option. Im wanting the a9+ for myself
I mean, I bought a "spanish" version of the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and it didn't give the united states as an option for set up. I just clicked another country, set it up, and it didn't affect my daily usage of the device. I'm not sure what type of lock she's experiencing. But hopefully you will be able to resolve it!
My tablet indicates it will make phone calls as long as I'm signed in on the same samsung account. Initially upon leaving tmobile I made one phone call while not on wifi. Since then I have not been able. Called Samsung tech support. We launched smart tutor so they could navigate through my settings because, according to them, it should work without being connected to wifi. That attempt failed, and still no phone calls outside of being connected to wifi. Tmobile in store reps tried to resolve my issue. The same, nada. The fact that I made one phone call says to me that maybe an update took place and took that feature away. Do you have a video that covers that, or would you suggest something else?
Is your tablet a Wi-Fi tablet or a LTE tablet? If it has LTE or 5G, then I'm not really sure what your issue is honestly. If it is Wi-Fi only, if you have no internet whatsoever, it's not going to be able to make phone calls. And I'm not really sure why you had that one time where it worked. Either way, I'm not sure I can help much
This is pretty good value for money overall. The screen is decent, 5G, good battery life, reasonable build quality, software support for 4 years, decent wifi and good bluetooth codecs including APTX HD and LDAC so great for streaming music to bluetooth speakers. The speakers support Dolby Atmos. Good all round device for everyday use without breaking the bank.
Exactly! Thanks for sharing
2:38 You forgot to mention that wireless screen mirroring has gotten pretty good in the recent years.
Received mine yesterday and there's no charging adaptor included. Just a cable that's incompatible with the Samsung adapters I have.. Is that normal? THE A7 came with an adapter included.
Yes. That's fairly normal honestly. Apple started this trend about 4 years ago. Maybe 5.. They stopped including the adapters in the box, to help the environment, that was their excuse. Because most people will have an adapter. And they might not need another. It took a year or two but Samsung started to follow them. So they took the adapters out of the boxes for the bigger phone releases. They didn't do it on the cheaper phones, because they realized those people might not be able to afford an adapter if they had to buy one. So they were a little slower with cheaper phones and tablets. But they moved everything this way the past year or two. They aren't alone either. Almost every other tablet manufacturer and phone manufacturer is doing the same thing now.
I used the m2 iPad Pro 11” and I’m impressed with this tablet Samsung killing in the budget category
For sure! They're doing pretty good
So thoughts on this vs. the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (Gen 2)?
I can see it going either way. Like the Lenovo definitely has some better hardware. It's going to be a little bit faster, you get a better refresh rate, and the screen is a little bit better since it's OLED. But the Samsung has, and will have, better software support by a decent margin. Samsung is also more reliable with their software updates, and it has Samsung dex. The Lenovo doesn't have a huge bump in all the hardware, 120 hz for the refresh rate instead of 90. Yes, the mediatek processor is a little faster but I was surprised at the performance of the A9 Plus. Personally, software is pretty important to me, and I would take a small hit on hardware to get a little bit more of a reliable experience long-term. But it's very very close and I can see why someone would prefer Lenovo, the OLED screen, or the extra performance
i wish they would sell the tab a9 8.7 inch in the USA. i still dont see now place for sale except the international version on amazon
Hopefully it comes soon
I had the 1st s6 lite but i got bored of it after a while because I'm just too used to my phones screen 😂
It was still very good overall.
I hear you, the S6 Lite is good, but I don't blame you. Phone screens are so good nowadays.
@@AndroidDigest yeah
Does anyone know if I can use this tablet as a 2nd screen for my galaxy book?
I dont think so. Heard somewhere the type C port is 2.0 but I could be wrong. I only just ordered it but dont own it yet.
Hello, I have won the A9+ 5G in a raffle recycling bottles, it will arrive the other week I am very happy that by collaborating with the environment I can win a tablet greetings from Spain, excellent video
Awesome! Hope you enjoy the tablet. It's pretty nice for a basic and cheaper Android tablet. Honestly the best cheaper Android tablet I've tried in a long time. Most of their budget tablets haven't been too good on the lower end. But this one is pretty good
Got this for the purpose on my toddler watching TH-cam videos. Is it OK for that reason will it run smooth enough?
Oh 100%. Even the Tab A8 would do that. This is much more capable. My 5 year old used the AI+ and loves it
Could you please suggest a standard stylus compatible with a9+ for 2024?
To be honest, I don't have a particular recommendation, I don't use many standard styluses, I'd look up "capacitive stylus" on Amazon. Use tools like "fakespot" which is a website that looks at fake reviews, try to find one that has great ratings, that's what I'd recommend
Will there be Samsung keyboard to connect to its pogo pins?
It's kinda the whole point with those pins to have accessories like that
I would expect it to, but haven't tested any keyboards on it yet, I hope to soon!
hi is there any problem with playing games such as Brawl Stars etc.. ? i read about multi Touch screen's errors ?
Let me just say that I have the 8 GB of RAM version and I don't have any multitouch issues. I just tried it out today with goat simulator and with with Google maps and didn't have any issues. Is it just something I didn't notice up front? Maybe. Was it solved with software updates? Maybe. Are there devices out there that have some type of hardware issue? I'm unsure. But I do know my device is working great
@@AndroidDigest thanks ,i bought a 4 gigabyte Ram version, 1 month ago, and i like it, no error or no problem with my device.
Can you change the icons on the a9+ tablet like you can on a mobile?
I am not a big customizer and didn't play around with that to be honest, I still have my A9+ and use it alot, but not in front of it, and to be honest I'm catching up on a lot of comments, so I hope someone can help you with this!
@AndroidDigest I can actually answer my own question, seeing as I recently went into a retailer and had a play around with one. Sadly you can't change the icons. Think you should be able to as it can be done on a mobile.
This is a useful review.
Thank you, it means a lot.
yep always looking forward for the s9 because of dex but after knowing a9 got dex changed my mind
Yeah the A9+ and S9 FE even have Dex
Can you use the galaxy tab a8 charger brick for it since it doesn't come with one
yes. You can use any usb-c brick or any usb-c device to charge this anyway. Even if it came with your headphones, that's why I love USB-C
I just bought it to upgrade my Lenovo M10 trust me when I say its good also I got it off 50$ discount
Definitely
can you use the pen that comes with the S6 lite tablet
No. It will only with with capacitive stylus with no features
How about comparing between Tab A9+ & Tab S6 lite, which one better? Or Tab S6 lite still relevant to in year 2024?
I think it's pretty neck and neck. Honestly. This doesn't have spen support. But the screens will be some more quality. I think this is actually ever so slightly faster, at least maybe with benchmarks. Plus this has a 90 Hertz display. So a better refresh rate. Overall it's pretty close

I do understand, pretty hard to choose from new model A9 Plus and older version S6 lite with S pen...
Sometimes, really felt dilemma with both tablet 😂
I'm in the same boat.
I bought a tab S6 Lite literally just about a week before this got released.
I could still trade in, but I got a great deal on my S6 Lite ($140 new!), so I don't think spending the extra money is worth it in my case.
I'm really torn. Comes down to S Pen versus better specs on paper.
I'm not a mobile gamer though. If I was I'd probably opt for the 128/8 model of the A9+.
This choice has been eating at me for a while now and it doesn't seem like there's any definitive answer. I saw one comparison video where the colors looked faded out on the A9+ screen compared to the S6 Lite side by side, but I don't know if that's indicative of real world usage.
In the end: 🤷
Yeah...me 2.... even I am confused as to go with the A9+ or S6 Lite.
Have checked upon the other models to ..like the Lenovo M10 Plus, One Plus Pad Go, xiaomi 6, and so on.. but none of them have an earjack, Sim card slot or any other features..they lack something or the other.
Any other suggestions?

After a month, finally I had my Samsung Galaxy A9 Plus.. Overall I can say, this device work perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy A73 5g ecosystem work quite well.. should try out the tab A9 Plus if you are using Samsung device as it's benefits with the ecosystem in Samsung range
So how does this compare to the Lenovo P11 Plus 4GB/64GB? I've compared mine to the S6 Lite (2022) and I found the P11 Plus to be notably faster. I'm thinking about upgrading, yet I've really only considered the P11 Plus 6GB/128GB
I own this 128g 8G ram model. This thing packs a punch a level above the price. The only weakness to me. Is contrast not being strong like he said *muted* but im being very picky coming from a galaxy s23 ultra phone with the amoled screen. Powerful little tablet.
If you wana watch TH-cam 1080P at 60FPS your golden! Resolution is great it's smooth
I actually decided to order the A9+ 8GB/128GB a few hours after posting here. It's a good tablet, mind you it's just a tiny bit slower than the P11 Plus. It's now my back-up tablet to the P11 Plus.
The only drawback is it just can't compete to the high end IPS display on the P11 Plus in terms of color.
I'm concerned about lenovas lack of future support which is drawing me towards this @@charlesbaxter7405
I have Android 14 and 1 ui6 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9 Plus
How many years of OS upgrade will Samsung give?
I've heard 2 major os updats and 4 years of security updates. But that could be wrong. But I'm pretty sure from my research that I'm right.
I been looking at this solely for reading manga but some people are telling me text would look like crap. Thoughts?
It would be great for that. I guess it's all about their expectations, but it's a 1080p screen. It's not 720p or anything. But it won't look like a 2k screen you see on a $800 flagship phone. Worst case check it out at best buy or something, but I think it would look good.
@@AndroidDigest I actually got it 2 days ago. It's perfect! 😊
I purchased this TAB for my Video Editing on the GO. I use VN Player and Filmora. Can you please tell me will this edit without any LAG? The product is on the way and yet to be delivered.
Honestly you'll probably be able to test it quicker than I can! You may have the tablet in hand already too! I'm sure it could do fine with some 1080p or 720p on Luma fusion, that's one of my favorite apps, you can try a trial on kinemaster or power director or something too. I like Luma fusion because it's a one time purchase. If it doesn't work well within an hour or so of using it, you can always ask Google for a refund, if you are quick enough (I think they give you 2 hours of use before they don't allow refunds, but I can't remember the exact policy)
How did it work out? Is it good for Video Editing? I am also thinking of getting this one and I am curious if it is good for editing :)
@@marliesjanmaat8550 No my friend this is not good and I was struggling with my 4k videos I had to convert all 4k to 1080p which made things complicated for me. For the money its absolutely more Than adequate and when you add in its samsung with their updates and leave of mind. I'm thrilled.
Tft display negative
Everything else positive
Lol.. U really compare $1300 S24 Ultra with $220 budget tab? xD
The only thing better than S24 Ultra is S9 (use same AMOLED X2 panel) but will look much better since it's TAB large screen
@Jack_Sparrow131 everybody has different starting points. If you actually thought about it past trying to be a smart ass it makes sense. Most of us start with a nice phone pushed on us by our carrier at a good deal. We get used to that tech. Try a new piece of tech. Feel ot falls short of what you currently got and upgrade said tech.
So I've recently got my S9+ tab.... the display on the tab A9+ and performance is honestly really good. I've compared them side by side on many many videos watching at their full capacity ( 1080P at 60 a9+ and 2160 s9+) the s9 is better. Yes. Duh. But the a9+ is rigjt there with it. It just falls behind on viewing angles and color mutedness it's what's most noticeable for me. The a9+ speakers are as good as the s9+ imho
@everythingautomotiveeta5839 Personally, when it comes to technology.. I made some logical points before buying
For example, how much its costs, how long am gonna use it in a daily basis, does the features are essential or an eye candy..etc
I reached a good simple golden rule.. its called "its not about can I afford it" but its more like "Do I really need it?"
My PC is like $3000, but that's because I use it each day for like 3 hours (6 hours at weekends) with 4k heavy games
My phone is S23+ (2023) which costs me $950, but I use it 2-3 hours a day (probably will keep it up to 2026 minimum)
But Tabs.. I use them like 1 hour each 4 days.. so getting S9 over A9 will be just a waste
Always go for "Do I need it?" & never go for "Can I afford it?"
Great thoughts!
Supposedly, this tablet doesn't have PWM to control the brightness, but I tried it on Best buy and I was getting eye strain and a slight headache. I tried the Lenovos on the same aisle, no eye strain or dizziness whatsoever. Didnt buy either because Im still not sure if 11" will be too big for me. I want to be able to use it on my bed and type on it with my thumbs.
Good luck finding a tablet that works for you. I know a stinks if you get headaches and things like that
On here you say that it cannot be connected to a monitor. I believe from researching that the usb-c 2.0 is able to be connected to a display via a usb-c to HDMI cable. Is this not correct then?
That is not correct. Every USB C 2.0 device I've tried, the S7 FE, S9 FE, the A9+. I've tried all of them with a USB c to HDMI. It hasn't worked
@@AndroidDigest thank you. Could you tell me which Samsung tablet does support this function please?
How would it be for watching movies? How are the dark scenes?
Very subjective I guess. It's fine but it won't blow you away. I guess it depends on what your expectations are for $230
A Galaxy A9+ (6/64gb) or a Lenovo M11 (8/128gb)? I've seen conflicting reviews regarding which is better. The Lenovo is cheaper, despite the increased RAM and storage. Inferior chipset on the Lenovo though. Anyone tested both?
Well in the US the A9+only has 4GB with an 8GB option at 128GB of storage. I think software updates are pretty significant thing in Lenovo tends to be really bad about that. I would pick the A9 plus personally because of the chipset being better. And software updates. And you could get the 8GB of RAM version if that's a concern. But I'm interested in the thoughts of others if they have them
I have 2 lenovo yogabooks..both quit working and neither one would upgrade when it was showing there was one available..would NEVER get a Lenovo ! All I get is "unfortunately tablet has stopped " when I tried...no help available from them either. You would eventually b sorry u got one.
Should i get if its 150$? Its 64gb new. Or get tab m10+ 3rd gen?
64gb for this is a waste
I'd get this, even the 64GB version will do fine for the basics. A lot of people suggest more so you get more RAM or something, the 128GB version has 8GB of RAM, but if you're comparing with the M10 and trying to get something cheap, this is GREAT for $150.
Is Samsung a9+ good as a mini laptop? Is it worth it? I am planning to buy it since I cannot carry my laptop all the time. I am also going to use it to make word documents, emails, and for entertainment (of course haha).
Yes and no. It can do some productive work, it's fast enough for that. But you would need some nice accessories with it to help you get productive, maybe a really good bluetooth keyboard. I still wouldn't replace a laptop with it, but it can be great for basics, and then good for SOME productive work when needed.
@@AndroidDigest oh great, thaks! i just bought it and it runs smoothly :)) i would not replace my laptop to this, however this is more portable to bring instead of my lappy haaha.
