i saw Authentic TSWs crack on the highway. when contacting the manufacturers they just ignore the complain. i use rota wheels and proud of this brand for its being home-grown
I have used Rota wheels since 2007 :) done 1500miles over 30driftdays and only broke 2rotas and that was a 70kph crash into a barrier, nothing wrong with them.
thank you for the vid, i started looking at grids recently and couldn't figure out why certain sized looked different in pictures. this cleared everything up
Thank you for the video. This helps a lot.
Thank you some rocking works and still respecting other brands :)
I've got 16x7 Grids on my classic Saab 900. Love them! Very light rims.
This are really good drifting wheels use them all the time on my s13 never had a problem with them
Thanks :-) looking for inspiration regarding the best rota grid set up for the gt86 - still deciding between a low offset in either 17 or 18"
Nice video! Does anybody know how heavy is the 15x7 rota grid rim?
do you have green versions of the Grid Drifts? in 17 inch or 18 inch 5X100
This helped a lot, thanks!
No problem! 👍
Do you do any that fit a toyota auris 2012/62 plate preferably 17s? Thanks
I don't know what people are going on about with Rota's being no good. There are more shoddy rims out there. If a company like driftworks has been using them for such a long time then Rota is doing something right. Not a big deal guys, don't cry.
its less about quality at this point. i think its just funny how they are unapologetically copying brands, i dont like companys who claim they have original wheel desighns, yet everything they offer is just "ever so similar" to very popular wheel desighns already in existance
+Ethan Kraus That's big business though. You look at any big company in pretty much any market and they will have similar products to other companies, whether it's shoes, coats, cleaning products or any car part marketed for aesthetic purposes or otherwise.
I suppose your correct. It just doesnt sit with me very well. Im very happy with my authentic gramlights that i paid full retail for, but i also cheaped out and got powered by max coilovers for my frs haha. Maybe im just fan boying. To each their own
+Ethan Kraus Reasonably, you should be happy with them. I'm just as happy paying £460 for Rota's as I am with paying £460 for some Crocket and Jones leather shoes. But shoes to me are more important anyway, so as you said, to each his own:)
Nice video be shure to share pple so guys get what they want, thanks driftworks
Just wandering would 18x9.5 fit on a vy commy?
Excellent video
Some of you dickheads are so disrespectful, of course a short video about wheels is going to be a bit boring but hey this company have gone out of their way to post it and it helps explain the different styles, offsets etc. without having to trawl through the options on the website. I find these dumb ass comments normally come from people who can't afford to buy anything anyway.
Well Driftworks the video helped me to decide where to buy from, I just placed an order as I would rather deal with a professional company who go that little bit extra to help their customers. Will post a video of the car when I have them fitted. Great service, emailed me back within minutes of my enquiry, called me up, deal done !!!
Would the 17 inch 17x9.5 et12 work on a standard is200?
Which Rota Grids are fitted to the E46 M3 in the vid?
Thanks :)
I'm interested in the Grid V's for my 2000 Civic Si, but I don't know if 16x8 will be to wide for my car. I plan on running the car with a flush stance, nothing too low. I just don't want to buy wheels to find out they're too large. Any suggestions?
Which ones are on the grey E46 shown at the end?
what size is fitted on the e46 m3 ? staggered setup ? and what tyrewidth?
Are any of these in Gloss Black? Or are the black ones all matte black in this video?
alloy or forged the rota wheel and how much durability
Great video but i'm a bit confused with sizes i'm planning to change my 17x8 Rota Torque wheels for 17" Rota Grid for my WRX 2002 with Brembos so don't know which one will be the correct selections.

yehh it would be nice to spend £5000 on a set of wheels, but not everyone can afford that... Plus rotas are wayyy better than some knockoff brands out there
my lancer GTS is a FWD so would it fit without any trouble? or still not sure it will?
Could a 18x8 Rota Grids fit a 2011 lancer gts without trouble?

I have legit Work Emotion CR Kai wheels on my S13 and real Prodrive by OZ on my STI but I wouldn't mind changing to Rotas at all. I think Rotas have been proved to be just as durable as the "real deal"

We supply them with lug nuts. Just tell us what car you have when checking out. They are 60* taper though for reference :)
perfect fit for celica 2002?
What is the intro song? XD
can someone plz explain me the wheel width vs tire width , because i dont know how wide the tire should be on a 7'' rim
195 would be a bit stretched and 205 would be perfect fit.
does numbers are the width in mm of the tires.
What's wrong with Rota? I've heard so many good things about them from people that either use them for their dailies and/or track use. And the only time I've heard bad things about Rota is from people that never had 'em or saw a few bad pictures on the internet with no back story to them. They've been put rigorous safety testing as well in Germany, as with many big name brand out there. Furthermore, people complain that they copy the same design concept from Volks, where as companies such as XXR and Enkei; just to name a few have both similar - if not the same designs as well. Both brands that have been used for dailies, track, and sometimes drift; hence why I'm perplexed as to why people bash on this specific brand in particular..
+Christian Malit if you don't track your car I'm sure you are going to be fine with it.
I had rota slipstream in my dc2 paid 550$ new great first wheels I got them in bronze ;)
@@apt62 most race/drift teams use rotas. I think that says enough about their quality.
@popolynn2 They're from the Philippines actually.
Rota already improved their products these years. They are quality
Awesome prices
regarding the gas consumption, is it true that the higher is the inches (15,16,17 inches)the biggest u can save gas? i need to know boss, thank you
Not true. There's many factors that can slightly affect mpg, and that's not really one of them.
intro song ?
cool stuff
Do you guys ship the US?
Honestly, ROTA is underrated. They're good wheels. I haven't had any problem driving on a bumpy road in BKK.
Liken that TVR in the back ;)
i want to get rota grids for my mazda 3 eventually
I have a MK7 Fiesta Zetec S and I think a set of Rota Grid’s would look nice on it. I just can’t figure out which one :)
Hi, get in touch with the team on shop@driftworks.com and they'll help you out.
Rota's used to have issues with the quality of their wheels, but ever since have really stepped up their game in the industry
drift works...can I go with the 18x9.5x38 on a 2015 wrx stock with no mods...if so what wheel size can i run with no rubbing or problems.....again stock wrx with no mods??? tsk
Danielle Bellanco you just need to make sure they clear your brakes. - Google 2015, stock wheel offset. Make sure it's comparable, then your good to go
But what are the weights? If they can't compete with the TE37 weight then what's the point.
They are pretty decent weight-wise to be fair.
whats the difference between rota grid drift and rota grid racing ??? :)
anyone know what rims are on that white 86..?! thanks!!
They're Rota Grid-V. You can check the available sizes and colours and such here www.driftworks.com/rota-grid-v-15-wheels-all-colours.html
thank you for your very quick response! lol
i have a 88 mazda rx7 fc vert that im building. im just now starting to understand this offset stuff lol
but still have some questions lol
but thank you very much! godbless!
At the end of the day, these wheels aren't as good as Rays or Works, but they ARE still decent, and they ARE good value for dudes that don't have a shitload of money to piss away. Shut the fuck up haters.
nice rc drift track... i gonna switch my xxr2 rims for rota gridson my miata
i have a 2004 Nissan 350z. Anyone know what size i can fit without rubbing ?
im using 17x9 on my 350z 2004 if u want to have look my instg : viktoor911
ViKTooR looks dope , which particular grid model are those that you have on your z? Really love the deep concave look
rota grid et35
I have rotas on my Supra and I love them. Haters gonna hate fuck what people think build your car for you. if you like them that's all that matters.
Impact test? Forged? Quality? Or is it just about looks?
Love the grid v
The "Interweb" says Rota's are notorious for shoddy craftsmanship but you guys test it on drift cars which must put a great deal of torque and stress on them. What is your opinion on their integrity in 2015?
Do you guys do more colours then this?? Like Orange because i want to get a set for my STi!!
OMG!! Datt 86...
Is that an RC drift track??
what would be the best offset for a 17'' on a 93 240sx
idk why people are saying they are shit and cheap..
they look fucking good thats all i care about
Thats the problem with tdays fan boys...looks come second to performance all day when talking about Racing/drifting
are you supporting me or against me haha idk anymore :'(
codfan122 The quality of the wheel comes into question. Looks do count for something to some people yes, but rotas are not the safest wheels to use for aggressive driving. You would be better off with Rays or something. I'll be getting some Gram Lights 57DR wheels for my miata this winter. The price difference is HUGE, a set of rotas with the Yokohoma Advan tires I want would be just around $1,000 My Gram lights with the same tires would be a little more than double that. But I would be confident my wheels wouldn't shatter to a hundred pieces and cost me more money and headaches than necessary. For low and slow static types, sure rotas will do fine. Aggressive track/autocross driving, you need something for more reliable and strong.
Joe Shmoe are they good for skids/drifts?
codfan122 You can use them but I watched drift videos wear a car swipes a wall and the rear wheel that touches the wall shatters as if it were glass. (rotas) and other real wheels like rays and works are mostly fine maybe a scraped up lip depending on momentum of the impact.
You can find images of any make and model of wheels smashed to bits.
Rota had one small batch of bad wheels released in the US a long time ago and that caused the hate.
Rota wouldn't be able to sell their wheels in the UK, USA or Europe if they weren't up to proper spec.
btw the rotas are rota grid-v's and gtr-d"s
nice tvr
Why do you guys use/sell a heavy cast Rota Grid instead of a much lighter forged Volk TE37? Obviously Volk is more expensive but I'm sure you guys can afford to put them on your race cars so why do you choose Rota over Volk?
I would buy Work Meisters but I don't have £2k to spend on a set of wheels, so I think these will do...
aww I thought this video explained the differences between the TE's and rotas :(
10.5x19 5x120 is a ET25 :D
That AE86 though 0.0
oh you used mittos playpen
Forget the wheels, just talk about the AE86 behind you
what the heck!? V8? holy shit haha, that's a big engine for the AE86, how does it handle? >_
