    I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B

    • @airgordo4
      @airgordo4 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Rogue already basically has this exact setup. Buy the racked version of the Rhino, buy a slinger.. Obviously that won't include the pull-up options and trolley arms, but the rest of it is pretty cost friendly. Racked version of the Rhino+slinger attachment is only about 3k. Best set-up Rogue has (cost/space wise) if you don't mind bench/squatting outside the rack IMO.

      @HauptmannGallenstein 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@airgordo4 do you think the rogue rhino with slinger is comparably good as the rack mounted latpull down for pulldowns and cable rows

    • @illestdomer2005
      @illestdomer2005 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HauptmannGallenstein Given how smooth the Rhino trolley functions, the only advantages I can see to the lat pulldown are convenience: fixed seat with leg support, quick setup for low rows with more comfortable feet, and weight stack in 10lb increments. Of course, this comes at the cost of thousands of dollars and a giant footprint, not to mention a forklift to get it into your home gym.

      @FreedomWolfGaming 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had never heard of the shrimp trawler. One of the biggest thing that's made me hesitant about upgrading from a squat stand to a rack, is the fact that I move a ton. So I'd want to get a short (ish) rack, but I don't want to have to buy a whole new rack down the road. I think what I'll do is get the shrimp trawler when I can so I can free-hang doing pullups.

    • @phoenixbaker5114
      @phoenixbaker5114 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FreedomWolfGaming The details when buying the Shrimp Trawler are a bit unclear. Even though in the picture it is extended high above the rack, I think it doesn't come with that. Just with a single arm that extends from the rack. You might want the flying pull up bar or soninex has something similar with band hooks. If you haven't bought a squat stand yet I would buy a yoke instead.

    Follow up. I have had a similar setup as this for a couple of years now. Many benches do have issues getting close enough if you want a dual role for using rack for incline bench. Also low rows destroy the cable on the rhino overtime. This is the one thing I would not do here. However you can do a standing bent over row with no effects on cable. Other than this it has been more then worth the money in my opinion.

      I have monster and standalone rhino and while the idea is cool it doesn't add alot of function or save much space for me. My basement has some support poles so hard to fit a large device and easy to to fit several not so big and long devices... I think the lat pulldown setup would get old for me. Ordered a standalone... Slinger sounds cool in a gadget Swiss army knife sort of way but in reality separate units almost always work better.

  • @agave.journey

    I've tinkered with the idea of building a rack for both barbell work and calisthenics movements. I can't wait to see your dip attachment. Most I see for racks are the matador style bars which is great for dips but if I wanted to work on other movements it doesn't work very well. I would prefer seeing parallel bars with enough space to do handstands and l-sit to handstand movements. Maybe I should sit down and use my engineering skills to actually design what I would consider the most versatile power rack.

    Rogue rhino with rack + lever arms + leg curls + monster slinger + one top crossmember + multi grip pull-up bar + 2 storage pegs.
    This setup will cost roughly $4,850 if you go with all rogue stuff. Plus whatever the collegiate legs will cost.

    It's a frankenrack :D This is awesome! Looks like you could also do assisted pull-ups if you used the slinger in reverse?

      all the parts and prices readily available...on rogue site. no idea on the prime chin bar but the rest is easy to figure out. take out the jammer arms and the prime and its maybe 4k or so. its not muc different than if bought the stuff separately as there arent alot of additional parts needed. I have monster half rack and rhino, and the rogue rotating chin bar, front feet, spotter arms, ...its about 600 bucks with shipping for me to switch out the monster half rack crossmembers for longer ones and thats about it. adds no real function, just looks so cool.

    Hey Coop. Can you tell me how you attached the freestanding belt squat to your rack? Did you replace the stabilizer feet with crossmembers? Trying to build the ultimate rack like you!

    It would be nice if they had a drop in option for just the rhino weight tower and handle. Frame that releases the weights to be used with removable platforms made by black widow that way the interior of the rack could be freed up when you remove the platforms also. It could be used with a rogue squat stand as well for those without much space

    From far away that coop sign looks legit but up close at 15:10 you can tell you made it by hand with the materials you said lol.

    Love the videos & your rack creation. I just bought the RM6 rack from Rogue . I’m waiting for the Trolly arms and Rhino to become available so I can get them ordered. I’m already on the list lol. Question, Do all Sorinex attachments work in the Rogue ? Besides for this 2. Do you have any other recommendations?

    you can create some kind of chest harness attachment for your dips. Similar to a tree harness for ladder stand for hunting.
