This guy is an amazing talent..........pulled together a bass line, drums, keyboards and rhythm in two minutes, played lead guitar and had a passer by do the singing...........Fantastic. My compliments to your talent Sir !!

I just came across this video and was amazed at how quickly he put the arrangements together. He then handed the microphone off and cut back to the single beat. I am not sure where in my heart it came from but the tears started flowing. I'm 59, was a Alaska commercial fishermen for many years, work in construction, and hunt. A guys guy. Maybe the War in Ukraine that just started has something to do with them(tears). I remember this happening only one other time years ago by husband and wife street musicians. Boy, does music move. I disagree. He deserves at least 95% of the credit. Without the musical talent and skill of the musician, the vocalist would never have been heard. I get tired of the vocalist always getting all, or most, of the credit and the ones that worked their asses of to master their instruments being left behind. Me? I'm a singer, but also one that knows music and instrumentalists very, very well as I have been in the business since the mid 70's. I retired in March after a year of waiting for things to open up after Covid put us out of work.
At least you did credit the musician, which very few seem to do these days, and for that I am grateful.

The tone of his guitar starting right around 6:35 just after he cuts from the shred and goes into the lower part of the fret board around the A section sounds so good. I save this video just as a tone reference because this moment is so wonderful to my ears

This was SOOOOO uplifting, I think I was smiling through the whole performance. A beautiful girl with a beautiful, sweet voice and a guy who is not only talented but has real “energy.” And looking at the smiles of all the strangers stopping to listen and really obviously enjoying it all-reminds me of what we should all do more of. 😃 Smile!

Following him quite some time now one thing I have noticed is his beautiful spirit. Never once have I heard him discouraging anyone who wants to share what talent they have and he does his best to draw out that talent to make people sound their best! Dovydas has been in inspiration to me ever since the first video I have watched of him. Keep sharing the joy of music!
“Katie and the Das” = Class A synergy. When I ran across this on TH-cam and heard Kates's voice together with the one known as “DOVYDAS” who hit those Journey riffs like a Chuck Berry Johnny B Goode doppelgänger, I had visions of David Gilmore and Dovydas greatness all through my head!

For something as spontaneous as this, you have to genuinely admire both their skills and talents. Two complete strangers crossing paths gifting those who were extremely fortunate to witness this live event in person. Glad it's on TH-cam because this is what I call music for the heart and soul. Older songs like this brings back the cherished memories, in a world full of misery and uncertainty.

I’m so thrilled to see “my generations” music resonates with young people today. The looks on the faces young to old reminds me of why my head exploded the first time I heard Steve Perry belt that song out in 1981 on FM radio. I don't know whether she steals the show or not, but I think the guitarist is amazing. He practically set all the necessary background music all by himself, plus doing all the killer riffs on his guitar.

Yep John you right, the guy is good. Listen 2 his clip covering Lynnard Skinnards Simple Man. Beats this 1 hands down, the girl wasn't bad but she's not familiar with how Journey arranged the high notes. Hard 2 cover Steve Perry. The man singing in Simple Man has a voice that rivals VanSants. The guitarist really feeds off him & it shows. He knew he had found a real singer with a unique voice. They timed perfectly & so clean making you think it was a studio recording.

@@spartan11mcxbox because if you play and sing yourself you'd know that this isn't in anyway shape or form just been suddenly done, I know this song like the back of my hand and it wasn't the original score, there was too much variation in key, no way can you sing that unless you knew it already, it was definitely staged

Wow! This takes a classic to another level and modernizes it. They both crushed it. There are more great artists out there today than ever before. Just because you don't hear them on the radio everyday doesn't mean they aren't out there. Without the internet, you wouldn't know about stuff like this.
