Roll back capability is always a +1 in my book. Yeah, the splice is ugly but not much you can do less than finding a totally spare set of connectors to make a conversion harness which is serious work.

Just watched David's video @thatdudeinblue of this EG coupe and fell in love with everything you've done!
I have an EJ2 with a jdm GSR swap, and have always wanted to do this cluster swap! Thank you for the tutorial on how to do this!
Much love and many smiles with school girl giggles!!!

I don’t remember how, but if you google it you can switch the s2000 cluster to show mph. It as simple as clicking 2 buttons I believe

I like cutting the wire a bit father back on the harness and crimping on blade connectors whenever I want to be able to go back to what it originally was. They can get pricey and bulky though.

Can you just unpin the wire from the car harness and pin in into the s2k connected instead of doing the wrapping? Just curios if it's an option or not?

    • @shotbyhoodie4683

Awesome video! I just received my AP1 cluster today. What i did is get a secondary EG dash harness (you can get it out a EG in less then 10 min) and solder the AP1 cluster to that. If i ever wanna go back to stock, i just reinstall the original harness.
BTW can you explain to me how i have to hookup the Modifry on a D15B2 OBD-0 EG4?
Some says i can use the wires at the gauge, some say i have to tap into the ECU wires.
    Thanks!

  • @IcemanJD08

Is it not possible to take the pin out of the original connector and put it into the new one? If you do that then you have a temporary solution that is also a better connection

Was there any modification done to fuel gauge for it to read accurately? I did this cluster swap on Honda EK and found the fuel gauge wan't reading accurately. In-fact it shows full and once the tank is at 25% then the gauge starts to move.

  • @LSRxJ

  • @sonvu5374

I finally did this to my 96 ek with the wireworx, plugged in all the harness and tapped the 5 plugs for the back light, signals, and highbeam indicators, its lights up perfectly and works as it should, rpm works as well but the speedometer, fuel, and temp gauge is not reading, ktuner converter is not installed yet because its on back order, is that the reason why?

Im a little late, but if you wanted to be able to go back to the stock cluster, why not just get the male pins, throw them in the plug, and tape it up that way? Then you wouldnt have had to worry about re pinning the stock plug when you switch back

Yeah I’m sure he did it so he can go back to sell the car or to even swap it with another car. But no. You won’t get bored of this cluster. I have it in my EK and I would never go back to stock.
