In the Avial, a souring agent is required. We can use raw mango. Usually not using coconut milk but coarsely grinded paste of coconut, cumin and jeera. Few vegetables are missing - ash guard (any water based veg)

i have also visited kerala but ate only dosa dosa dosa dosa and idli and got bored but also ate tasty food in Vasupujya Jain bhojanshala which was nones cup of tea like jain dos
I'm a Tamizhian but without oil or you can use original coconut oil to be a pure vegan. We add benģl grams or dry roasted peanuts to enhance the taste. You will feel crunchy in ur mouth.
We add yougurt or curd to the avial and we also add coconut water and cooked rice puree alittle bit to the batter for fermanenting and use hand to mixing the batter it will make the batter fluffy spongy after 10 hours later
We also add a bit of ginger while grinding coconut. Also instead of coconut milk, we add some yogurt at the end after you switch off the stove. It gives a slightly tangy taste.

Foods that have gluten, a sticky, glue-y protein (opposite of Gluten free foods) are yet another subset of plant based that are found in rye, barley, and wheat. The recipes you covered in this video happen to gluten free! ...in addition to being vegan! Why gluten-free? Folks with Celiac disease cannot consume any gluten and there are others who are gluten sensitive having digestive problems with gluten in foods (such as in wheat, the most common). I think you are doing a wonderful job of bringing out sattvic qualities in foods and environment. The food ingredients, the kitchen appliances, utensils, etc are of the highest quality, the way it ought to be, and the presentation is just perfect! Interestingly, on ekadashi days, although a total abstinence of foods is the best to keep the mind calm and focused on krishna, but not everyone can handle a total fast (nirjala upavas-a). For those who feel they have to eat something, none of the grains are recommended, but certain foods are allowed, such as fruits, tapioca, singhora flour (water chestnut). Perhaps there is something here... for a future video?

For binding isbogol is generally used but if instead of isbogol if soaked flaxseed paste if used possible would be best healthiest version. As flaxseed raise great nutrition in the bread and oil requirement of dough is also fulfilled possibly through flaxseed may be no separatly oil is required to add. Inspired by your recipes, I made satvic bengali recipes too. Shukto is most cooked in Bengali homes which has mixed veggies like bittergourd, drumstick, carrots, potatoes, okra and green banana. I boiled all the veggies in water with okra going in last along with litttle radhuni(caraway seeds). For masala, I made a paste of soaked yellow and back mustard seeds, roasted white sesame seeds, coconut, green chilly and half teaspoon shukto masala powder. Added this paste when the veggies were cooked and very little water remaining and turned off the flame to steam for 10mins. It turned out to be better than traditional shukto recipe. Thank you for introducing new and healthy cooking style.

There are plenty of Satvic recipes already available in Tamil tradition food. Please explore into that. For example, Thuvayal is a chutney made with different kinds of leaves and vegetables and eaten along with rice. It is less of protein but rich in vitamins and minerals. Porial is vegetables eaten along with rice as side dish for rice. Even there are variety of dhals (people know only Toor dhal and chana dhal mostly, but there are variety of deals like Horse gram, Karamani etc) cooked in a simple, Satvic way. Pachadi is raw salads made in traditional way. I recommend you to explore and experience the health benefits and flavor of them. Appreciating the good work.

South Indian satvik recipes are different from north... authentic srivaishnavas foods are considered as sathvik...only country vegetables are allowed ( yam, pumpkin both yellow n white, bitter gourd, snake guard, broad beans cluster beans, plantain,banana stem,banana flower, brinjal , ) Only these veggies considered satvik here and food prepared using these and offered to perumal and then taken as prasadham...
South Indian recipes are healthier in its own way.. why are you changing the way it is already passed on to so many generations.... Don't influence wrong stuff to the people
Avial we don’t use coconut milk, we use grated coconut, ginger, green chili, small onions, jeera and few curry leaves for the nice aroma ..grind it all corse. Cook veggies, turmeric n salt..once it’s cooked add the coconut paste, bleed yogurt n add that in the last n let it come to a quick rolling boil. Season with mustard, red dry chili n curry leaves.

We make a lot of veggi curries without oil since ever no thadka at all...v cook lil tor dal when its half cooked add in tomato n onion (optional)n vegetable(drum sticks, gaurds or any of choice) grind coconut with byadgi chillies.once vegetable is cooked add jaggery (opt) ground coconut paste.boil for just 2 mins..serve wd brown boiled rice.... This recipe is served on every day basis since ever still going on

Inspired by your recipes, I made satvic bengali recipes too. Shukto is most cooked in Bengali homes which has mixed veggies like bittergourd, drumstick, carrots, potatoes, okra and green banana. I boiled all the veggies in water with okra going in last along with litttle radhuni(caraway seeds). For masala, I made a paste of soaked yellow and back mustard seeds, roasted white sesame seeds, coconut, green chilly and half teaspoon shukto masala powder. Added this paste when the veggies were cooked and very little water remaining and turned off the flame to steam for 10mins. It turned out to be better than traditional shukto recipe. Thank you for introducing new and healthy cooking style.

Hi Satvic Team, looking forward to your other south indian yummy dishes such as - idli sambar, puliogree, coconut rice, rice sambar, rice rasam, bisibelebath & north indian recepies like pulavs, gravies, curries etc.
There are plenty of Satvic recipes already available in Tamil tradition food. Please explore into that. For example, Thuvayal is a chutney made with different kinds of leaves and vegetables and eaten along with rice. It is less of protein but rich in vitamins and minerals. Porial is vegetables eaten along with rice as side dish for rice. Even there are variety of dhals (people know only Toor dhal and chana dhal mostly, but there are variety of deals like Horse gram, Karamani etc) cooked in a simple, Satvic way. Pachadi is raw salads made in traditional way. I recommend you to explore and experience the health benefits and flavor of them. Appreciating the good work.

South Indian satvik recipes are different from north... authentic srivaishnavas foods are considered as sathvik...only country vegetables are allowed ( yam, pumpkin both yellow n white, bitter gourd, snake guard, broad beans cluster beans, plantain,banana stem,banana flower, brinjal , )
Only these veggies considered satvik here and food prepared using these and offered to perumal and then taken as prasadham...

Avial we don’t use coconut milk, we use grated coconut, ginger, green chili, small onions, jeera and few curry leaves for the nice aroma ..grind it all corse. Cook veggies, turmeric n salt..once it’s cooked add the coconut paste, bleed yogurt n add that in the last n let it come to a quick rolling boil. Season with mustard, red dry chili n curry leaves.

We make a lot of veggi curries without oil since ever no thadka at all...v cook lil tor dal when its half cooked add in tomato n onion (optional)n vegetable(drum sticks, gaurds or any of choice) grind coconut with byadgi chillies.once vegetable is cooked add jaggery (opt) ground coconut paste.boil for just 2 mins..serve wd brown boiled rice....
This recipe is served on every day basis since ever still going on
