I gained 50lbs in my first pregnancy most of it at the end! I was 25lbs lighter leaving the hospital 2 days after giving birth. Towards the end you retain a lot of fluid! The rest of the weight fell off by 6 weeks postpartum. Definitely dont stress out too much if you're eating healthy and exercising! Your body knows what it needs ♥️
Thanks for this! I told my doctor this morning I am no longer concerned with my weight gain and was looking to affirm that I'm not crazy for not being worried lol. I started at 157. I stayed there until I was 24 weeks. At my next visit I was 29 weeks, weighing 165 and she was concerned ( I don't feel like 7 ibs in 5 weeks is bad?) . Now at 32 weeks i measured 172 and she started discussing my diet, BUT I'm a vegetarian and I spend at least an hour outside with my kiddo each day. Aside from that, nausea and heartburn are returning so I can't eat consistently. I know that I'm struggling with constipation from my iron supplement, and I'm started to get swelling. I don't feel so worried about weigh because of that lol. 15 pounds by 32 weeks isn't bad to me!
This was very encouraging! Thank you for sharing your insights about pregnancy weight gain. I had my first third trimester appointment today and left it feeling really discouraged. It is my first pregnancy reaching this far and started out at 112lbs. I'm only 5ft. Today I weighed 143lbs., I don't have swelling so far thankfully and my OB says while looking at me head to toe, "where is all that weight going? It's definitely not the baby" lol I'm trying my best to exercise and eat as nutritiously as possible but I felt like I didn't do anything right after the way she spoke to me. If you were my provider I probably left encouraged instead of in tears. I feel much better now after watching your video so thank you. Taking all your tips to heart and hoping that the 3rd trim (due in January 2021) will be a healthy one both for me & baby. God bless! -Love from California
These are good tips if you are having a lot of junk food cravings. I think weight gain is an issue only if you are eating junk all the time because you might be missing nutrients and experience even more fatigue. Im not concerned anymore about weight gain, I'm not exercising anymore due to shortness of breath, I take an occasional walk here and there. A bad bout of fatigue and struggling with bipolar disorder, and demands at work. Im taking a medication that tends to cause weight gain. So I'm doing the best to eat well for me and baby and relax. My pregnancy has been very taxing and i'm not adding more stress by freaking out about weight gain. I hate when i hear people brag they only gained 3lbs during pregnancy, women start comparing themselves and its ridiculous. I'm in the 3rd trimester and have gained 40lbs, everyone is different. Don't stress ladies, get your rest while you can!😉
I gained 44 pounds with my son, 30 of which happened in the third trimester! By two weeks postpartum, all but seven pounds were gone. Some people just retain more water than others.
Breastfeeding didn’t allow me to lose any weight. I BF my baby for 22 months. When i stopped breastfeeding in three months i was down 25 lbs. I guess breastfeeding is not a weight loss method.
I started at 122 and am 24 weeks and 145. I eat extremely healthy and work out 4 days a week at the gym. I’m so confused by the quick weight gain. Hoping it’s mostly fluid/blood volume
I gained 50+lbs with each pregnancy and I had 4! I started with a normal bmi and now pregnant with #5 I really don’t want to gain all that weight again but I literally can’t control it. The good news is I always lost all the weight but I just want to look cute and skinny with only a big belly like all these other ladies I see! Not me I look fat all over especially legs, arms & face 😅
I’m 30 wks and haven’t gained weight. My weight shifts between 183-186lbs. I started at 195lbs but got very sick in my first trimester during this covid stuff and lost 13 lbs. my doctors are okay with the no weight gain as long as baby is still growing. I’ve found it to be possible not to gain excessive amount if you’re conscious of what you eat. Because of my PCOS I follow a low carb sometimes more low GI diet.
So healthy before pregnancy, I ate well, lost 45 lbs , vegetarian, worked out regularly and then got pregnant and I'm just sooooooo tired and not sleeping well, I get so sick if I don't eat. So I eat. I'm only 8 weeks and gained 5 lbs. I'm so exhausted all the time :( I work two jobs for about 50 hours per week and have two other children . I still trying to figure this all out and not gain as much as I did with my other two children.
I'm 100 was doing vegetarian diet now I found out I'm 8 weeks pregnant , Im so happy but so scared to gain weight and just like u I feel hungry sick and tired all the time 😭
I am a plus size woman and I am proud of myself because I have not gained alot of weight. My weight is steady even before pregnancy because I don't overeat anymore. My baby has put me on a few pounds since my 2nd trimester. I don't believe in overrating for my baby because his dad is slim and thin so I know my baby would be the same. I am officially 27 weeks 3rd trimester!!! And I am getting a little sad and frustrated with myself because I feel like I need to be eating a little more then I do. I can go hours when I am busy without eating and that's what I did yesterday, so now I find myself up at 2 in the morning eating an apple and banana because I am hungry and have a kicking baby. However the foods that I eat get me pretty full without overrating, I know my baby is getting all the good nutrients he needs, but I'm feeling like a bad mama already. 😢
Not Today Lady your doing your best , if your hungry eat! Cut out the soda or sweet tea eat the food you want in smaller portion , drink lots of water and go for 20 min walks around your street. Best of luck
When I got preg I was 96 kg n I lost 4kg during pregnancy. I’ve only gained 0.5kg n I’m 7m preg. I’m not normal weight I was 92kg after 7m I’m 92.5kg. My bmi is 41 so I’m obese! I’m hoping to lose 2.5kg in the next 12 weeks n give birth at 90.
Its difficult for me because I lose weight in pregnancy. My first 2 I lost about 5 or 6 lbs in the first trimester and remained pretty small up until 6-7 months and I blew up! Now with my 3rd baby so far I have lost about 13lbs and Im 14 weeks. Dr. doesnt seem too concerned but I am because I dont want to gain a massive amount of weight towards the end of my pregnancy this go round
tieara johnson Same and it's not even from morning sickness. I have noticed when I'm pregnant I make food choices based on nurturing the baby and I loose weight because I'm getting less calories from the same amount of food I would normally eat. My last pregnancy I only gained 10 lbs and at 15 weeks this pregnancy I've lost 3 lbs. I assume I'll probably gain around 10 again.
You can’t beat yourself up about weight gain but you can make sure it is healthy weight gain. Eat real food. I mean healthy whole grain, fruits and veggies. Stay away from carbs, fast food, sweet and processed foods as much as possible!
I'm at 6 weeks, I was 5'8 and 135lbs before I got pregnant and I lost 2 lbs due to nausea and not finding most foods appetizing (not vomiting). This started mildly in my 4th week and has just gotten worse. I started tracking my food in week 4 and up until this week I've been hitting close to my normal intake. I'm worried about losing weight if the nausea gets worse.
With my first pregnancy I lived on French fries and steamed broccoli for 4 months because that’s all I could keep down! So I definitely understand the food aversion!
I always stay there exact same weight during pregnancy but that's only because I barff up every single thing I eat. I'm pregnant now and gaining every with being sick. It's crazy! Lol
At first I didn't gain any weight I actually lost weight but then I slowly gained 10 lbs then all the sudden I gained 10 lbs in like one month and some how I've gained about 5-7 lbs so I've gained 25 lbs total already and I'm 31 weeks. I feel like I don't need to gain anymore. I can clearly see all this weight has gone straigh to my ass and thighs and arms but I'm not even that big like my belly is not that big I only started showing at about 27 weeks. So it's weird. I don't know why my body would gain so much fat. I'm not overeating or under-eating and I'm drinking tons and tons of water. I just thought it was strange.
Oh my God, I am pregnant and I am gaining a little too much weight. You are supposed to gain 25 to 35 lbs while pregnant if you were a normal weight range prior to getting pregnant, which I was. I am 35 weeks pregnant and I have already gained 39 lbs.
Hmmm I'm still in the first trimester but the nausea and morning sickness have already made me lose three pounds. Im at a 28 bmi though, so I'm technically overweight--hoping it's okay. I always thought getting pregnant I would be hungry and eat everything but I get full fast. I read that for women who start out overweight it's okay for them to maintain their weight instead of gain--is this true??? I haven't been to my first obgyn yet, I found out last week, so I haven't been able to ask my doctor.
I started around 50 kg and now that i am 23 weeks I'm already 57.5 kg. Is it too much gain weight? Im only 155 cm, I often eat healthy but sometimes I need to drink soda which I don't usually drink when I was pregnant. I also go for a walk at least 4 times a week.
Yep! Constipation would make me several pounds heavier than I actually was. When I was able to correct that, I was able to see what my true steady weight gain was in pregnancy.
I’m 18 weeks and gained 10lbs and I was asked not to gain anything or max 5lbg till 20 weeks. Got to stop that crazy gaining? It’s my second pregnancy and with the first one I gained 55lbg 😢went to premature labor!
I am slothful and not patient enough to stick to any fitness program that requires months for result. Weight loss was really a difficult job , in my opinion. Till the day I learned the strange strategies to burn fat the quickest way with out rigorous diet or exhausted exercise routine. I shed 11 pounds within a month and successfully keep unwanted fat off for years currently.

I have been on bed rest from start as well, the only thing I am doing is having smaller meals and drinking lots of fluids. If you feel hungry, try to eat fruits and lots of salads rather than unhealthy snacks. I gained a total of 8 lbs and I am on my week 20.
So if I’m not adding on calories, I’m not eating enough, so actually going to gain? I always packed weight on quickly, but would always lose it after. But still I’d like to not have to
I am not eating and I am have in a baby and i don't want to eat that much i just want like cake pizza but no food and I losing weight cat u plz tell me y is that
I am pregnant my 5 child I am always hungry even if I finished my food 5 minutes ago I never gain weight more than 6 kilograms ask my pregnancy but I feel like this is different I ate 7 times a day big food I am so scared maybe I am not normal. I am doing exercise 3 times a week. I am okay with everything but the hunger is killing I am 15 weeks only and I already gain weight from 58-62 which is 4 pounds I don't want to be more than 66 my all pregnancy. What should I stop this hunger plz help
Same...i am always ready to eat...i always feel like i crave something but i dont know what...so i go...search the kitchen for anything that i might want and eat what i find...than feel horrible...it's impossible not to gain much weight this way but i just can't control this...hunger.
Hi! I just want to ask because I'm on my 33 weeks and already have a big baby inside my belly but I only gained 10 pounds because I'm controlling it but my OB said if the baby continuous to grow until my due date, his estimate weight will be around 4.5 kg. What I'm worrying about is I'm a petite woman and it's difficult to deliver big babies if you are small. Do you have any advice to control the baby from becoming too big. I also don't have gestational diabetis.
Easy...don't eat anymore than what you did before with the exception of enough regulatory nutrition to compensate for your growing baby. Your doctor will help you or if you are fortunate, your dietician. A baby only weighs approx. 8 lbs (average) at birth. It can't digest 4 cheeseburgers and 2 lbs of chocolate covered pickles nor a whole turkey. My friends who are mother's tell me its all about controlling your hormones and urges just like men have to everyday. They also say going from 115 lbs to 280 to 300 lbs to have a baby is false traditionalism and extreme laziness. I have to agree because they are women and i'm not. I believe them because neither of them gained 200 lbs while pregnant. Im male but still got chubby from overeating. But that was me being lazy and not controlling myself. Had to work out to get it back. And everyone of you women can too! I have faith in you.
Its still amaze me just how many people have no clue about Okibetonic Secrets although many people using it. Thanks to my personal buddy who told me about it. I have lost a ton of fat.
Can I walk for 30 mins if my placenta has now moved upto 3.5 mm from cervix . I am 16 weeks pregnant now, earlier it covered the cervix so I was not walking or exercising.
+Neeru Rawat I dont believe you should because it's still in the process of moving away and thats ideally what you want for the pathway of your cervix to be clear for the baby's delivery. 30 mins would be too much. Stick to 15 darling. I am under the same condition and My opinion comes from tonnes of research and couple of different professional consultations. Hope this helps!
Tori Janine Fetuiai it's not hard at all to resist cravings once you have willed through the worse. I compromised by eating some vegetables and drinking water. In the beginning it was a little hard but I refused to yield to it and have not had a problem since.
As a clinical dietitian, it’s advised to eat the same amount and ONLY add 350 in the last trimester
Its even harder to see the numbers rise when your already over weight,
Exactly!
Yessss
I thought the video was about and overweight girl being pregnant. Not happy with the video
Yes. I wish she would have addressed overweight people gaining more weight. Like myself.
@@yasniely I mean you guys are OVERWEIGHT what do you expect?

Dude. My boobs have to be at least 5 of the pounds I’ve gained. And I know for sure fluids and blood volume increase accounts for weight gain.

Me too. For me no food tastes at all.
..... I just eat the minimum a bit of protein, red meat, beverage, milk....
I’m 37 weeks and I’ve only gained 10 lbs total.
Thats amazing, how did you do this 🥰❤

I started at 138 and I’m 184 WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THIS IS CRAZYYYYYY
I have 9 weeks to go help 😭😭😭
Eat less!
I gained 7lbs in total my last pregnancy. I was only 5lbs overweight prepregnancy. Was smaller after pregnancy.
I’m 5’2 130 so my BMR is 1300 with no exercise while not pregnant.
I'm 31 weeks I gain 13 pounds so far but my baby is very healthy
RA A thats awesome! 😁 would you always eat super healthy??
That's amazing well done 💕
Hmmm I'm still in the first trimester but the nausea and morning sickness have already made me lose three pounds. Im at a 28 bmi though, so I'm technically overweight--hoping it's okay. I think it's not about to eat more calories , it's about to eat the right calories.
I believe this too! Eat the right calories and listen to the body!
I am in the same boat. I didn't gain but 2 pounds in 1st trimester. 2nd trimester gained 11 pounds ! I think its constipation too. The struggle😪
I've been researching into stopping drinking and found an awesome resource at Sebs Magic Tactic (google it if you are interested)
Try and eat healthy and drink lots of water. You'll loose some weight after you have baby. I've gained 30 pounds im 37 weeks.
Wow my doctor never told me that during my pregnancy . I was gaining alot of weight during my last 3 months
Me too it's sad
what type of exercise i can do in my first month of pregnancy?
Do you need to eat extra calories from the beginning even if you feel full or towards the middle of trimester 2?
My wife only gained 5 pounds and she is 24 weeks! She eat normal and walks every day.
I try to eat under 1,000 calories a day and i go for walks sometimes.
I'm 19w 5d I went to my appointment today and I lost 3lbs which means I only have a total weight gain of 7lbs
I'm 30 weeks and I've gained 45 pounds. I was 110 before I got pregnant. Is that too much because I still have 10 weeks
Aylerish Yes.
It depends on your height and if you were underweight to begin with.
You're fine .
So if I’m not adding on calories, I’m not eating enough, so actually going to gain? I always packed weight on quickly, but would always lose it after. But still I’d like to not have to
I have only gain 4 pounds 31 week pregnancy and 3 day I am type 2 diabetes and take insulin and metformin is that normal I only drink water doe
What if the mothers BMI is 50 does she still need to gain weight?
If i ate the exact number of cals i need, by the end of pregnancy will i lose ex5a weight with no trying
I am not eating and I am have in a baby and i don't want to eat that much i just want like cake pizza but no food and I losing weight cat u plz tell me y is that

Hi! I just want to ask because I'm on my 33 weeks and already have a big baby inside my belly but I only gained 10 pounds because I'm controlling it but my OB said if the baby continuous to grow until my due date, his estimate weight will be around 4.5 kg. I just found out I’m pregnant 4weeks today . I used to walk a lot before , should I stop thinking it’s too early or should I continue now?
shruti ramesh definitely continue, it’s really good during pregnancy xx

Hi
Can I walk for 30 mins if my placenta has now moved upto 3.5 mm from cervix . I am 16 weeks pregnant now, earlier it covered the cervix so I was not walking or exercising.
+Neeru Rawat I dont believe you should because it's still in the process of moving away and thats ideally what you want for the pathway of your cervix to be clear for the baby's delivery. 30 mins would be too much. Stick to 15 darling. I am under the same condition and My opinion comes from tonnes of research and couple of different professional consultations. Hope this helps!
Thanks Rai Moh

fit4ya1975 obviously you haven't been pregnant, it's called cravings some cravings are really strong.
Tori Janine Fetuiai it's not hard at all to resist cravings once you have willed through the worse. I compromised by eating some vegetables and drinking water. In the beginning it was a little hard but I refused to yield to it and have not had a problem since.
I like I soooo much😙
