@2:30 beginning tips. 1- Mindset (you are not eating for two) 2-Water 3- Exercise more 4- Portion control ( you can still give in to your cravings but portion control esp. carbs).
I think of the “eating for two” like this. You ARE eating for two, meaning that you have to think of somebody else, not just yourself, while eating. Your choices are effecting two people. Not eating double the food.
ConfidentMuzicTalks No soda, little to no sugar and very little carbs. I also switched to organic if I do eat carbs like bread. It’s little changes every day also at least 75 ounces of water and I take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and juice one lemon everyday (I mix the ACV in with 25 ounces of water and the lemon then I add a 1/2 a tablespoon of truvia) stevia) that’s what helps the most drink it every day. I learned to love it. But mainly I have been slowly changing my diet and not eating out which is what does the trick. If you look at processed foods and deep fried food as poison and not food then it’s not so hard to avoid them. I stay away from all oils except olive oil and coconut. So I am looking at all the labels and have dropped soy as well and I know that is what’s helping. It’s been a journey I got very sick two years ago so overtime I have been learning what foods are truly good for you and what foods though labeled healthy are actually bad. I like to listen to informational stuff in my spare time to learn and refresh (all health related) this is my second baby and I was six months postpartum when I got pregnant so my body wasn’t very happy with me getting pregnant so fast. I have leveled out at 268 and am praying to maintain that at least until he arrives then hopefully loose more. It really is one day one moment at a time reminding yourself to make the right choices. Easier said then done. and I try to eat good 80% of the time and give myself 20% breathing room.
Girl that's great! Unfortunately I have gained almost 10 pounds In 3 months now I know that 2 of those months was due to choclate lol but my start weight was 224 and I'm currently 230..I wanted to cry. I began dieting/juggling trying to eat more proteins and fats to make up for what I'm burning by doing daily 20 min excersise... but I'm not seeing any changes. I really hope to go down
Lady's Things I would love to hear how you doing after birth. I’m 5’5 and 306 and Iam obese and only 4 months preggo.. I don’t wanna gain no more than 10 lbs.. I Look 8 months already😩😩
I had the similar results mostly due to food aversions...but when I gave birth, I was the exact same weight I started with, no pounds gained...so far I’m on target for the same results for my current pregnancy but I still have 13 weeks to go.
Okay guys, so I'm 5'5 5 weeks pregnant Starting weight 197 My goal is to maintain the weight and stay healthy. I shall update you every month. I'll be back March 21!
You are the answer to my prayers! I'm 5"6 210lbs, and 7 weeks pregnant and I am so desperate to not get bigger, in fact I need to lose weight because I am already having health issues! Thank you for this!!!
My first trimester I lost 10 lbs and now I have been the same weight and I am 26 weeks. Just eating healthy and keeping a pretty active job is helping me not gain anything.
Jenny Benny I lost 10 pounds during the 1st trimester naturally. Most women tend to lose 5-15 pounds before they even know they're pregnant. Once people find out their pregnant they tend to eat more than they need. If you don't you may not gain to much weight if any.
Fill up on veggies: brussel sprouts, broccoli, green beans, cabbage salad, regular salads, sauteed squash/zucchini/tomatoes mixes, and veggie soup (peel-a-pound is my favorite).
Whenever someone offers me dessert I say “I’m on the ‘don’t get gestational diabetics diet’.” And then they become supportive and don’t argue with me or try to temp me into it. It’s like the perfect thing to say because everyone knows how bad gestational diabetics is.
I’m type 1 diabetic and I honestly think this is great. No offense to gestational diabetes women but type 1 and being pregnant is absolutely nerve wracking...I am 10 weeks and 3 days and I’m still terrified I will miscarry I’m holding my breath until my next appointment at 13 weeks and 6 days...
I'm so proud of you! I don't know why people get upset about overweight ladies trying to lose weight during pregnancy... The baby will take what it needs...
That's because it's bad for your child. It's like smoking and drinking in pregnancy it's bad for the baby so people don't really make videos on how to drink and smoke in your pregnancy or how to loose weight. You just DON'T do it .
I’ve lost 30lbs from my prepregnancy weight And I’m 6 months pregnant. I worked out for an hour per day high intensity workout and ate 1500 calories per day. Now I’m so far along I need to slow down the workouts and my weight loss has slowed to 1lbs per week.
@@sarahasan7299 it’s sort of complicated but also simple in a way. . .well I stuffed myself with fruit 🍉 in the mornings and veggies at night. No matter WHAT I ate and how fattening it was I always made sure 50% of the plate was veg. (So keep prewashed salad in the fridge plus any pickled salads you like, in the fridge) When I craved something “bad” such as pasta I would make sure it included equal parts vegetables. So I would make mushroom garlic zucchini olive oil bow tie pasta and eat it with a half plateful of salad. The third thing I did was realize everything I was craving was either salty and savory, or sweet or Carby. So that made it easy to substitute fast food burgers for salty cheese and crackers with prosciutto. It’s a very salty snack and hit the spot. The fourth thing was drinking at least 2 glasses of milk per day plus having yogurt and string cheese snacks to prevent binges. And one glass of milk was always with dinner. I hope this serves you well because it DOES work. If you have fruit then if still hungry granola yogurt then if still hungry oatmeal you give yourself healthy road bumps. Then for lunch do pasta with veggies then for dinner do fish or chicken breast with equal parts veggies, you’ll be golden. I’m actually in my last month or so now according to my doc( in my original post I assumed 6 months because I didn’t know I was pregnant until in my 3rd trimester due to only having 3 periods for all of 2020) and I’m still losing half a pound per week while the baby is growing half to a full lbs per week. * and if you do eat naughty things, no matter what, Make the effort to serve fattening food with equal part veggies and you must eat all of the veggies 🥦
I’m considered morbidly obese, started doing intermittent fasting and I just found out I’m 3 weeks pregnant. I’ve lost 4 pounds this week, I do want to keep loosing weight and am torn about keeping the baby safe. I’m thankful for finding your post.
I'm so happy that I came across this video! I'm almost 5 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and feeling like crap because of my weight. I'm determined to grow a healthy baby and be on my way to a healthy BMI. I can do this!!!
I’m 5’0 and 190 pounds when i found out i was pregnant. I’m now 11 weeks and 195. I really want to lose weight during the pregnancy. This helped so much thank you !!
@@kassiev30 if your 5ft flat & 190 your definitely about 60/70 pnds overweight I’m the same height & pre pregnancy weight between 120-130 pnds & doctor says I’m at a great weight for my height try to be more active an hr a day would be great you can split it like go walking in the morning for 30 mins & 30 mins yoga middle of the day & you should be drinking 2 gallons of water a day & try not to over eat like she said we’re not eating for 2 ppl your eating for yourself & a little extra hope this helps
same! I know this is 2 years later but I just found out i'm pregnant about 9 weeks in and I started at 180 and now i'm 189... I really appreciate this video its opened my eyes and thank you for doing the taboo video for us. and @serinafelix8416 thank you for sharing as well
6 weeks at 180 and 5 ft 7 in. Was sooo wanting to lose some before getting pregnant but, God had other plans so here I am starting this journey. I do not want to get over 199! I think that is reasonable. Really hoping to lose some during, like you did, so I can be proud of the body I bring this baby home to. I’ll update here if anyone is interested. No more sugar. Less carbs. MORE WATER 💧 and some physical activity. Thank you for this video.
I know this video is old, but thankful to come across. I'm pregnant at 40 and extremely concerned with my weight gain prior. I'm walking a fine line between eating the correct balance of foods/nutrients and excercise. I am determined to be fit & healthy after this pregnancy for good. No going back to being overweight
Great video. I'm 16 lbs below pre-pregnancy weight. I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant, I simply changed the way I ate to make sure my baby girl was healthy
A TIP: I’ve heard that when you are craving something, eat it AFTER eating healthy nutrients. That way you don’t fill up on just cravings, but you also don’t deprive yourself. You can use it as a reward for a healthy choice! Also you can reward yourself with a nap or spa treatment if you can say no to cravings! (Also some cravings can be from a deficiency of certain vitamins or iron or something, so if you have a persistent one, maybe ask a doctor if you need a supplement or test.. otherwise they are pretty darn normal! :)
I think people misinterpret the “eating for two” thing. I think it means another being is depending on you for nutrition so you should eat healthy, not necessarily eat 2x the food. Thank you for this video! I am almost 11 weeks and am 20 pounds overweight and my back fat and belly fat are embarrassing. I look 8 months pregnant 😢
Dawg I wish I was only 20 lbs overweight lol. Ur at a better starting point than most of us trust. It was this or another video that said youre "eating for 1.1" lol. I liked that.
I love this video! I’m 20 weeks pregnant and started off at 310, went down to 305 and jumped up again recently to 310! I want to try getting into the 290s at least by delivery!
How come most doctors say you should expect to gain weight & that weight gain during pregnancy is healthy? You’re the only person I’ve seen comment recently so i’m going to ask you LOL.. I’ve wanted to lose the weight but I’ve been scared it will somehow hurt my baby
@@AllyRenea46 It’s generally not advised but if you’re very over weight or obese and as long as your doctor is okay with it, it’s perfectly safe to lose weight :) Its not recommended though if you’re not overweight, or barely at the overweight category though. My doctor gave me a safe amount of calories to consume during pregnancy while trying to lose weight.
I'm about 6weeks pregnant. 36yrs old. I'm 5'0" 264lbs. I started a ketogenic diet today. My doctor is on board. I'm hoping that changing my diet and my busy job (nurse) will help me drop weight. I'm shooting for 20lbs loss in my first trimester. 😄
Thank you so much!!!! I just moved into my second trimester and only gained 3 lbs! People keep yelling at me to stop working out and I just listen to what my doctor tells me. I hope I can be like you and STAY my weight through my whole pregnancy!
I recently found out that I was pregnant. This came at a time where I was trying to lose weight, wasn't sure what to do now that Im pregnant but thank you so much! gave me the courage to continue and do whats best for my newly forming baby!
I’m 5’ and weigh 180 lbs. I’m about 10 weeks pregnant. I know I weighed 175 about two months ago. So I gained about 5 lbs. I’m trying to stay active and eat healthy to not go over 200lb, but if my doctor recommends me too, then I’m okay with it. I know I’m overweight, I just hope my pregnancy goes well. This is my first pregnancy. 🤗
My husbands account, I was 231 at 27 weeks, diagnosed with gestational diabeties. Tomorrow I will be 32 weeks and I've dropped to 213 with diet (mostly just cut carbs to 100 a day) and continuing to exercise daily
I know I’m late lol. You’re SOOOOOOOO right about trying to keep/stay active. I wasn’t overweight at all when I got pregnant and I’ve gained so much from not being active and giving in to my pregnancy cravings, now that I’m in my second trimester and feeling a lot better I’m trying to get myself back on track again because I had a very strict routine before I got pregnant and was very fit and healthy and then when I got pregnant I went down hill so fast because I didn’t feel good at all. It’s very hard to manage weight and be pregnant but being in the second trimester really helps a lot, I hope my third trimester doesn’t mess things up for me. Oh and yes ! Water and juice and a lot of it.
it was so refreshing hearing you talk about this. this is my third pregnancy. it’s probably been my favorite and i think that’s from eating better and working out.
@@FatimaZahra-yl1jw my doctor told me I could continue working out just like I did before I found out I was pregnant. Just don’t try anything new, or heavier weights than what you’re use to, or anything we don’t feel comfortable with. If you’re starting from the beginning walks a good place to start. I did mostly running and yoga since that was what I was doing pre pregnancy
This is super helpful for me. I have lost 150 pounds and then found out I was pregnant before I could get to goal weight. I still need to lose about 25 pounds to be happy with my weight. Good to know I can achieve some of this over my pregnancy.
Girl, this video is everything to me right now! I'm in the first trimester, obese and a history of breast cancer (10 year survivor). Weight loss has been a life long struggle for me but after finding out about this little life i want to do it right. Been doing everything you've said here and happy I'm not alone! Thank you 😊
I am in the same boat!! I am now a 3 year survivor and am just about 8 weeks pregnant! I can't wait to incorporate this and make myself healthy for my baby!
Just adopt jeez. Rather almost kill a baby with your unhealthy habits than adopt someone else's baby that already exists. 10000 unwanted babies have been born since roe versus Wade and y'all want to be fat and unhealthy trying to bring new life into this world absolutely selfish you just heard yourself said I'm obese. But you opened your legs anyways huh
Thank you!! I got pregnant 9 months after having baby in 2021. Have not lost any of that baby weight. And now here I am 1st trimester and feeling like I can’t handle gaining a lot for the next 6 months. I will be choosing a healthier lifestyle. Working out and eating well
Thank you for making this video! I am 20lbs down from when I found out I was pregnant. I was very sick for several weeks, but overall I have been consciously making better food choices and trying to exercise more, it helps that this baby doesn't give me cravings for unhealthy foods 😁 I'm so tired of being big, and I really don't want gestational diabetes for this baby like I did with my first 2 kids. After this baby I want to just shed this extra weight. I don't even want to be skinny, just healthier. I started this at 5'3 and 236lbs, now 19 weeks and 216.
Thank you for this. Everything I’ve seen says don’t lose weight while pregnant. I’m 7 weeks with my 4th and last. I weigh 193 at 5’3”. I am the biggest I’ve ever been and I’m nearly 15 pounds heavier than I was at my max pregnancy weight with my previous 3. I’m determined to try and get healthy while pregnant. I want to be as fit as possible when I give birth.
I maintained the same weight during pregnancy, not because I was actively losing weight but because i couldn't eat until about 8months when I gained back my pre pregnancy weight. I could only eat watermelons and I ha morning sickness sometimes twice a day. My baby was still healthy. Shows our body can adapt, in certain situations.
I really needed this video. I’m not “overweight” “obese” but I’m bigger than I should be. I’m kinda tall at 5’10 and I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant and I weigh 184. I want to get back to 160 for my health and the health of my child.
I got pregnant before the holiday stretch and vacation trips, I’m shocked that I’m maintaining my weight through all the festivities. But you ladies encourage me to be able to lose during pregnancy! If I can’t lose weight during, I’ll take no weight gain as a total win!! 😊
Keep in mind that pregnant women should eat no fewer than 1,700 calories per day Some of the best exercises for pregnant women are: swimming walking gardening prenatal yoga andjogging
Yes we know we should be doing exercises we are aware but it’s so easy for men to say that when they have no idea what it feels like you have no idea what it’s like for every part of your body to ache. I used to run 30 miles every week now when I try to jog with my dogs I feel like my knees are going to break. So please sit the fuck down and quit acting like you males have any fucking idea what your talking about I’ll trust a male doctor that’s had a pregnant wife but not some dumb ass machismo infested men try to tell any pregnant woman what the fuck they should and shouldn’t be doing.
I'm confused. He literally didn't say anything mean. He just gave suggestions about types of exercises you may enjoy. He didn't say you have to exercise or you shouldn't be eating this or that. He wasn't condescending. He wasn't offensive or anything close to it. And keep in mind, some of the women commenting may have never been pregnant either so why be so ready to beat down on someone that wasn't even mean just because he has a penis. That's so odd.
1,700 calories a day is what you should be doing depending on your height and weight when not pregnant lol plz ask your ob what the recomendable caloric intake is before you even act like what he just said is even moderately correct. Women gain 15-28 lbs while pregnant. My weight gain has only been 20 and I eat at least 3,500 calories a day
He said no fewer hun. Not that you should only be consuming 1,700 calories a day. Whether he is right or not, his delivery was not rude at all. You just went off.
@@sharondalewis1620 I totally agree. Going on the treadmill or for a walk gets me feeling so much better. As soon as I sit down I feel so sick. My husband thinks I'm crazy. But it's true. I feel better.
I'm 5'-1", I weight in at 215lbs a few weeks ago, today I'm 205. I found out I was pregnant last week and have my first doctors appointment in 40 minutes. I haven't been feeling well and have only been craving fruits and fresh foods. I plan to continue and walk 1 hour every day. By the time baby comes I hope to weight 175lbs or less.
I’ve been losing weight in my pregnancy but my doctor says that’s not good and I need to stop. But I’m not even trying just eating better and healthier 🤷♀️ I started out overweight as well
Please how did you do it just find out 3 week ago I am pregnant and mobility obesity and my belly looks like l am 6/7 months pregnant. Please help me thanks
I’m 5’6 225 unexpectedly pregnant with baby number 2 6weeks. My first made me gain 65lbs and I’ve been trying to lose this weight so I can be healthy before I got pregnant again.
Thank you! 10 weeks pregnant. 5'7" 225lbs and I'm feeling it so bad! I'm trying to lose a bit of weight before baby gets here. I'm feeling so awful right now. Hoping for a better road. 💙 1st trimester: 1,800 2nd trimester: 2,200 3rd trimester: 24-2,600
Just started the video! Right now I’m 5’4” I was 152 at the time of conception, I went up to 163 overnight (which happened in my last pregnancy as well, I weigh myself daily) and started dealing with hyperemesis. I started to lose weight, THEN I got prescribed a medication that made me feel like a new woman, no more sickness. What came with that was the overwhelming need to eat constantly because “I don’t know when I’ll be able to eat again” my weight shot up to 170, I’m so uncomfortable with this weight gain. I’m finally not feeling like binging anymore and making better choices, I want to get some of the weight off now. I’m over weight now, and was 3 pounds over weight when I conceived. I’m sick of feeling fat and uncomfortable, my kangaroo belly from my last baby is bulging out now like never before. My booty that used to be toned is flattened and nowhere near as “epic” I used to have women come up to me and compliment me on my booty 😭. It’s so hard to fight insatiable hunger. I’m finally getting active again, I was active before pregnancy, like CrossFit going, on my feet 8-12 hours a day active, my goal is to get back to at least almost as active again. I also have low blood sugar and my midwife wants me to stay away from sweets and carbs in general, but dang! It’s hard!!!
I am down 10+lbs at almost 26 weeks. My doctors are hoping that I stay that way til delivery. I always end up loosing weight when I am pregnant because I just eat so much better.
21 weeks starting weight 204 gained 24 pounds during Covid19, when this is over I won't be able to move......Someone send help!!!!!! Going to jump on this to see if I can shift the scale.
I appreciate you addressing this. I started off a bit overweight due to recovery from back surgery in the year prior. I am only 12 weeks now, and am determined to stay strong and not gain much weight as that will not be good for my back! Of course, I will eat enough and nutritiously. I just want to stay active and healthy.
I visited my gynecologist this week and after she asked how is my pregnancy going (12 weeks) I told her that I’m very fine thanks to God and that the only concern is that I don’t have appetite. As I am l lightly obese (95 kg with 1,71 m) she was happy and told me oh it’s totally fine! It would be good if you loose weight during your pregnancy, you don’t need to worry your baby will not starve. I was happy but then I researched on the internet and many people are totally against loosing weight during pregnancy so I was confused. To see that you did it and other did too and everything went fine just gives me hope and makes me happy because now I know, I can just listen to my body without concerns and that I don’t need to eat if my body doesn’t want that
Starting losing weight at 188 and 5’9” got to 174 in a month and found out I was pregnant. I’m now almost 4 months and I’m 162 my goal for birth weight is 150-155
I gained about 15 lbs and then found out I was pregnant. I kinda freaked out because I've become really doughy and weak. I feel much better knowing there are other women out there that are contentious about this!
I am only 5 weeks, but I believe before learning I was pregnant I was 226 and now about 215. I was not even trying to lose weight and have not even worked out...this is what I did: -drank water, mostly water -no caffeine, no pop (I have drank it a couple times) -eat mostly whole foods which means you should cook -use less salt -snack often, small things though -give in to your cravings just a lil -set intentions on being healthy for yourself and for baby
I’m cracking up laughing with the chips sitting in the background and I’m positive I keep hearing someone munching on them and then they disappear 😂😂😂 then at the end of the video we find the culprit lol. So cute.
I am 5'7" and weighed 228 when I found out I was pregnant. I lost 15 pounds in my first trimester and since then gain it all back plus more than I'd like when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I follow a pretty strict diet with it and yet I'm still gaining weight. I'm 33 weeks now. I've been diagnosed with GD, chronic hypertension and a myriad of other issues. I was working out but started spotting and was told to take it easy
Hey it's Mae give up some of your carbs. Go gluten free. It helped me tremendously. I only gain 4 pounds at the end of my pregnancy. Few days after I gave birth I weighed 7lb less than before I was pregnant. Hope this helps.
I recommend noticing if you have heartburn (which happens a lot to pregnant women) because it may make you feel hungry and you’ll eat something just to ease the discomfort. If you treat it by making life style changes or taking some meds, weight loss will be so much easier.
27 weeks pregnant and already gained 23 lbs. Why? I walk 3 to 5 miles a day and do at least 3 weighted workouts a week. I am 5'6 and started at 144, about 4 lbs over my ideal weight.
I feel like I may have commented on this video before, but here I am pregnant again! and still working on weight. I love how honest you are in this video. I wish this video was around with my first we pregnancies. ❤ Thank you!
With both my pregnancies I started at the same weight (already overweight). With my first baby I ate whatever I wanted and gained about 40lbs. With my second baby I ate plenty of calories but chose the absolute healthiest things I could and gained 15 lbs. I can definitely tell you which I prefer! I'm hoping to START my next pregnancy already at a healthier weight.
I Needed to see this video! I am 5’2 starting weight 148 I am 22 weeks pregnant and have gained alot 172. Super happy with knowing it’s possible to loose weight while pregnant.
So glad I found this! My first two pregnancy’s I was so sick I lost a ton of weight. This time around my thyroid levels are low and i know I gained loads in my first trimester. Sickness is easing and I want to feel healthier and more comfortable :)
I was 185 when I first got pregnant. At my last weigh in before the birth, I was 174!! Didn't expect or try to lose weight. It was a pleasant surprise, but it made sense since I always eat really healthy when I am pregnant. I kept losing weight the healthy way the last two years and now, I am 157 lbs. Just found out I am pregnant again and want to stay healthy. Thanks for the tips!
Well yes, but being pregnant is a great motivation for woman to stop doing things they know are terrible for them, because they know it’s now effecting their little human. I was a really bad smoker since 14 till 19 years old, and I tried so hard to quit all the time, and just absolutely could not, as soon as I got a positive pregnancy test I quit immediately and never touched another one. For a lot of woman, getting pregnant is exactly what it takes to ditch bad habits they’ve had before. It never hurts to hear things we should be doing for our bodies, even if we already know. Reminders are good
I lost 14lbs in a month trying to eat healthy and workout and found out I am pregnant about a week ago. I'll be 7 weeks this coming Thursday and my goal is to lose 20-30lbs during pregnancy.
I’m 5’9 starting at 235 and with my previous baby I went from 220-260 and have been dieting before I found out to get the weight off. This makes me feel a lot better because with my first pregnancy I was worried I wasn’t eating enough and now I know I can continue to “lose” weight during this pregnancy.
I gained 70 lbs with my daughter I’m currently 10 lbs above how much weighed when I gave birth I’m pregnant again and I am planning on losing 30-40 lbs while I’m pregnant I might even start documenting it as I go since there’s not a lot of material on it online
SaraiMac remember every pregnancy is different. I was never hungry when I was pregnant with my son yet I gained 68lb. I ate a lot when I was pregnant with my daughter but I was on a gluten free diet all throughout and only gained 4lb at the end of the pregnancy.
I’m so disappointed in myself for allowing myself to gain so much weight since having my 1st daughter. I’m 20lbs heavier than I was the day I gave birth. And 40 lbs heavier than my pre pregnancy weight. I just found out this morning that I’m pregnant again (maybe 6weeks along) so I really need to get my act together. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge and your story. ❤
In order to keep the weight off you just have to eat healthy..first pregnancy gained 50lbs..ate everything I wanted or that body would tolerate..last pregnancy only gained 10-15 lbs.i made better choices and I was not eating a lot of fastfood. So yes it is possible to keep the weight down but do eat for the baby!!😊
With my daughter I started out 215lbs. Ended pregancy at 247lbs. Dropped to 205lbs 3 weeks post partum. Now was this pregnancy I started at 218lbs, I got up to 222lbs but now I'm back to 220lbs and 23weeks pregnant. I'm trying to keep my weight gain as minimal as possible. I basically eat mostly healthy and I don't binge or over induged. I still have things I like. I'm not dieting or counting calories. If anything I've been tryna eat more to make sure I'm getting what I need. I'm so glad this pregnancy weight gain has been so slow!
I love how you give advice in my language: "Dont go for that third plate of food," "Don't eat your captain crunch in the double mixer bowl that you use to make brownies!" 😂😂
I’m so glad I found this. My current doctor told me not to try for a baby because I’m too “fat”. I want to have baby #2 but I’m currently considered obese class 3 because of my weight and height. Currently 215 5feet 1inch.
Your doctor is honestly ridiculous for telling you that. If you want to go for baby number to just change your eating habits and do at least 30mins at home workouts if you choose not to walk. No one should say you shouldn’t have a baby because of your weight! (Unless is really serious health issues like that are life or death)
I am 5'7" too. Around 220lbs and 8weeks pregnant. I don't want to gain more weight, but i have binge ED and i struggle with my weight for years. I think cutting off sugar should be my plan, because there is no way i can manage self control.
I think it's also important to remember that water retention is also a big part of it. I didn't overeat and I still got huge! Then after I almost deflated, and it was just water retention. Great video, thanks for talking about this topic.
I started 97.6kg, now 33 weeks into pregnancy I am currently weight 92.6kg and my OB is happy with that. It all started from when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I went from high starchy diet to completely cut off carbohydrates, I do full keto lifestyle, it wasn't hard, I wasn't starving at all, just have to resist temptation for any guilty food. Since my babe is still large (85th percentile) I plan to do intermittent fasting as well, predict further weight lost and I am looking forward.
I’m so glad I came across this I’m 17 weeks pregnant and I’m obese .. I weigh 306lbs and I’m 5’5 I need help!!😩 I don’t wanna gain no more than 10 lbs.. this is baby number 4!!
Mary LovingJesus if you do a gluten free diet or the keto diet with an apple a day throughout your pregnancy you will lose weight. Remember too that maintaining your weight throughout your pregnancy is also you losing weight. Enjoy your pregnancy darling❤️
Ivette Puga keto is about taking in a lot of fat. The baby will also eat the fat you lose off your body. But babies need carbs to grow brain cells. And 1apple a day is all is needed to make sure you have carbs for that. You can also eat skittle corn or peas. Just make sure to take your prenatal’s everyday. Remember too that when you eat, the baby eats first. So you don’t have to eat more than usual during pregnancy - I fact I ate less. I am speaking from not only tones of research and conversations with my Dr. but also my own experience. I only gained 6lb during my pregnancy. No processed foods made for a very healthy baby and to this day 9yrs later she is so healthy that when she dose catch a cold, it only lasts for two days.
I’ve watched this a bunch with baby 7 now, trying to keep my weight in check at least because I’m overweight. I’m 16w today and just eating healthy, doing yoga, walking, and some light hand weights, I’m down from 222 to 204 (was 202 at 12w but pickles have become my craving and the salt is making me retain water LOL!). I’m hoping it’s steady gain/maintenance at least for this trimester and all bets are off for third, we’ll see where I end up 😅
Second trimester was definitely the most gain! 202->214 ish between 12w and 27w. 27w to 32w I’ve ‘only’ gained 2 lbs to 216lb. 8 weeks left and I’m still 6lbs under starting weight. Baby is definitely most of of my 14lb gain, he measured 5 and a half pounds at 31w5d 🥴 he’s definitely getting what he needs!
How have I not seen this video!!! 🤦🏻♀️ I am 4 months with baby #5 and was overweight before I got pregnant ...but then lost 8-10 pounds the first trimester and now trying to keep some of that weight off
Started at 225, I’m also 5’7”. I’m 13 weeks along! No clue how to lose weight healthily but this is definitely a start and I am excited to start trying to be active and eat better. 😄
@2:30 beginning tips.
1- Mindset (you are not eating for two)
2-Water
3- Exercise more
4- Portion control ( you can still give in to your cravings but portion control esp. carbs).

I think of the “eating for two” like this. You ARE eating for two, meaning that you have to think of somebody else, not just yourself, while eating. Your choices are effecting two people. Not eating double the food.

You only need an extra 200 cals in the last trimester idiot.

No soda, little to no sugar and very little carbs.
Crystal Vrba Thank you ❤

Unfortunately I have gained almost 10 pounds In 3 months now I know that 2 of those months was due to choclate lol but my start weight was 224 and I'm currently 230..I wanted to cry. My first trimester I lost 10 lbs and now I have been the same weight and I am 26 weeks. Just eating healthy and keeping a pretty active job is helping me not gain anything.
amber gifford did you lose weight from being sick or were you actively trying to lose weight?
I was nauseous! But I think just changing my eating habits and eating healthy is what caused the weight loss.
Jenny Benny I lost 10 pounds during the 1st trimester naturally. Most women tend to lose 5-15 pounds before they even know they're pregnant. Once people find out their pregnant they tend to eat more than they need. If you don't you may not gain to much weight if any.
amber gifford how did you loose the weight ?
This is how i was my first pregnant. But this pregnancy suck im getting really big

Hello can u give me details on how u did that
Im 6 week pregnant and obese
@@sarahasan7299 it’s sort of complicated but also simple in a way. . .well I stuffed myself with fruit 🍉 in the mornings and veggies at night. No matter WHAT I ate and how fattening it was I always made sure 50% of the plate was veg. (So keep prewashed salad in the fridge plus any pickled salads you like, in the fridge)
When I craved something “bad” such as pasta I would make sure it included equal parts vegetables.

Great video. I'm 16 lbs below pre-pregnancy weight. I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant, I simply changed the way I ate to make sure my baby girl was healthy
Years later and this video is still benefiting new moms ! Thank you so much !
Oh that’s nice! I like that!!!
Great tip!
I think people misinterpret the “eating for two” thing. I think it means another being is depending on you for nutrition so you should eat healthy, not necessarily eat 2x the food.

Keep in mind that pregnant women should eat no fewer than 1,700 calories per day
Some of the best exercises for pregnant women are:
swimming walking gardening prenatal yoga andjogging
Lol you're a man. Don't be so patronising.
Morning sickness makes being active soo hard 😢
I learned the morning sickness subsided when I stayed active, almost like I forgot I had it in n the first place
So trueeeee
Please dont try to be active if you cant eat enough food to keep your energy levels up in first place that will damage you and baby.
Morning sickness, lack of sleep, and a 1yr old make it hard.

I’m now almost 4 months and I’m 162 my goal for birth weight is 150-155
How did you lose
I gained about 15 lbs and then found out I was pregnant. I kinda freaked out because I've become really doughy and weak. I feel much better knowing there are other women out there that are contentious about this!
I am only 5 weeks, but I believe before learning I was pregnant I was 226 and now about 215. I was not even trying to lose weight and have not even worked out...this is what I did:
-drank water, mostly water
-no caffeine, no pop (I have drank it a couple times)
-eat mostly whole foods which means you should cook
-use less salt
-snack often, small things though
-give in to your cravings just a lil
-set intentions on being healthy for yourself and for baby
I’m cracking up laughing with the chips sitting in the background and I’m positive I keep hearing someone munching on them and then they disappear 😂😂😂 then at the end of the video we find the culprit lol. So cute.
I'm 10 weeks pregnant at I've been looking everywhere for a video like this so thank you for making this video it's very helpful
@@michelleb6363 thank you
I recommend noticing if you have heartburn (which happens a lot to pregnant women) because it may make you feel hungry and you’ll eat something just to ease the discomfort.
Watching this video 6 years later now… but so so so helpful ❤
So glad I found this! My first two pregnancy’s I was so sick I lost a ton of weight. This time around my thyroid levels are low and i know I gained loads in my first trimester. Sickness is easing and I want to feel healthier and more comfortable :)
This video and comment section is encouraging
Im 5'3 current weight 197. Pre pregnancy weight 180. 17 weeks currently. I neeed to watch this every week so i can reach my goal.
5'0 216 7weeks needed this video desperately, I want to make sure my baby is healthy and am able to to push and do all the activities with my baby
Im 4"11 222 and im 13 weeks pregnant. I just started the gym yesterday. Just the tredmeal and im dieting.
I am 4ft8 180 lbs and 19 weeks pregnant. Weight loss is hard , but you got this!!
I am working on it mywelf as well
I was 185 when I first got pregnant.
This is actually what you should be doing pregnant or not.
Reminders are good
@@crystalwolfe6794 that's how my lady quit.
I lost 14lbs in a month trying to eat healthy and workout and found out I am pregnant about a week ago. I'll be 7 weeks this coming Thursday and my goal is to lose 20-30lbs during pregnancy.
Did you lose?
I am 5’9 started my pregnancy at 270 I have 1 1/2 in the gym and eating MUCH healthier and am down to 265 :) I’m happy
Glad I found your video. pregnant with baby number 2 and my 1st born is 7mnths haven't loss much weight from my 1st child. I pray this works for me
I gained 70 lbs with my daughter
I’m currently 10 lbs above how much weighed when I gave birth
I’m pregnant again and I am planning on losing 30-40 lbs while I’m pregnant
I might even start documenting it as I go since there’s not a lot of material on it online
McCallFam thats awesome u totally should
How did you go?
My plan I want to eat clean and right amount plus staying active.
SaraiMac remember every pregnancy is different. I was never hungry when I was pregnant with my son yet I gained 68lb. I ate a lot when I was pregnant with my daughter but I was on a gluten free diet all throughout and only gained 4lb at the end of the pregnancy.
Crazy dont do it. Its not healthy.
Were on same page..huggs mamsh☺️
Portion control is very important
Yes! And mindful eating can really help!
I lost 26lbs in the first 10 days post partum... All fluid. Being on progesterone made me balloon.
Do you have a video on what you ate? I will love to see it.
Currently pregnant and dealing with same situation! Loved this video ❤
Im 5,9 and 200 pounds and 30 weeks pregnant. I started at 175.
How u lost
How many calories did you eat a day to lose weight while pregnant?
I’m so glad I came across this I’m 17 weeks pregnant and I’m obese .. I weigh 306lbs and I’m 5’5 I need help!!😩 I don’t wanna gain no more than 10 lbs.. this is baby number 4!!
Mary LovingJesus if you do a gluten free diet or the keto diet with an apple a day throughout your pregnancy you will lose weight. Remember too that maintaining your weight throughout your pregnancy is also you losing weight. Enjoy your pregnancy darling❤️
The ketogenic diet is not for pregnant women! Babies need fat. Please do follow her tips instead of keto.
@mary LovingJesus...do you have any updates? I'm literally in the same boat. I'm 280 5'2", and I'm only 4 weeks... I'm so afraid.
