  • There are lots of little differences, but here are the biggest differences I found and that you need to know when shopping:
    1. TRIM LEVEL CHANGES: LS & Fleet options are gone. LT & LTZ remain.
    2. ENGINE CHANGES: 2.5L no longer offered. 3.6L v6 becomes standard (and only option). Final drive axle ratio is 2.77 (3.23 discontinued).
    3. PACKAGE CHANGES: The following are discontinued - LT Entertainment Package, LT Leather Package, Midnight Edition Appearance Package, and Sunroof & Spoiler Package (still offered independently).
    4. COLOR CHANGES: Exterior options discontinued - Blue Velvet Metallic, Nightfall Gray Metallic, Mosaic Black Metallic, and Pepperdust Metallic. Interior options discontinued - Jet Black/Dark Titanium and Jet Black/Light Wheat.
    5. MISC CHANGES: Single-outlet exhaust discontinued, 20" wheels are only available with the Premier Confidence Package, and Forward Automatic Braking is now called Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking.

And then I got a Mercedes SLK once ..all the others have been Impalas , i would like an actual classic one day but opted for cts vsport this time which is absolutely underrated on every level I can’t believe this car even exists .. never even knew about vsports..anyway waiting on the grand finale or new beginning of the Impala and I will get another one for sure

In my own opinion , the mistake GM has made with the Impala is not offering it in AWD like the Dodge Charger and other car manufacturers. They also don't have a V-8 option or a SS option with a Corvette motor, this in my opinion they have repeatedly shot themselves in the foot.😠

    • @KBCarsChevyChannel
      @KBCarsChevyChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree entirely except for the SS with a Corvette motor, they already have the Camaro stealing from the Corvette with the supercharged engine in the ZL1. Chevy lacks an AWD car and with the Cruze and Impala gone, I hope they'll redirect some of the $$ to developing an AWD Malibu option.

7 model years and I don’t think they made any physical changes at all other than paint and interior. Even the 2020 wheels look the same as 2014 ones.
The biggest thing was the addition of Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Most of the rest was changing equipment packages.. making more and more things standard like the rear view camera as the years went on.

Hi.I must say the Impala’s are a sharp looking. My first Impala was a 2015 S. I bought it brand new. Then in 2018 I did an upgrade to a 2018 LT both cars in white. I love my 2018 LT that I bought brand new and it’s been with me ‘til now. I’m thinking of upgrading to a premier we’ll see. The only downfall that I don’t like about the Impala is that ECO MODE FEATURE. I just wish that the Impala would have and on/off switch. It does get annoying after awhile. Well loving my Impala for now. ;)

The Malibu is still a great option and GM has said that they are going to keep it around. The sedan market is a very slim, trucks & suv's account for about 85% of GM sales. That said, they need to keep some sort of car and I think the Malibu will be that for Chevy.

Seriously. I have a 1991 Caprice and it's a hell of a car, and to think they got rid of it for the Tahoe? It saddens me that sedans in general are a dying breed in favor of big, clunky SUVs that wobble all over the place due to being top-heavy. Give us more big, smooth-riding sedans.

So GM is saying if you want a car, your choices are going to be Honda, Toyota, Nissan or one of the South Korean cars. And of course Mercedes or BMW. Ford and GM along with Chrysler no longer want to offer Americans what we want or need and would rather we Americans buy non-American brand cars. American manufacturers will only produce SUV’s and crossovers.
We maybe looking at the end of GM and Ford ? Chrysler won’t last.
GM starts making some of the best looking cars we have seen and they end production of cars.

I get it, definitely disappointed to see the Cruze go away, I sold a lot of those! Malibu, Sonic, and Spark will continue along with the performance cars (Camaro & Corvette). But the Impala has had terrible sales for years. Personally, it's the price-point. For $30-40k, the Buick and Cadillac lines offer a much better option...kinda shot themselves in the foot there.

@@KBCarsChevyChannel Auto manufacturers are required by US Federal Law to have parts available for any models they sold for the period of 10 years. But that does not mean they have to have the part you need immediately on hand, they may have to order it and in some cases that could take a long time. If the current Impala was a popular vehicle the aftermarket manufacturers would produce parts. But is the current Impala a popular enough vehicle?

I have a 2005 Impala with 246,000 miles that I bought new.....I like the styling on these newest Impalas except for the back of the car.....It does not look Chevy Impala enough in the back....The tailights and overall styling of the rear of the car looks too much like other brands.
