I agree, Malibu is absolutely no comparison to to The Impala.
And you’re right on the price of the Malibu.
No way I’d pay $32,000 for A Malibu.
Fact ,
I’d buy a “used” Impala, Before I’d even think about buying A brand new Malibu.
Chevy is ridiculous, They should have discontinued the Cruze and Malibu and kept The Impala.
I own this vehicle and it’s 🔥. It moves like the waves down in the Malibu... it’s a great car and all the extra you could want could be done on this car. I love it. 🔥

2019 was last full year with great options. 9 colors, 3 interior colors including Ent. Pkg with Bose.
Crazy that they ending the impala. If they brought back a 96 ss body and a t top old school monte carlo I think they would be right up there with dodge.

Once again chevy has shot theirselves in the foot ?get rid of the Malibu but keep the impala which is more popular with customers? The whole range of chevy gmc products need condensing to many different models on offer ? Confusing to the average person or customer? Just produce the vehicles that sell well and discontinue the models that don't ? Very simple.? Could save gm a lot of money 💰 overall.
It is the base model so you don't really expect much but the malibu you saw was probably the Premier top trim that probably why it was the same price

Yes they do lol I wish they would have made it somewhat of a Dodge Charger competitor but like you said they need brains.
32K is priced well, you said Malibu in showroom was 32K and with Malibu, 4 banger & less seat room & trunk. LTZ went away in 2017, Top model is now Premier

I had a question on the key. I know it's a pushbutton start, so is the fold-out key inside the fob in case your battery dies and you still need to open the door?
Also I agree no way in hell I'd pay over 30K for a Malibu (even in Premier trim) when you can get the base LT Impala for around the same.
Yeah you can still open the doors with the regular key it should have a key hole on the door if not it’s covered and you would have to remove the cover over the key hole.

It's a lt so it doesn't have all the features of the center dis play like the ltz

No personally when I was 16 I preferred a bigger car it prepares you to be able to drive bigger things and I always preferred larger vehicles.
