This was my first Metroid game ever, and one of my first games ever. I played this game so damn much. it had so much mystery and exploration, I would look at every room and wonder what connection it had to the rest of the planet. Took me like 3 years to beat the game. (I was like 6-7 or something :). Hell, took me months just to get past that first mini-boss worm guy that comes out of the ceiling because it terrified me.) I didn’t have too many videogames, which helped cause me to spend a TON of time on this one. I even discovered morph ball bomb jumping by myself lol.
Well i mean... if i encountered the thing that killed my entire family and community! I would have certainly done the same thing and dumped my entire missile stockpile right there

Sure, in a speedrun it isn't useful, but in the actual game it allows for an early-game equivalent of the screw attack powerful enough to one-hit many tougher enemies. In addition to that, it allows for missile conservation and it is a way to damage bosses if you aren't playing well and run out mid-fight. I understand you have an opinion, but i would like to hear the reasoning behind it.

I'm a little disappointed the layouts weren't a little more faithful to the original game, but it's got a lot of cool stuff in it. Can't wait for Metroid Dread in October though!! Edit: Dread is amazing
It's a TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun) To put it simple, it's when somebody goes into an emulator where they can use a variety of tools like savestates, rewind and slow-motion to create the theoretical perfect inputs.

I guess now people can hook up different hacks that give them different abilities. I'm convinced this one is definitely a computer but you never know.
