I have the Maxx2 and Sledge Belted, I have to say, the Sledge is the clear winner 🏆 as far as I'm concerned 🤔 In the dirt and rough, the Sledge is smooth 🙂👍🏻
My first was the maxx v2 then the week after I bought the sledge. No doubt the sledge is amazing in power but it is much heavier and can get damaged easier. So I do enjoy the maxx especially when I have drove it every day for a month now with no part damage. The body however is destroyed lol
Just got my hands on a maxx v2 monster energy edition few weeks ago and oh my .....it is bad ass!! Just recently got into the hobby....started out with a high trail trx4 crawler... then picked up some bashers..... got a bls-2 rustler ....a big rock 3s and now my maxx.... love all of them....but I must say one of the trucks I find myself playing with the most is my little armma granite grom...... thing is a blast at the skatepark 💯 Enjoyed the video 💯
Thanks for the video, only real r.c I've had is a traxxas trx6 which I sold recently. Wanna get a basher and have been looking at maxx for a long time but now with the sledge coming out I've been debating. I think I will probably go with the sledge as I'm starting from scratch again and $ wise seems more worth it to me to get a newer truck, considering it seems the maxx needs a considerable amount of money to perform well vs out of the box the sledge really just needs an overlook/maintaince check, obviously with more troubles to be found soon so I will wait a little longer! 👍
I believe the Maxx is the better choice if your looking for better handling the sledge definitely but to simply bash the Maxx the wide max kit in my opinion is all you need biggest difference is 560 for the Maxx and 800 for the sledge
I foolishly traded my Maxx v2 several months ago. Recently bought the Sledge and do not like it all. Very loud and less refined than the Maxx. In terns of speed, the Maxx on 4s is as fast as the Sledge on 6s. In stock form that is. Maybe the Sledge has more potential but not sure how much. I'VE hit 54 mph in both in stock form. I find this new Sledge motor to be the worst 6s motor I've driven. Loud, unrefined and easily overheats.
@@jakesrcaddiction wish someone would make a decent video explaining how to control the Maxx when it’s in the air. I have learned with TSM on you have very little control when in the air.
Ive had a 3.3 revo so I like that type of handling. I bought the maxx v2 and haven’t gotten a chance to drive it yet but then the sledge comes out. Lol do I sell and go sledge? I like that lower stance etc. I’m not a basher. Just like to drive and have a good time
Thank you the maxx videos went down due to the sledge. I have the maxx same color. I love it I ran 16 3s batteries now iv put down 4 4s batteries and the car is holding up. I'm going to break the car down for a clean and look for loose screws. Hard basher just eats dirt and says thank you sir I'll take more.
Thanks for the video man now I know which one I would get and for me it would be suspension and control in the air and speed and it looks like the Sledge beats that Max in all that area
MaxxV2 for sure if just getting into it. If you have experience then I'd say the sledge that thing is insane on power and handling! It will bash just fine if you have the control. Unlike me. (I broke the control arm, hinge pin, front axle, servo saver bearing, shock cap and dropped rear axle no o ring, all at separate times) BTW shock caps are different than maxx
Definitely go with the Maxx I spent 896 for the truck dual charger and 2 batteries and that’s taxes included and in my opinion that’s a good value seeing how I was just starting
@@patricktorgerson7488 I remember having an rc car as a child and now that I have children I want to get back into it. I know the sledge is probably a nicer truggy but I don’t always like buying the latest. I would assume traxxas will eventually make an updated version of it. In the meantime I think I will enjoy the maxx and whatever else I get for the kids. Thanks!

Really like how clean your landing the Maxx. Wish I could jump like that, I break a bulkhead every time.
I have broke one bulkhead over the whole time the original Maxx was out just gotta learn how to flick your finger for control

I’d say sledge or Maxx if you want ultimate tough and rugged go Maxx if you want a truggy that will be fun on a track and bashing go sledge.
