A year later I got mine this Christmas and I see TRAXXAS has listened to everyone about some of the main issues like screws backing out and tire glue issues. I did have a couple wheels crack on the inside edge but I glued them and they’re still hanging in there! Looking forward to upgrading the major things y’all talk about like new servo and motor/diff mono mount. I’ve bashed her around pretty good for the short time I’ve had it and she’s held up perfectly I haven’t broken a single thing besides the cracks forming in the wheels. Keep up the awesome work and stay bashing!
@ajjamstudios 8:15 For my sledge I have the Traxxas wheelie bar. The wheelie bar has a handle that you can pick up the vehicle. The Maxx, Sledge, and XRT wheelie bars all have the handles. I do not have experience with any of the other Traxxas wheelie bars.
AJ you’re awesome but you should let the other guy talk a little more specially since he is standing there right next to you. It’s kind of like a podcast where the interviewer asked questions but the answer for the interviewee. I mean that in a constructive criticism way not a bashing criticism. Love all your videos and I’m sure it won’t take long for you to really crank up and get up there with the top dogs soon. I like your speaking style and I like the way you get into the super details that I’d like to know about. Have a great day and thank you for reviewing the sledge
You mentioned wanting a different center diff fluid weight. What would you recommend for improved corning under power? I was driving straight the other day toward a tree, turned and got no response and ended up replacing a shock. 😁
As a Kraton fan I was glad Traxxas created this type of vehicle my only gripe is the price. Where does the value come from? It should be around $650-699 in my opinion. I built my EXB on sale last year for $650 8s electronics.
That’s like complaining an iphone pro is expensive. One just needs to see and compare them irl to see why this car is not like any other 1/8 scale, let alone a kraton… Just the amount of R+D put into this truck for innovation, user experience and convenience makes it worth it having over any other.
This is true, rnd costs money and Traxxas put in the effort. For what you get we here at the channel think it is worth it. Imagine spending the money to totally upgrade your Kraton beyond the EXB spec, it costs way more for basically the same performance, we know, we’ve been there. Thanks for commenting 😎👍
We haven’t run into issues yet and this is still the same kind of mount Arrma has used for a long time now. However we did add a motor block support from M2C racing. 😎👍
You make interesting points with your scaling but you forget that if you have to replace the motor mount it falls down all score at least a seven because that’s a core part of a vehicle and as a bad engineering design. I have the car as well and I went with the M2c Motor mount and you need to factor that in more.
We took that into consideration. The motor mount swap was a choice and not an overall necessity. Keep in mind that after locking the stock one down hard it did not move again. Personally I just don’t like the separate component perspective. Thanks for commenting 😎👍
You should look into the tekno MT410. Got to be honest out of all my monster trucks including my Xmaxx ,outcast 8s, Kraton 8s it is one of my favorites. It drives so nice and handles unbelievably for a monster truck.
common....the EXB Talion is ten times better than this. 7075 T6 alloy all the way through the car. The car in general are way more durable, much better servos, tires, faaaast seros...holy mother of God, this is so wrong, so wrong... Traxxas lovers can only see one way. With the Talion you can drive competition with it's 7075 alloy all the way out and it's much easier to drive... Traxxas- Plastic and 6061 alloy on a track 🐫🦧
Agreed. The motor mount we chose was a choice and not totally necessary if the stock system is seriously locked down. Still, you’re correct, we did do that. To be honest, the upgrades we were referring to was arms and suspension mostly. Thanks for commenting 😎👍
@@AJJAMStudios Thanks for the response, I truly appreciate that. Sorry if my initial comment came off as rude. I've just had so many problems with all the Traxxas cars I've owned, and I've had quite a few. I really do enjoy your channel and look forward to seeing more content. All the best and Bash on.
I find it funny Traxxas took Arrma to court because they claimed the Nero copied Traxxas shocks. Yet the Sledge looks a whole lot like a Kraton. That's why I can't stand Traxxas.
This guy looks like a CEO, totally pragmatic, assertive, clear and precise on his speech and explanations
yes i enjoy his stuff

Rob is back! i like his opinion.based on real driving. Keep going with the good work. From the Netherlands.
I got one in April, love it a lot, my money made it crazy because I I went for 2 sets of prolines to make it be multi purpose,
Very interesting video, not a vehicle for me but it looks like a tidy truck though. Great content as always 👍🏻
I love your videos mate. thank you for everything you do :)
Hello AJ! Solid review!!! Your Awesome my man! 👊🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, Speed. It’s always good to hear from you. 😎👍👍👍👍
@@AJJAMStudios you as well my friend! 👊
Hey, I just received my Sledge today. So I have a bit of mods to add. But cant wait to bash it!
Very cool. Lot's of great information.
Thanks 👍

Thank you for your insight. We appreciate it greatly 😎👍
Great review 👍🏾
Did you ever had problems with the gears ( front, middle and back ) sir?
Not yet. Changing the center diff mount has worked well for me so far. Thanks for asking.
Where is the link for the handle?
You mentioned wanting a different center diff fluid weight. What would you recommend for improved corning under power? I was driving straight the other day toward a tree, turned and got no response and ended up replacing a shock. 😁
I dropped mine way down to around 30k. It helped with control.

You don’t own or review a ERevo2.0. Would love to hear how you compare against the sledge
I’ve been looking at that motor mount only thing that puts me off is that there is no support then under the motor. Is this not an issue?
We haven’t run into issues yet and this is still the same kind of mount Arrma has used for a long time now. However we did add a motor block support from M2C racing. 😎👍
Why don’t you do links to your products
What servo did you put in it?
It is a feetec 35kg servo we picked up on eBay. We’ve used a lot of them and they do well for us here. Thanks for asking 😎👍
Where does the Sledge land in your Top 10? Can you share your list?
The list is in the video
@@AJJAMStudios Sorry, I meant in your entire RC collection. Thanks!

Funny how ya say its got all its upgrades straight out of the box, then spend a few minutes explaining why it needs the motor mount upgrade.

True theyre really uncompetitive
Traxxas makes great rc cars...A truggy has been around a long time way before Arrma became a brand. And the Kraton is just a truggy.
@@philsandoval8614 such a great cars that you need to upgrade your motor mount on a 750 $ car.. sure..
It just means Arrma is doing something right. True that you don't see Arrma copying the X-Maxx/Maxx design lmao

I think you should make your video shorter.. you can get to the point in 15-20 minutes…
