Also a Zonda owner and you will indeed enjoy this boat , Couple tips , use double face tap on the back side of the servo in addition to the tie strap to keep it stable , buy a Dubro servo arm which is alot stronger then the ones that come with the servo and the only 6s lipos that will fit are the ZEEE 5200 , are better batteries then you might think . Hey man watch out for that hobby wing motor. I bought one from the hobby shop and first drive in my Mojave Grom the shaft of the motor snapped clean off.

You're persistence for speed should at least include a very basic Gyro.

Do not use this motor in the grom series it cannot hold up to the weight of the vehicle ! The esc did fine and stayed cool but motor overheated !!! Look elsewhere ! See my new video on the Mojave where I use the 2435 motor that is a little bigger can !

Great little trucks if you keep the jumping to scale sized, or just keep it on the trails, I added a gyro to my 2 Mojave and 2 Typhon Groms. Use them for what they are capable of and they are fun, Im leaving mine pretty much as is with the exception of the gyros, suspension, and IC2 to Deans T adapter to Use 3000 MAH 50c Lipos, brings it to life. Nice Video

Just a thought, but I'm wondering why you just didn't carry the transmitter with you? The prop will fly off when you crash but the noisy motor and gearbox will still be active. The batteries rarely get ejected on tiddlers like this. 🤔😉

What brushless system did you put in?

11:03 Just a friendly FYI - The brushed system has LVC enabled because that battery is a LiPo. You might be used to brushed systems working with a NiHM battery. Nice vid! I'm still waiting for my local hobby shop to get the Mojave GROM in stock.

that is not the same motor its the 540xl marine motor its more waterproof and slightly bigger

apparently, choosing the Tamiya antique 10-scale big-foot series / Losi-mini-LMT /FMS-fcx24 is a better choice! Mine already bought the late two...Tamiya has been discontinued. Traxxas provides a feature of 8-shock installation but no other parts like a real thing at all. At least Losi and FMS have put some effort into it.

I like some of other Traxxas models (Rustler VXL, Stampede), but this is an epic fail, should have made it faster, bigger tires and also the suspension seems too stiff, it looks like a "toy" driving around. It may be ok if they dropped the price point by about $90-$100 and aimed it as a first RC for kids.
