    Just wanted to say "thank you so much" for the little blurb on the center button on the left-hand switch bank. That is exactly what I needed to know. I was able to get the connector and inserts for the socket under the left panel at my local dealer so i could power off of it to run my accessory lights in a very clean fashion.

    I want to hook up Underglow lights to one of the AUX buttons and have it constant hot when the Ignition is off, without having the Ignition switch turned to Aux all the time. Is this possible?

    There's 3 spots for Acc Switches, but the Harley kit only gives 2. Is there a company out there that makes Acc Switch Kit for all 3 slots??

    Great videos! Thanks. The wiring is almost exactly the same on my 2018 Tri-glide. I have the Cool Fan installed, from the Dealer when new. They used 925 connector for the fan as you did. I have now purchased the kit and installed the RH ACC kit and have installed the middle switch on the LH side. I liked your video on your installation but would rather not solder/crimp/extend. Is there a way I can follow the HD instructions and plug the Battery wire terminal into the plug that the fan is connected to? There is an "empty terminal" with a white seal pin in it. If I remove that and install the battery cable there and then to the battery, would that work or cause trouble? TIA if you can answer or give me a way to add another 925 connector. Cheers

    • @perezog
      @perezog ปีที่แล้ว

      Steve, that is exactly how I wired this in, how you describe. I also have the cool flow fan using 325b, but as you said, there’s a free pin on both connectors of 325b, so I de-pinned and added the power from the battery in one and it connects to the harness in the other, super clean, better than installing a Y connector!

    • @cwickgo9
      @cwickgo9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steve / Kamado - 2017 FLHTKSE CVO - Just like both of you, the fan was installed at the dealer so it uses the 325b. All I want to do is utilize the middle switch hole on the left hand side to run my fog lights. Can you tell me how to do that? All I need is to install a center button on the left dash and have a switched pos / grnd wires I can attach to. How can I do that?

    • @perezog
      @perezog ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cwickgo9 This video gives you the majority of the answer. You’ll also need the fog light wire harness. I bought the Harley harness to tie from the green wire he pulls out of the accessory harness in this vid and ties to his fog lights, I did exactly the same. I installed Harley fog lights so the the Harley fog light harness plugs right in to the lights. As he did, I added a molex connector from the accessory harness to the fog light harness. You’ll also have to buy the switch from your dealer to add to the middle slot of the left bank.

    How many amps can you draw from the green wire that you used for your fog lamp that is controlled from the middle position button of the left buttons bank ? Since you use it to power your fog lights from it, I suppose it's also more 2 amps. And it is already relay connected from the factory ? thanks for your help

    • @Alan_1

      Hopefully someone more current on this can answer. When I did this install I researched it well and that circuit was rated enough for the fog lamp load.

    Hello, and thank you for a very in-depth video, I totally appreciate that you are extremely versed in electricity, soldering, etc. However, the everyday biker, like myself, may not be that inept. I honestly could not follow you as you were adding and subtracting all sorts of things that has nothing to do with a straightforward installation of the Harley Aux Power Switch Kit Fairing Mount 71400129. At least, it had nothing to do with what I needed. I am not upset that you have gone an extra yard or 2 in describing what you have on your own bike. Honestly, all I am looking for, and I dare say others as well, is a straightforward installation of the 71400129 Power Switch. Can someone please direct me to a straightforward video for the installation of the 71400129 on a 2018 Ultra Limited? Thank you again for your work. I hope I did not offend you in any way. It was not my intend at all.

      yes, first off Thank you for the video. It takes a lot to do one. But like he mentioned. I was following you perfectly and then you went on to what you were doing to your bike that is not the intention of harness. So,, you lost me after you changed how the pin is supposed to be installed.

      I couldn’t follow him through either…..

    • @perezog
      @perezog ปีที่แล้ว

      Adding my unwanted $.02! The only thing he changed was that he didn’t use the 325 connector to run power to the harness. Just like him, I have a cool flow fan installed, and the 325 connector is already used. I do think it’s possible to just add the power pin from the battery, install it in the 325 connector as Harley instructions say, and then add the harness connector pin to the other side of the harness. (Take the pin out from the harness 325, and add that pin. But I likely lost you there! He did it the way he did because it’s a silly use of the 325 just to power the harness, a splice does the same. Hit me with Qs
