    • @OnTwoandGo

      I hear ya on that....the batwing is pretty easy to get off. I've taken the fairing off enough to where it's second nature. The battery should last a couple years anyway.
      My thinking was to have the button within reach with not too long of a wire run. But yes....there are any number of places for the remote.

    Great video, I just saw one that you can buy from A company that looked really nice, the only difference was their’s had a hallo light and a price tag of $159.00 so I decided that was not for me.
    Thanks for the video, I’m going to put this into my 2020 Road Glide Limited, I’m just going to make the remote a bit more accessible so battery changes and reprogramming will be made easier.

    Not too sure who or where to ask but how is the M8 motors for reliability now? What I mean is I see so many people with problems. For instance more than a few videos here show a new owner and are so happy and trouble free with no issues, then the owner of a 2020 had to have new cylinders and pistons because of the known oil issue even with updated oil pump. So if I where to purchase a new Harley, it seems to need the cam plate upgrade, oil pump, vented filler cap which will probably void any warranty. Or do I as so many others just see a few bad cases of broken bikes here and on the forums and others have no problems at all? I still like the Electra Glide Standard.

    • @OnTwoandGo
      @OnTwoandGo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't really say for sure. I can only speak of my bike and my experiences. I have a 2019 Electra Glide Standard. I've had absolutely no problems with mine. I'm no mechanic so I can't give you a "tech based" answer. I can point you to several Facebook pages where you could pose a question like this. Try facebook.com/groups/611027315702088/
      Here you can ask a question...but I have to warn you, be prepared for every "expert" to give you a different answer. Just sift thru the answers for the techs to chime in. Hope that helps.

    I noticed you replaced the head unit with a Sony. Was it plug and play?

    • @OnTwoandGo
      @OnTwoandGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      In this case it was. I bought the Sony from Fathead Cycles. Unfortunately, they're out of business. They provided a harness that was a direct plug in. They also provided a module for the hand controls. The anp was pre-installed at the dealer, so that was already hooked up. I haven't looked, but I'm sure there are other companies that are selling the harness.

    It's going to be a hassle to change the battery on that remote, and I hope that switch is waterproof

    • @OnTwoandGo
      @OnTwoandGo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      less than 10 minutes...I'm constantly in and out of the fairing. Batteries in garage door openers last a long time anyway. The switch isn't water proof, but has a rubber o-ring...so it's not totally exposed. I've been caught in the rain already...not an issue.

    • @OnTwoandGo
      @OnTwoandGo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To answer the question...yes. You'd have to remove the fairing.
      However, in all my years of using garage door openers, I can only remember changing one or two batteries. Besides, I'm in there so often, its not a big deal for me. There are plenty of other places to put it .

      @@OnTwoandGo after I wrote that, I thought…”When was the last time I changed the battery in any of my openers?” I think maybe once. So, GOOD POINT! I guess I feel that my luck would be that the damn thing would need to be changed the week after I hid it in there, lol. I really like the idea of this extension with the momentary switch. I may see if I can find a way to put the opener in my Tour pack and run the wire to the switch on the under side of the pack, or something like that. Does Harley or someone make a momentary switch that fits the unused buttons on the lower panel? Next to the Fog Light switch? 2020 Ultra Limited
