    Imagine doing no real prep to interview Simon. Basically reading cliff notes from his books and asking him to regurgitate it. Simon again knocks it out of the park answering his "questions".

      If the interviewer is reading this, there are a few tenets to a good interview. Not many. Do your research. Don't fire off random questions you wrote down. Listen to what the interviewee is saying and build off it. Speak less. Listen more. We're not here to hear you.

      There is nothing to find his questions intimidating as they are real proximities & threats to hardworking resources. Companies of their global reputation potential to invest started this. Afterall, it's a human invented AI and hence our future is demanding us to become a upgrade to sustain this.
      But the bitter fact is.. nothing can beat Human intelligence.
      Well, this must be the Optimism that Simon Stresses up on, given the fact that resource potential is measurable but do not have limitations to evolve to see what is tomorrow..!

    I can TOTALLY relate to Simon's example of how we are hunting & gathering creatures - That's why retailers always move merchandise around 🙌 I was one of those who led the charge in favor of moving merchandise to reset stores (for 25+ yrs), and watched the sales increase after my team & I renewed a department. Fascinating to watch - and artful to implement at home ❤ Online shopping is convenient no doubt, but nothing beats touching fabrics & materials, listening to music, conversing with people (even if only a smile), seeing all of the true colors of the items, and in some retailers, experiencing the intoxicating aromas whether from a scented candle, coffee brewing or fresh baked goods... And if you hunt & gather in antique shops / markets -- that's a whole other level of endorphin & dopamine experience 🤗🥰😍

But struggling to find any support for how to manage and lead in real-time, and how to handle situations not going well. • @gtrdn

      That's the same of saying do not fear weapons, you should worry about humans. Do you realize that there are good humans and bad humans right? Therefore, AI can be a blessing or something terrible as the same time. Trust everyone is a naive move. It needs to be very well regulated before we move too forward.

    • @dirtycasual3094
      @dirtycasual3094 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @gtrdn I think they mean to say that ai is another tool to be utilized by those we should not openly offer our trust. I myself am pro 2-A. Guns don't kill people, hammers don't smash carpenters thumbs. We do it to eachother, we do it to ourselves. Or in some cases, we knowingly allow it to be done to us.

    It is obvious that if we do not react
    to negative behaviors , is like we give permission to them .
    Be authentic , be a good example
    for other people and not only in
    words but above all in your deeds .
    Live in the way : here and now but
    be far - sighted because after all this earth is also a home for those who are born and will be

    How do we fix the janitorial\cleaning part of the service industry? I understand the the pay is low because it is capped by what customers are willing to pay, which has to cover overhead, wages and profit. One of the biggest problems is in the perceived value of the people on the bottom rung. There is a stigma attached to being the person who cleans up after other people. But that isn't what we do. What we actually do is provide a first line of defense against pathogenic harm. And no one wants to work in a dirty environment. We are providing people with a safer and more comfortable place to work. Why is this not of higher value?

    • @ruasmadasme
      @ruasmadasme 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You get what you pay for applies here. Wages that keep people at or below the level of poverty doesn't inspire doing a good job. So the janitorial company gets what they pay for but the customer does not.

    • @joyful
      @joyful 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      look at it from a different perspective. people don't usually notice when something is clean, but definitely notice when a thing or space is dirty. it's an inconvenience for them to have to clean it themselves. and if there is potential pathogenic harm present, they most likely don't want to deal with obtaining protective equipment and cleaning supplies. most people might not even know where to find those supplies in their offices and workspaces. additionally, cleaning is often seen as "domestic" work, even in the workplace. it's done by people with no power, no education, and no other opportunities. as someone whose mother owned and operated a cleaning business when i was a child, i know that last statement isn't true, but that is often what people think. when staff called off or had an emergency, my mom had to take on this work herself if it was last minute. i remember going into offices with her and reading or doing homework until she finished and the energy from people who worked in those offices was always weird. people often didn't realize she was filling in for her own staff and was the business owner; they weren't always respectful. people aren't usually demanding of their peers and business partners, but can be demanding with support staff and those who are lower on the social hierarchy.

    31:26 Feedback is good but only if the one who gives feedback has a valid point. People are not rational, objective, and most of them are just incompetent. Insecure people throw shit on others trying to hide their fears and insecurities. That’s not feedback, that’s projection and other such delicacies.

If you’re not qualified for a job or you don’t have the means to discharge of your duties, you must not accept that role/ position. As simple as that. Do you want someone to work to the best of their abilities for the benefit of your company and their benefit? Give them the fucking tools.

    42:43 Your mind is chaotic, that’s why you acquiesce to any amount of chaos. Chaos out of order (ask your mates about this reference).
    A fixed, strong, good structure is needed at all times for social cohesion and psychological health. A good structure allows innovation. A bad structure gets ossified. But the problem it’s not having a structure, the problem is the people who create and inhabit a structure. There’s only chaos as a reflection of the chaos in the minds of the individuals. All that ‘destroy to build back better’ is not a philosophy, it’s an admission of guilt and a sign of a deep form of chronic and incurable insanity.
