So my wife works at a computer center about 25 miles outside of our town. We live in South dakota, so snow is always a concern during the winter time, and will sometimes shut down the road so she can't get there. She's only required to be at work two days a week. Aside from the snow events, but not having a hundred-dollar gas pump bill every week is a definite plus. I can definitely say that not having to go to work physically and being able to do your job from home will definitely help with people who can't pay for gas to get to work.

We need a culture of meritocracy. That everyone has the same access to resources, but the best are the ones that get the roles and positions, regardless of the color of their skin, gender, etc

    Love the video, Simon.
It's just a bit quiet compared to other YT vids. I had to turn all of my volume up to 100% to hear.

Simon distinction between optimism and toxic positivity is crucial for leadership, especially in high-growth environments like ServiceNow. Emphasizing realistic optimism over blind positivity can sustain morale and drive genuine engagement among teams.

24:30 Common problem is that higher management hasn't been doing grunt work for years. Due to that, modern problems grunts face are alien for said management personnel. If the management is extremely focused on hitting numbers and doesn't listen to and try to fix grunt's problems, then you're left with management which doesn't understand how their firm is serving their customers.
If people have all the time dollar signs in their eyes, they don't know what they are doing.
Focus on doing the best work you can do, try to improve yourself and serve the customers with positive attitude, the money will come on it's own instead of you needing to hunt it.
Don't sell your time to an employer or a manager who doesn't fight for you. And if you are a manager, fight for your employees and listen to them so they have your back.

All eyes on Rafah! We need to see the truth to move forward to a peaceful world. Please whoever is reading this, if you have a shred of humanity in you just watch what’s happening in Palestine and help make a change! Stop US taxpayer dollars going to indiscriminately bomb refugees in Gaza! Please see us as you see your children

Simon is awesome. But the egotistical grandstanding of the female interviewer, EVEN AFTER Simon gently brought her down a few pegs, is nauseating and disappointing. She’s not there for Simon, she’s there for herself. Ironically.

I noticed that as well. The organization might be performing now and riding the high but we'll see how those stellar reviews look in a few years once there are some hard times for leadership to navigate.
