    I just did this yesterday. I have a left hand drive 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The heater resistor is located in same spot as in the video. It's not opposite - on the left hand drive (American version) it's on driver side behind gas pedal. The gas pedal needs to be removed - three nuts. I left my gas pedal connected - just swung it behind brake pedal. The gas pedal bracket really makes the job difficult to work around. I could see the resistor but couldn't get hand up in tight spot to spin it counter clockwise to remove. I used a 6" adjustable wrench to put on the end and was able to spin it just enough to be able to get it out. It's in such a tight spot that it needs to go high up in dash to have enough room to pull it out. Not very fun but saved me a lot of $$$. Thanks for posting video - I knew what it would look like.

      I'm glad I finally read the comments because that first video had me searching the dashboard for over 2 hours looking for something that wasn't there until I read your comment. Thank you very much I appreciate it I'm the proud owner of a 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque prestige and I'm going to do it myself so I appreciate you taking the time to comment!

    Left side of vehicle bottom back of heater box tight to the fire wall. On American model remove the lower dash of the knee airbag, remove gas pedal, there are 5 bolts to remove the brake pedal bracket remove the 4 bolts and only loosen the 5th bolt on top about half way it is hidden so do not take it all the way off the resistor can slide out and back in behind the brake pedal bracket . Left click to loosen and Right click to tighten

    thanks for video, used it for same problem on freelander 2, essentially resistor located in same place. Took out glove box and side panel in foot well also. also useful to know to remove resistor leads there are clips at each end to pull back while pulling out

    You could spend an eternity looking for that problem and similar niggly problems - Can the general public get accees to manufacturer TBs? It would be interesting to see them for my car... Great video thanks.

      Most garages have access to an online form of technical data which is normaly a paid monthly subscription.
      However if you look at the likes of Haynes Pro and Auto Data they do have some free trials if you wanted to jist take a look for your own car

      @@miss30rolanda it’s buried under the dash right in the middle.. no way to access it without taking the entire dash off. I took it to a shop and it cost $1500 unfortunately. Winter was coming soon I took the hit and got it fixed. It was 11 hours of labor and they ended having to take both doors off as well. Hope that answers it for you

    Looks like an air duct in place of where your resistor is

    • @MTMMotorServices
      @MTMMotorServices  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The resistor is located behind the cover for the cabin filter.
      I couldn't see it, I had to feel for it. Then it rotates out of its carrier.

    • @zachleftwich6638
      @zachleftwich6638 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have 2015 evoque. Left hand drive. The cabin air filter is in the passenger side. The resistor will be in the same location as yours then?

    • @MTMMotorServices
      @MTMMotorServices  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zachleftwich6638 if your cabin filter is on the right hand side. Then the pipe work maybe reversed on your version.
      I would imagine that the resistor is still located just behind the cabin filter.
      I haven't worked on the left hand variant of this car so I can't say with certainty.
