Likewise, I had a 2016 jaguar xf with the same 2.0 ingenium engine from new. I ran it for 180k with a daily commute of 100 miles round trip, 80% of which was motorway/A road. I serviced it every 10k and it never missed a beat, my only expense was consumables and servicing, Which included a chain change at 160k. I found it a brilliant engine 🤷
Interesting viewing, even from down in New Zealand. Enjoy just seeing how the used car scene is in the UK. I watch a couple of other channels, UK Salvage Rebuilds and Chops garage. I have noticed you have more choices of vehicles that have manual transmissions fitted, cars in New Zealand are more likely to have Automatic Transmissions. We have a lot of used cars come in via used Japanese Imports, which has seen us getting cars with better standard accessories fitted. Our family cars are a 2018 Kia Sportage AWD and as my run around car I drive a 2012 Suzuki Kizashi AWD. I also notice cars in the UK are plagued with rust issues because of the use of Winter and salt being laid on the road, as a result our older cars are in better condition and are usually rust free. It had electrical, driveshaft and gearbox issues within the first 1k miles and went from garage to garage for months at a time.....
