Infuriates me these monsters think they own someone, he's nothing but a coward you notice he's never been accused of attacking a man because he knows what will happened to him. Just makes me sick that he couldn't deal with these things like a man but has two be a little b**ch that with out his knife he'd be nothing but a chump. I'd pay to be able to get just 5 mins in a room alone with this coward, find out how tough he is without his knife!! It was so beautiful to see that little smirk disappear from this face when he heard life in prison, now he gets to be someone else's girlfriend and be on the other end of it, literally.

Michelle tried to warn her and everyone else that this man was a danger to society and he basically got a slap on the wrist for trying to murder this woman smh the system fails again. Thank God she got away with her life. Listening to Michelle's account of her survival gave me serious chills. I was in an extremely abusive relationship which lasted while I was pregnant. He was suffocating me so I couldn't scream me and I barely ended up escaping to a neighbor who drove me straight to the hospital. The nurses notified the cops and they were there waiting for him when he tried to show up and drag me back home. Of course he never stayed in jail long. Each of the three times he was arrested his parents would bail him out. He had them believing I was crazy and hitting myself. They still believe it to this day. I feel grateful I finally worked up the courage to go to a DV shelter and move on with my life.

I mean I know why - because he is a narcissist and a psychopath but you get what I mean. His attorney though surely didn`t think they have any chance being caught at the scene of the crime, covered in the victims blood hiding in the woods just hours later after having a violent argument with his gf in front of their friends. And as if this isn`t enough he basically did the exact same thing once already thankfully without succeeding to murder Michelle as well.

I imagine that despite all of her messages to Kay, Michelle feels pain and guilt and thinks she could’ve done even more. She definitely helped getting both Kay and herself justice in the end.

Victim blaming isn't a thing. It's just another woke term that people invented to sanctify someone who has been victimised, as though someone's being a victim absolves them of personal responsibility for any situation in which they find themselves. Many times, people's actions have consequences. Acknowledging that isn't blaming anyone, nor is it implying they deserved it. But the position of victimhood has become almost saint-like, as though they're above criticism.
As someone who was taken advantage of while horrendously drunk, I refuse to say that I didn't bear at least a little responsibility for being so reckless and stupid at such a young age. That doesn't make it all my fault, but there are many factors at play. Life is much more complicated than victim/perpetrator, good/evil, blameless/guilty. This woman was warned. I have a sister who was warned about her abusive husband by his ex wife and others. All her own fault? No. Should she have listened? Absolutely.
Sorry for the long post. Thank you for reading if you got this far.

Also, and no disrespect to the person above, but a lot of people view relationships, platonic or romantic, as individual issues and never think about the societal aspects of them. Domestic violence is not only an individual issue, but also a systematic issue that questions our society’s view of love being possessive, especially when sexism with the objectification of womens body.
I believe abusers rely on this (malicious or genuine) ignorance to let people think that they’re the one exception from this. In this case, we can assume that from her eyes rather than him being a sexist abuser, the woman occurred this wrath because she was just the wrong type of woman.
It’s why even when there’s clear examples of abuse especially from a well-liked or powerful man, they usually have such ardent supporters because they can’t even conceptualize how they can experience advantages or disadvantages in a societal context that they can’t control not matter how much they change themselves in an individual manner.
While I’m saddened by Kay’s murder, I think it’s also a cautionary lesson that sometimes we have to not think of ourselves as the one exception to societal/individual problems. I believe that instead of shutting down any attempts at analyzing these situations by saying victim blame, there needs to be some genuine criticism about this topic. In my country, in the 80s, a serial killer, the first one of this kind, was in prison and his sentence is huge, but there is no life in prison in Brazil, the max is 30 years. He is soon to be release it, tons of women wanted to date it him, they write him letters for all of these years he was incarcerated. They think with them will be different, they can changed the monster inside of a murderer and rapist. He is disgusting. He would killed the woman, leave them in the woods, in a sexual position to go back latter and have sex with a corpse. He is up for parole soon, probably will marry, because there are women crazy enough to be with him.

I found this channel by accident (true crime enthusiast - poor choice of words, I feel) but I chose to subscribe due to the one fact alone that these videos always start with condolences. That needs to be a standard when discussing these sensitive, heart wrenching, frightening stories. Thank you for that.

Indeed. I really don't know why some people feel they are special enough to change the sick nature of someone else. It must be ego driven, I don't know, weird. You're never special enough to change a monster, because it has nothing to do with you. They are who they are and will treat anyone the same. The sickness is within them, regardless of who they are facing.

one of the girls in my college group of friends had a boyfriend for about a year that was really fun to be around, funny, nice, life of the party. our whole group liked him and he had a lot of other friends and family. turns out he was a closeted psycho and he really messed up my friends life. when they broke up soo many people were saying they couldnt believe he would do that and actively supported him, blaming my friend instead of him. not sure whatever happened to him, but wouldnt surprise me if he was in prison for killing someone.
