Finally! A creator that found out how they got caught and made an informative video about this case. When this happened I was blown away and kept searching for updates to no avail. Then I heard they were arrested but couldn't find out what evidence they had. Thanks so much for this one!

Can you imagine the burden they put on that poor child’s shoulders, someday knowing that your father killed everyone to get ownership of you. Talk about a double whammy because she might live with guilt that is not hers, because she was the object of the deed. I was just thinking about that, not at all saying it was her fault, but like survivors guilt you wonder why you were allowed to live, her father selfishly put that burden on her shoulders. I pray she never ever thinks that about herself and knows as she grows up it was not her fault. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say.

      It's a matter of culture.
      I'm not kidding.
Clan Blood Feuds are rare but when its on there is usually nobody spared.
The most-famous one in American History was the Hatfields &,McCoys in the 1800s - they basically turned the peaceful mountainside into an early form of guerilla warfare.
The Clan system (the patriarch presents a big decision, everyone says their piece, then everyone - traditionally the males - vote) is an extremely unique culture. It's basically what the Irish and Scottish were on prior to the Feudal Family system (Patriarch makes all the decisions and the children and mother are expected to obey until they build their own family).
When I mean "prior to" I mean that the English directly recognized the Clan systems as being the reason they could not fully control the regions.
They literally went hill by hill and hall by hall to evict, deport, or kill anyone there. There were no more rebellions from the Scottish or the Irish (until the formation of the IRA and the Sinn Fein nationalist movement).

I think they would have gotten away with it if the 2 girlfriends hadn’t fled and most likely talked. This case always reminds me of the Anderson family massacre on Christmas Eve 2007, in Carnation, WA. A retired couple, their son and daughter-in-law, and their two small children, were gunned down over the Christmas holiday by the adult daughter (& her boyfriend) because she claimed her brother owed her money, and her parents treated her "unfairly."

The only word to describe this is diabolical. It's difficult to imagine that many cold-blooded killers being a part of one family. They evidently loved that little girl in their own sick, twisted way if they were willing to kill eight people to get custody of her so I wonder how they feel realizing she probably she will grow up to hate them for what they did to the other side of her family. Unbelievable! And for what? They will spend decades, if not their entire lives, behind bars and will very likely never even see her again. I live very very close to here. It was so ghastly seeing them pull all the mobile homes out to bring them to storage for evidence. Our town was shut down, schools where on lock down because 8 people where dead and they didn't know if there was an active shooter. Our town was rocked with media for weeks. Nothing happens here, but when this did our lives in this small town where never the same. Dana's sister used to come into my work. She hasn't been right since she came upon this scene.

I lived here and I remember the days after this incident, I was forced to stay inside for days. Shit was crazy because of how few people actually live here. Everyone was on edge. My heart still breaks for the victims of this horrible tragedy, along with the people who once called the victims their friends. So glad justice was finally served.

@buzzardbeatnicks there's a yt channel that I have heard recommended a lot The Pink Moon Murders The Pike County Massacre, I believe it's 3 episodes. I haven't watched it yet but have it added to my list of things to do.
I live close to Piketon and have followed this case from the beginning. This is a good video on it. There is one thing that caught my attention @BeyongEvil that I hadn't heard that Billy and Angela had ever divorced as reported in this video. It was Chris Sr and Dana that had divorced but remained on good terms. So I guess that shows ya that you can watch all sorts of documentarys on a subject and still pick up something new along the way.
      Thanks!

I've seen several videos about this particular case. However most were made awhile back- after the family was arrested but before Jake spilled his guts- so they may not have the same level of detail when it comes to the crime itself simply because that info wasn't available then.
