23/11/2017. Wish I was in France now. Tried to do this part of France in June without too much success!!!!!!!

Armstrong was just so dominant. Incredible that nobody was ever able to follow him, certainly not consistently. Was he just the best doped or maybe also the most talented and best trained rider?! Anway, only with doping the Tour was interesting as the stages today are just boring as nobody except pogacar is really attacking and he is probably doped as well

Lance Armstrong proved what he was made of .. being world champion in 1993 was not luck .. the job to be world champion 🚴🚴

Hidden truth about the 2000 TdF: Lance Armstrong was so much stronger than the other riders, he deliberately slowed down and gave away stages on purpose. The stage where he claims he "bonked" is a perfect example. He didn't bonk, he just slowed down and gave away time because he was leading the race by such a massive margin that he wanted to avoid suspicion. The lower the margin of victory, the fewer whispers of impropriety there are.

What are you smoking? Lance literally had to get pushed by his teammates on that stage . In 2002 he had an even greater lead over 2nd place and he was still attacking .

Such great tours - It is such a double standard that Lance Armstrong is erased, and Ulrich, Pantani, Riis, Induráin .... are still listed. Armstrong might have been the best doped and doping cheapens things, but none off the others were clean.

@xellossaxon No - stupidity is clinging on to a lie, and building a whole sport on cheating and lying. Lance Armstrong saved and globalised the sport.
What now? How likely is it that UK riders have never won the grand tours in the first 110 years and suddenly three different riders from the same team (Sky) win 6 of 8 TDF, and why is the rate of astma sufferers amongst elite bicyclists like Chris Froome about 5 times higher than in average population. One would kind of think that astma and endurance sport were poor matches.
Cycling is predicated on lies, and the sport got exposed for its corruption when Armstrong was singled out.
Anquetil openly admitted doping, Merckx and Hinault were caught repeatedly, and with the Froome acquittal it seems like WADA and UCI are again trying to protect the sport.

xellossaxon Doping to this degree was and always will be the preserve of European sport. IMO, the sport should be banned.

    • @tranjose
      @tranjose 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@xellossaxon Facts are funny. LA was introduced to the stuff by Andreu. "In fact", the first time GH and LA ever saw it was in Andreu's fridge. JV's endocrinology "degree" was so they could do it better. Remember that time when Jean-Marie Leblanc, then Tour director, said that US Postal was "becoming more European." Now we know exactly what that meant.
Now just take one second to think about my original comment - it has nothing to do with making anabolics, which you can blame on the East Germans and the Merck Index. It might come as surprise to you that I don't give a crap about who's to blame or who's who since I'm calling for the banning of the sport, primarily in the name safety. The competitive version of this sport promotes bad behavior as you so clearly mentioned with "mafia" like behavior. That's unsafe for sure, thank you! More dangerous, and less trivial is cyclists test positive for everything. You name it: EPO, HGH, HIF inhibitors, CERA, Actovegin, blood doping, testosterone, asthma medicine. You want kids emulating this? The positive tests pre-dated LA and continue after LA. Further you have fought tooth and nail to make a negative test meaningless, which is good because you can't "prove" a negative. At the same time, drug user is default for cyclist. Great job.
So a reasonable person can only conclude that the whole thing is absolutely rotten to the core, and because of mafia like behavior, the default drug user label, and the constant positive tests that actually show that they're drug users; it's a danger to society. You get rid of things like that.

Exercised induced asthma is extremely common among endurance athletes. I struggled during my first two years mountain bike racing and steroid inhalers didn’t help. And then I learned that cannabis helps and works much better than inhalers. I wouldn’t have been able to compete if I hadn’t found something that helps.
Part of why I liked mountain bike racing was because it wasn’t so cutthroat. Of course I was just racing in local races in Alaska; but I couldn’t even conceive of anyone using PEDs since it would seem to defeat the entire purpose of trying to be healthy.

Be honest.....all the European DOPERS...proven dopers... ..kept their titles
      Only LA was stripped....
And.... notice.....even after stripped, they HAD NO ONE TO GIVE THE STRIIPED TITLES TO.....they knew all the top 20 definitely were doping....
