I loved these two. Phil’s passing hit really hard. I miss him and his great stories. 😔

Phil Liggett is alive and well. Paul Sherwen died 5 years ago.

Being a massive Armstrong fan (at the time) and finding myself in Paris on the final day of this tour, I was fortunate enough to get myself to the Champs-Elysees on the final day. What a treat to see this in person. I was amazed at the speed of these guys even before they went all out on the final laps. And to think they are able to ride like that after 3 weeks of racing 2000+ miles through France and through the Alps and the Pyrenees is just astonishing.

I still love Phil, Paul, Bob, and all the old (and new!) doped up riders. The tours are beautiful races.

I remember that Tour de Suisse stage finish in Winterthur when Laurent Jalabert put his hand on my bike's saddle to stabilize himself when slowly riding back through the bunch of fans. I told myself I'm never ever gunna give that bike away anymore. :)

Going to miss Paul Sherwen. What a loss. I was hoping that he would take over the helm once liggett got too old but that is not the case. Liggett is now starting to show his age. Forgetting names and not as quick and snappy as he use to be

28:30 that doctor is an idiot if he thinks it's "miraculous" when a guy stops taking tumor-promoting drugs and all of a sudden his tumors stop growing 😂😂😂

Wasn't this the year, that Jalabert won the jersey to be king of the mountains?

I love the Ligget Sherwen team and that bit about the radios and new technology was great. Miss the sightseeing tips they used to dish out about the French landscape - very interesting - and you just don't get that cultured sense of fun in the current ITV4 coverage. Might as well watch RPGTV and watch the dog tracks! Sorry, but the golden age of the Tour has gone. It's become a boring dodgy money making machine.
