    I recently got an almost identical brace, but different brand and color. My knee has bone on bone and much pain and "crunching" when standing, and hard to walk. After making slight adjustments a few times as you show here, I can now stand and immediately walk, no pain or crunching. These braces are such a relief for pain. Thanks for your video and showing how they work.

      Me too after an injury years ago it was now similar intolerable pain I asked the orthopedic Dr to order one but he gave me one of those useless braces, tried one of these unloader /ROM braces and immediate relief unbelievable the Dr visit was 600.00 and did nothing at all to help me, my husband also knows a lot about muscles and massaged the tight muscles and that also helped a lot

    Ruptured my ACL and tore both meniscus back in Sept. 23' in a foot pursuit working in Law Enforcement. Had surgery that following Nov. Have been recovering with PT and finally got back to sprints and running several weeks ago. One morning woke up and knee was in so much sharp shooting pain and so stiff I couldn't bend it. Was back in crutches and limping again. Another MRI said partial ACL graph tear and possible new meniscus tears. Getting a Platelet Rich Injection shot soon and just ordered a similar brace that supports both lateral and medial sides of the knee. Hoping this helps. I just want my knee back!

    My physical therapist just ordered something like this. I dislocated my kneecap and also probably stage three arthritis. Motivated with my exercises because I have a service dog to walk, live alone & need to keep my original issue parts. Dislocating a kneecap hurts bad enough I can’t imagine a replacement knee!

    I wear one for lateral knee pain reduction. The clasps wear out too quickly. Other than having to replace the clasps/clips it served me well enough. Big FYI if you put too much pressure on the knee you can actually cause hip joint pain.

    I have a briggs offloader knee brace that I used after getting stem cell injections to help with medial arthritis. It worked like a charm in both relieving pain and helping with healing. I still use the brace from time to time when I have a little pain in the inside side (medial) part of the knee. I am bow legged and one knee is slightly more bowed than the other knee and this is the knee that has the sporadic pain. The brace literally helped save the joint. I have been using it for 6 years now and my knee is mostly fine most days. I use the brace maybe three or four times a year for a few days at a time and I vary the offloading from heavy to light as I feel the knee healing. My doctor recommended only using it for part of the day because I shouldn't grow too dependent on it. So I only use it maybe 6 hours a day when I do feel like I need it and then slow wean off it. I highly recommend the briggs model, expensive but works great.

    • @rmsoft

      Have you tried to use it over night? It might help to get your leg straighter.

    • @patrickmiao1698
      @patrickmiao1698 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@rmsoft I was told by my doctor not to wear it too much to prevent an over reliance on it and weakening the joint. As for wearing it overnight, I would like to see studies done first before becoming a guinea pig. It might cause misalignment issues. I have noticed that when I wear it too much, my knee joint hurts in different parts, like the knee cap and the outer joint part.

    Thank you for explaining the flextion and extension inserts! I bought my brace on Temu, it's almost exactly like what my doctor tried on me and it came with all parts but no instructions so I wasn't sure how to use the small pieces. They wanted $400 at the doctor's office for one brace. I bought braces for both knees, $39 each on Temu. Way less than buying on Amazon.

    Heya! I'm a 51-year-old Crossfitter with intermittent arthritis issues. I had a pretty bad time back in 2016, but my knees got better after I pulled back on training - i.e., I kind of had to pull back! Just this year I upped training a good bit again, and the ache is starting to come back. Could an unloader give my a knees and me a little more wiggle room? (I have a consult with my orthopedic doctor in a couple weeks, just interested in some input.)

    Hi Doc, I am at the driving range hitting 100 to 200 balls a day. I'm right-handed and my left knee has become sore & tender to touch around the outside of the kneecap. The pain is greater when I am climbing hills or stairs. I'm 6' and 280 lbs so weight is a contributing factor. I had the knee x-rayed and nothing remarkable was found. I am taking Tylenol & Voltaren with little relief . Would you recommend I try this brace to reduce pain?

Had HA injections and almost all of those “crippling “ pains and other symptoms are gone but after PT and other exercises there is still pain on the medial knee side. My Orthodontist prescribed a brace that would off load my the painful area. Is there anything you can comment on this? Thank you

    I’ve known I’ve had arthritis, for over 15 years. Still, I would walk for as long as 1-1/2 hours around the park. Only a couple of times has it flared up and felt that it’s possibly bone on bone. But, then, I had a fall a couple years ago, heard a pop and I’ve been in pain and limping ever since. Just really busy and too dependent upon pain killer.
    But, I wanted to stop this and heal, so I went to an orthopedist. He took X-rays and told me it was just OA. I’m not a doctor at all, but I disagreed, merely because I knew that I wasn’t in permanent pain, with the right knee, until I had the fall.
    While I will be starting PT soon, I decided to buy one of these and will see how it works, since I have to be more physically busy, during this holiday season, fixing up a house.
    I almost wish it came with a shoulder strap, to maintain position though. I have no interest in wearing shorts, during winter, and will be wearing it over jeggings.

Is there ever a time to work on the quads after partial or full knee replacement or should quads not be made stronger after a year or two years out from surgery. Not right after surgery but years after surgery.
