  • Cold Steel Medival Sword trainer sword made in polypropylene, a super tough plastic that doesn't break, shatter or bend, but it is not cut proof. Instead, it is a great strong impact weapon that can be use for deadly strikes to the body too! I also find that this weapon can be used as the Chinese sword trainer as well!

    I had a chance to try the Cold Steel Medieval Waster. I am to this day very pleased. I also agree with Mak, Be Extremely Careful. Carelessness can result in Broken Bones. Mak, I salute you.

  • @Chiinnature
    @Chiinnature  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes it does feel like a Chinese sword if you don't put the guard on, but a heavy one, not a normal filmsy sword for sure!

  • @BreedonNoah

    Thank you for the great review! Definitely weighed in on my choice to buy this or not.

  • @Chiinnature
    @Chiinnature  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes! I do agree! If you use this as a trainer sword, you will benefit a lot because of the weight and heavy tip provided. It's REALLY good. I have to tell you that you need to be happy about yourself too, because MOST kungfu "masters" today will tell you bullshit about this sword cannot be used as a training sword because it is "too heavy" and "wrong balance". Well guess what, ignore these comments because they just don't know their thing and have no strength, LOL! Good for you, you got taste!

    Thank you so much for uploading this video, I was actually very skeptical about buying these for practicing with my friends when I heard it was plastic.

    • @Chiinnature
      @Chiinnature  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Akicita Cistila His it's not just plastic for sure, lol! It is so tough that it can be smacked against a tree zillion times and it won't break. the only way to break them is to really use a sharp sword to whip against its blade, then it will be cut in half, lol

    • @KingChikodee
      @KingChikodee 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh awesome. My friends tend to get a little carried away, so that is good to hear lol

      Why the fuck would you sling a practice sword against a fucking tree? Are you stupid?

    • @KingChikodee
      @KingChikodee 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The way my friends use em, it's much worse than hitting them against a tree lmao

    • @simondean8213
      @simondean8213 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Akicita Cistila His these swords don't break, but they dont handle like swords either, they're too tip heavy. Get a Rawlings synthetic sword if you want a durable plastic sparring sword

    Sparring? well.. depends how badass you want to go. For me, I do spar with steel swords if I have a partner. I taught students before who used to spar with me with semi sharpen steel swords too. Well, ya, it depends really on how far you wanna go. Some people are okay with foam swords but honestly, it's useless, cuz you don't even feel the fear of real sword fighting during the session, which plays a BIG role in sword art for real fighting.

  • @Chiinnature
    @Chiinnature  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hitting tree's for several month ain't enough however, you've got to hit FROZEN TREE;S!

    If it was metal, I would mistake it for the King Arthur sword!

  • @JLC5087
    @JLC5087 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    A nail file? Okay, because it does go down but it won't stay, it slowly keeps sliding up, if so, I still use the rubber hammer or nail file method?

    • @Chiinnature
      @Chiinnature  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      JLC5087 no, a file like you can use for metal and shit, buy that in hardware store. There are some small rod like file. slowly sliding up? then it means you are missing the rubber ring, You have a rubber ring with the sword that goes above your guard and it is suppose to stop the guard from going up!

    Can you review the Sword Breaker Trainer? I actually am curious if this particular training sword had the right balance, durability, handling, etc.

    • @Chiinnature
      @Chiinnature  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure bro, that beast is very good but in comparison to the steel one, the trainer is more bulky and fat in terms of grip and the "blade". Otherwise, everything is very alike, even the feeling of handling it really do give you that feeling of the steel one too. Weight and balance - need to measure, but it is not a problem for me,and it can smash bricks and boards just like the steel one, I have done that.

    • @MrAllmightyCornholioz
      @MrAllmightyCornholioz 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chiinnature Hey man! I forgot all about this comment xD Yeah so what is the POB exactly?

  • @Chiinnature
    @Chiinnature  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Huh? you were hitting "frozen trees" and broke yours? Come on, you are using a trainer's weapon as a machete? That's of course not a proper use for a trainers weapon. I doubt Cold Steel will even grant you an exchange for waranty, LOL!!! SNOWING BADASS HERE TONIGHT!

    • @Chiinnature
      @Chiinnature  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JLC5087 rubber hammer therapy, or use a FILE to file the hole inside of the guard and it will go

    • @liLightaura
      @liLightaura 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to another comment I read, try WD40 on the hand guard, just a little, and the WD40 should eventually evaporate.

    • @bushwhackedonvhs
      @bushwhackedonvhs 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      This waster is really poorly balanced, what you should consider doing is adding weight to the pommel or perhaps the bottom of the blade, rather than building up your wrist strength. If you really want to build up your wrist strength, just use this sword without modification. Nothing more to it, really. The thing is actually lighter than historical European blades, but has such bad balance that it feels heavier.

    Omg cool ^^ I have a real hand forged sword which looks like the sword Jet Li uses in Hero. But I can't practice with it because it's sharp and I don't want to accidentally cut off my arm or something xD So I ordered this one because it's roughly the size of my real sword and now I know I can even take of the guard to make it even more similar ^^
