I have had a run in with this man when I worked Security at Pike Place Market. Let me start by saying, he is a Vietnam Vet and yes.... He knows how to use a sword. I told him to drop the beer in the garbage, and he started to engage me. He said, "Ain't nobody taking my beer!" He started approaching me as though he was about to fight. I ripped out my night stick and demanded he step back. I radioed for backup. A minute later, my radio screams "Stand Down! Stand down!" I came back with a "I can take this guy!" My boss runs up, pulls me back and yells to him, "Willy, just leave!" It was then that my coworkers told me he is the infamous Samurai guy. 😂 Police told me he indeed is a very dangerous man and knows how to fight. I was told he would have eaten me for dinner. He eventually settled with Seattle Police over that. He was hit in the mouth with a rubber bullet. My understanding is he got close to a million dollars. This was in the mid 2,000's when I had my run in with him. I am sure he is still lurking around Seattle.

Looking past all the gore stuff it was a really good film touching on the psyche within the self obsessed bankers of 80s wallstreet. I think the move itself is really good and probably in my top 20. I think the Novel got way to dark but the movie perfectly balanced the dark side with the deeper theme. The issue is the movie reached tiktok shortly after I watched the film. Tiktok editors began giving the film a new wave of popularity but the issue behind the surge of relevance was that the movie was very misunderstood. People began idolizing Patrick Batmen, which was severly ironic because the character was never written to be liked. Christan Bale himself said he liked nothing about the character. It’s meant to be an irredeemable character. The distaste from the movie has came from this, as people with common sense understood it’s not a character to praise. I do plan on changing my profile but I haven’t got around to it yet because I never really had a reason to
