As I've said to ya before- this is just a fabulous colour and I love how it's her first car too! I would keep it just as she is to be fair, although I do like the black headlining. This is the best bit of any build is the reassembley of all tye new things and it takes shape! Top job to you both 😊
Thanks Rich, she has good taste that’s for sure and it’s definitely starting to come together slowly but surely. It’s nice to see things going back on that have been in boxes for so many years. Thanks for watching 👍
Woohoo 🎉 Mini content...And what a mini ! You both must be over the moon with the transformation...I would be !!keep drip feeding the episodes, genuinely can't wait to see the finished car 👍
Yay mini content !!! The car looks great it must be so hard to get bits on and not want to go hell for leather Mrs s you did a cracking job on the headliner. Considering it has a black roof it should have a black headliner I think. It has the same seats as Betty I absolutely love that seat mokette it's one of my favourites
Glad you like it buddy it’s nice to see it coming together and her choices of bits and bobs and colours really take shape and her dream to become a reality. Her first car so it’s one to save 👍
@SimpsonsClassics I would love to still have my first car 28 years ago I bought a 4 door morris minor. No clue how to restore and couldn't get insurance on it. It was then scrapped. I'd say alot of people would love there first car they will always remember it. Really loving the progress on it
Looking fantastic Marc. You and Mrs S are bound to be as proud as punch with it. Can’t wait to see it out and about. Are youse going centre clock or sticking with the original line of sight clocks?
Thanks buddy yeah it’s been a long time coming but it’s nice to be putting it back together now. The gauges will be the original 3 in front of the driver but we have a new old stock rockie dash board to go in.
Looking awesome 👍 would you mind sharing the exact paint products used for the nightfire and black and where you sourced them? is it upol clear over acrylic base or something else? Thanks
Hey I am glad you like it. As for materials it was painted by whiteland restorations. It’s and base and clear mixed by there local paint shop so brands etc I don’t know. We used the code and they mixed it. Cheers
Yeah looking good , just change one thing on it the pattern on the rear seat ( it's too much) just black and red stitching would have been enough ( my choice really) the red colour is fantastic what motor are you dropping in a 3 litre Hehehehe ? Good Stuff mate .
Glad you like it. The seats are the original ones and they are in great condition, on camera they look pretty jazzy but in person are dull with some red in the pattern so it ties the car together nicely. As for the engine we have a MG metro 1275 that we will have rebuilt at a later date. Specs etc will be confirmed once the engine has been pulled apart.
I've got 5 things to say... Headliner being black, well mine was the same as yours (cream white) I think they get dirty quite quickly so I'm undecided about my colour. Black looks good though. I need a new wiring loom, yours looks so nice. I'll using the same as oil as like yourselves I've seen lots using it & rating it highly. The wheel arches... didn't you use those rivnut bolts? You've nothing in the holes, or did you plan those paint first before fitting them? Lastly can I get break lines pre-cut from minimine as that would be so much better for me. P.s can Mrs S fit my headliner as it looks 👌, she'd have to do it around my sunroof though 😂😂. Not looking forward to that. Whiteland did a great job of the paint 👍.
I was on the fence with black but it does look nice to be fair. Auto spark made this it’s really good well worth it. Yes I did rivnut them but not sure if I covered it in a video we changed the arches to different ones and have not drilled holes currently. thanks for watching buddy it’s coming together slowly but should be a nice little car when done.
Beautiful colour.
Looking really good can't wait to see it finished.

@@SimpsonsClassics yes. That’s how long that car is going to last brother! Keep up the good work
The black headline is perfect for that car, especially with all the black touches.
