I like idea of the new wiring loom 👍 mines been cut into a few times. I'll be getting a new one also. When you're painting the Racing Green don't hesitate to ask me anything... I'm here if you need me. Your videos have helped me loads with mine & if I can help you. I'd be more than happy 😊.
Hi Keith, I see you are getting more professional in your "videography" Talking to one camera and then turning to the second camera to continue on your introduction. I thought my older style wiring loom looked way to big to go through the "firewall" hole but yours had some even larger omponents to stuff through.. A Prosperous and Healthy 2024 to you ! Cheers.
Looking forward to see how the painting goes, pretty sure mine will need painted to some extent and the local body shop don’t want to touch it. The working on my mini is a total mess so rather than waste any more time trying to find missing wiring that seems to have been chopped, might just be better bite the bullet and put in a new loom
Hi Keith. Another great video. So informative and gives me the inspiration to get on and do my up and coming classic, Ford Capri. You mention you might have your next project lined up for when the racing greens completed. Hope it's going to be a mini estate or clubman estate. That would be great. Keep up the good work 👍
Happy New Year Keith. All the very best for you and yours in 2024. And yes you have every reason to be proud of this rebuild. Sort of been there and done that. Its long, hard and often thankless hours of graft. This will be rather special.
Happy New Year, kieth I would suggest investing in a decent oil and water separation filter/ regulator set before doing your body colour it helps immensely. Love the build 👍🏻
This video was available again this morning but I couldn't comment on it, then it was pulled down. Until 6.30 pm I couldn't comment on it. Great progress by the way.
With the last couple I either couldn't see them on there or they were there but not viewable. Only 2 so far have been watchable before 6.30pm. Makes a nice treat, plus I can watch them in peace on the TV without my missus moaning, lol.
Great Progress mate. The amount of things i lose and then find a few weeks later is unreal 😂 After asking around for the thick spacer rings for the front wheel bearings, i found them yesterday hanging on the wall in the tool store (where i must look everytime i'm in there!) 🤦♂ Sadly the wheel bearings are now on.
After seeing you've stuck the Silent Coat on the rear shelf, have you trial fitted the shelf trim yet? With that hump you will probably have to use something that is not card backed. By the way, I would have stuck the sound deadening on the underside of the shelf inside the boot.
Happy New Year! When you found your pedal box did you do anything to refurbish it? Also, isn't it easier to fit the steering rack before the subframe goes on? I hope to see you again at Bingley.
Hi Keith, a favour please..I note you use the clarke 135te mig. I use the same and I am really a novice..just wondering what settings you use when welding in a patch? I burn through a lot on wire speed 6, min, 2, so wondering what others set when using the 135te.
When you come to fitting the lower dash cover, could you make a point of filming this , just to show us how you would do it. I've got mine to do . Cheers.
Great progress Keith. Very informative about installing the wiring loom.
Enjoyed this one. Helps with the motivation needed to keep going! (I don't mean life, I mean the mini restoration) 😁👍
Watching with interest as just purchased a new loom from mini mine for my flame red 😊

My front passenger side indicator for example seems to have no wire to it at all

Excellent video and great to see the car going back together now.

Thanks mate, Happy New Year.
Hiya Keith-RG is looking good! Can't wait to see it finished. One Mini I would love to see a restoration on would be a 1275GT. Keep well.
Boom a new wiring loom.

Thanks for the tips!

That is so weird, it's meant to be unlisted. You must be one of the lucky ones! You seem to be able to see when I upload them.

There's something going on with TH-cam , for the last week I've been watching vids and getting comment sections from other vids presented ?
Thanks
Thanks Les, very kind of you. I appreciate your support, Cheers.

Coming along very nicely mate👌

I've not really thought about the parcel shelf yet but I'll probably fit 6X9" speakers so it will likely be something MDF based

I just took it apart, cleaned up the threads, lubricated the pedal pin, and painted. Yes, much easier to fit the rack before the subframe is in
Hiring out a spray booth for the weekend isnt that expensive, you might find it easier to spray it in a booth in this weather

Wire speed 6 to 6.5, Min 1with 0.6 wire.
Hi Keith, which 2k Upol clearcoat did you use? There's 4 diffrent varieties! Thanks Andy
UPOL 2K HS Clear Lacquer Kit S2080
Just wonder what brakes you’ve got. Seen a drum kit in the corner of your garage. Ba dum tss 🥁😂
Its coming on Keith, momentum is building. Is that Silent Coat paintable?
I don't think so as it remains very flexible so I would think paint would crack
Good job its flexible with the flex in that parcel shelf 🤣
