- The Celeste All C-Sides TAS has been improved by 3 seconds since the last encode in December 2021! The aim of this category is to complete every C-Side after entering the cheat code in prologue. In the last couple years, C-Side inputs were primarily improved by Vamp, sashabell, LnF, and AAA1459, with miscellaneous contributions from many others.

Note: this TAS does not employ Save and Quits as a means of saving time. Doing so would result in a faster In-Game Time, but only by replacing periods of no control in game with time on the menu. It never adds routing complexity, and since it creates more down-time, all uses were removed in mid 2022.

I’ve been struggling with the C-sides and this video was a savior it made them so much easier with this simple strategy I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before.

Kinda late, but due to the speed, the player is offscreen where the lava doesn't have a hitbox allowing the player to just collect it

very simple magic : if you cant see me, you cant kill me : basically, madeline goes fast enough for the lava hitbox not to be able to follow (or sth like that I'm not a specialist)

Why doesn't the lava kill you in Core?
Madeline goes so fast that she's off the screen, and while the lava hitbox also goes off screen, it isn't as far as Madeline is, so she doesn't die

A simple explanation is that madeline is going so fast that the lava can't keep going with her so she doesn't die (i think the speed is like 2000 or smth but if you want to see how it works search for the centralised camera ver.)
