    Thank you for another amazing comparison. Just want to point out my personal point of view for this kind of comparison, I think because of the way you and probably every one else is arranging these phones the situations is always in favor of the center device, because the amount of travel distance with every movement is being multiplied by the length of arm, which in this case would be the distance between center of the middle phone to the center of each of the other phones. You might want to do a fact check on this just by switching the phones placement order or even better use 3 identical phones.
    Let me just add here that I think your channel is one the very a few that actually does honest reviews! So big kudos man.

    Mi 11 Ultra being last gen flagship is now heavily discounted in China, basically 2.5 times cheaper than S22 Ultra. Taking into consideration that you can use rear camera for taking selfies thanks to the secondary screen, S22 Ultra is simply not worth the price.

    MI 11 ultra has an option in the cemera settings where you can filter out the wind noise when recording videos outside for a more cleaner sound recording. I guess you didn't turn it on.

    If your rig that holds the cameras are in that order, the center camera is going to be the pivot point and the ones on the ends will have more movement. The only way to test is to redo tests with each camera in positions 1,2,3. In the USA there's a see-saw, which may be called a teeter-totter in some places. The middle many times is going to get the least movement.

    Thank you for the amazing video, great review. Allow me to mention a point, Xiaomi recalled a few devices that have an issue with x5 zoom while video recording that is shaky as in (1:20), it is a hardware issue and seems like that your device is one of them. my device does not do that at all, very stable to a point i am really surprised how stable is recording with this device. i met only 2 people on XDA that have the same issue as yours. it is a faulty device and does not reflect Mi 11 ultra in general.
    in my opinion, i'd say the S22 got worst stabilization, worst front camera (i am surprised with that, it should be the Xiaomi with worst front camera), and worst in all types of video recording. while it is best in photo shooting.
    Vivo is best in video recording, stunning videos, however, it is falling behind xiaomi with image stabilization, and in some conditions i tend to go with Xiaomi.
    Xiaomi got best photo shooting on par with S22, while it falls behind in some conditions, and it actually tops both devices in some other scenarios. but it is falling behind with video recording, but not image stability.
    i am surprised how technology is going now, and i'd say it has reached a point that the normal human eye can barely recognize differences, and the variation between results is to satisfy the different tastes of users.

    Wind noise is always hard to judge from a viewer in these random switching mic test, because the wind goes up and down or you could move to a location with more shelter from the wind. But you did so many recordings in strong wind conditions and every time the s22 ultra had no wind noise most of the time or just a very reduced level.
    I tested the s22 ultra with small fans that normally creates loud wind noise on the P30 Pro and the Mi 10 Pro. The s22 ultra did not have any wind noise. Under stronger wind conditions I found that the bottom microphone is more sensitive to wind noise than the top microphone.

    the night mode stills and video quality goes to vivo. i like how well vivo handling the bringht lights, with beautiful colours reproduction in night time and it such a pleasing to look at. Samsung is an all rounder. Amazing at daytime stills, video, and at night also. i mean, if you want a good all rounder, samsung is the way to go. I have a feeling that the regular and plus variant of the S22 will have a better video quality
    especially in the dark, since they don't have as many pixel as the Ultra, and it's individual pixel is larger than the Ultra, which is better usually for video, as proven with a DSLR camera, or even a numerous flagships compared to the S Ultra series

    thanks for the video
    as per one of the comments,sometimes gcam with good configs(file xml) could bring out more specially in midrange phones where they have good sensor but not best software optimization
    so why not have "one" still daytime photo and "one" still night photo of the same thing from the same angle & doing the photo capture from every phone you think of doing that and comparison,sth likes "gsmarena" but this time,Gcam with recommended settings were used and users can easily see which camera performs better with gcam(&setting files) for light&less-light photos. on the website,it would be easy to add that and also generate some traffic there and it's unique as nobody has done it before although gcam story is so old and gsmarena photo comparison tool is also very old.

      @mikldude9376 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most people don’t want to root around with Gcam, 99% of people open the camera on their phone take aim and press the button , why would you waste a huge amount of time and effort for 000.01 percent of the population that may or may not be interested.
      Just saying.

      @amirbahalegharn365 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mikldude9376 those who brings changes to world are also so little in numbers and are of minority,so should we ignore them or say's don't waste efforts or money or energy to them? no....if sth is improving life or making a better world in technology or else,it shouldn't be disregarded or ignored..this way, users will be able to shift the focus of companies to bring "easy root access" via settings,etc... the demand makes the features present or not and i think android is great & its main growth is because of customization features and the capability to improve it further by users or devs.

    The 5X optical & 15X digital(max)1080P Video both on the X70 pro and X70 Pro Plus is quite good and detailed.
    All you have to do is to turn off anti-shake(EIS) and the video doesn't stutters as observed at 5X or above magnification as EIS tries to compensate for motion correction.
    However 4K is capped at 2X on both X70 series phones which is disappointing.

    Wanted to let people know that the x70 pro plus has got serious bendgate issue. The antenna on the frame is its weak spot and has bent while carrying around in pocket within the first month and has become a lot worse in 6 months. So beware. This gets more frustrating as this is on top of all the UI bugs i have experienced including constantly dropping frame rates.

    The Mi 11 Ultra has a terribile audio, continuously disturbed by the loud noise created by the wind on the microphone, even when you were going slowly, almost stationary inside the tunnel, with probably no wind there.
    If this issue cannot be easly eliminated, via software or a hardware add-on, well the Mi 11 Ultra is definitely poor, considering that these devices, also and above all, are used to record the audio of the calls... if I'm not wrong.
    Vivo X70 is affected by much less noise, has the strongest audio of these three smartphones, but it's a little too metallic, a bit too much distorted, even if within the limits of the acceptable. Very lacking in medium tones, almost all are in the treble range.
    The Samsung S22 audio volume is too low, muffled, it seems to have a microphone covered by something inside, however it's the cleanest, without that scratching noise of the wind and has an imperceptible distortion.
    Of course, limiting the volume the expected result should be just so, a low distorsion.

    Great review, taking into account the cost for those phones and the issues that the new snapdragon has I think the 11 ultra is the better deal here even if not the best.
    Ive been holding on this year until we get the Mi 12 Ultra announced otherwise if I was in a rush to replace a device I would get the 11 Ultra now.

    Just wait for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra or Vivo X80 Pro+, Samsung is getting worse and worse every year, not only the price is rising, but you also get less is hardware, software and accessories! The price, performance and the absence of the charger in the box is totally unacceptable. Other phones like the ones I said at the beginning are cheaper, almost the same quality as Samsung, you get everything in the box including the charging brick which is way faster, I mean way way faster, 67 to 120 Watts, you get even free cases, 3.5 to USB-C dongles, even wireless earphones on the last year Vivo X70 Pro+, all that for free in the box with the phone and in some cases cheaper than 1000€. Not to mention all the features you get, like Zeiss lens on Vivo or Leica cameras on Xiaomi, quad speakers on Xiaomi, 1 billion colours display with Dolby Vision, 480 Hz touch sampling rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon everywhere in the world (not Exynos badness). You also have complete software animation personalization for fingerprint, charging, app icons and many others. You get other rare features like IR blaster, 4D vibration, better speaker tuning for Xiaomi from Harman Kardon, complete display colour calibration settings, crazy fast wireless charging speeds 50 Watts and higher, and many others that Samsung phones don't have in software, hardware and accessories.
    My phone that I'm using for almost 2 years is the Note 20 Ultra 5G, the last acceptable one in those terms from Samsung.
    I DON'T SUGGEST ANYONE TO BUY SAMSUNG PHONES FROM NOW ON, IT'S SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

    • @mikldude9376
      @mikldude9376 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dunno mate , still a bit of a toss up I think and I would probably still lean towards the galaxy in this case, you do get a fairly balanced experience with the galaxy, you do get Dex, the S pen , decent battery life, 4K on the selfie camera, and I would guess probably way better in the updates on the galaxy than the other two.
      I get what your saying though , my last galaxy was my dear old note 9 (that I still use )which has all the old school galaxy bells and whistles, and with all the accessories which in a lot of ways that makes all these new phones (even the note 20) look somewhat impoverished imo .
      I too am somewhat disappointed in Samsungs change in its marketing direction in the last few years with in some ways a downgraded product , despite its improvements in some areas.
      I no longer buy android phones after 10 years of android.

    • @Kristian-uz8mq
      @Kristian-uz8mq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mikldude9376 I agree with you, I was a big fan of Samsung, but everything it is doing now is exactly like Apple, I don't know a person who will buy the 1TB variant that costs 1700€ excluding the charger, case and earphones that must be bought separately, so the price is 2000€. That's absolutely a no no because people upgrade the phone every 2 years, for that price you can buy a fully upgraded premium laptop with an OLED display, touchscreen with stylus and a true desktop experience. I used Dex, I don't see it all that often being used also the S pen is not something everyone will use. The Vivo phone I was talking about, the Vivo X70 Pro+ has a 4K selfie camera. The new ones from Xiaomi and Vivo are expected to bi big upgrades this year, I personally will go with Xiaomi because I like the software and the amount of customization and personalization you can do with with. I game a lot on my phone, so they also got a Game Turbo, a better menu than Samsung's Game Launcher.
      If you compare the phones with Samsung you can see much more value for them, also I think is boring to get always the same phone as Samsung is doing every year now, the display is not the best on Samsung as they miss 1 billion colours, Dolby Vision, 480Hz touch sampling rate, variable refresh rate which can be locked on 60, 90 or 120 all the time, and anti flicker mode, many other too. The speakers are way better on the new phones as well, on Xiaomi you get true stereo speakers (not the earpiece) with quad speaker design with a separate woofer and tweeter, all of that combined with the Harman Kardon tuning with Dolby Atmos support. Even the charging is light years ahead on those phones, 120W wired and 50 or 67 wireless, Samsung is not even close. 10W reverse charging too. Again you get everything you need in the box.
